I am running the same dates....feb 2nd-9th at POP with 8days base tickets plus dining. then running the same dates but just putting in staying 4nights and only gettin 4 day base ticket plus dining....i could save 500 bucks then if the throw in the 200$ gift card then savin 700 dollars is a great savings for a single mom. not sure if they will do a room only or if it has to be a package. i like the room only ressie for one reason. i like to make payments and usually use some of my tax return to pay the rest so if i had to book a package it will be hard on the wallet. but i guess i will wait and see what they say this evening.

We took advantage of the same deal back in 2003 - they called it their Fairytale Vacation Package. W/O it we never would have gone to DW. We decided to do it as a surprise for the kids and didn't tell them we were leaving until a week before! Sprang it on them on my daughter's 18th birthday.

I'm hoping they will extend it to the end of the year as we are planning a trip in early December - or at least give the free dining again in Dec like they are doing this year!!

Book your trip beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2008. How big is this discount? It's the biggest discount run by Disney Parks since 2001!

For every 4 nights - you get 3 nights free!
For every 4 days of tickets - you get 3 days free!
If you book your trip between January 4th and March 29th, you also receive a $200 Disney Gift Card to spend!

*****Book between November 6th and December 20th!*****
Travel between January 4th and June 27th!
Travel between January 4th and March 29th to include the Disney Gift Card.
Travel between March 29th and June 27th to include the discount, but not the Disney Gift Card.

How might dining fight in? Same --buy 4 get 3 or just pay daily?? Any ideas?

I am figuring it this is true, we won't do a dining plan, but will use the gift card $200 towards food, It wouldn't cover the whole week but it would help...........I would assume you can use it anywhere in the wdw resorts and parks? does anyone know?

Wow...this really has me thinking. We really can't afford it until later in the year, but we could really save a lot of $$ with that deal. I'll have to bug DH and see what happens. I priced it out and we can do a full week with this deal in Feb (and DS would only miss 4 days of school) VS 4nts in Dec.... But we would have to put it on the CC if we did it in Feb, vs saving till Dec.

ETA: The dates I picked for Feb are over my B-Day...I wonder if I can get the gift card for that with this deal too....I don't think the 2009 B Day thing starts till March, though.

I was wondering that too. It probably won't include the dining, but you never know. It would be a great deal. Too bad DH used all his vacation time until July .

THAT is the deciding factor that will make/break this deal for our family.
No one will know for sure until 5:00.

Does anyone think it will be better than what they are offering for AP holders for the beginning of the year?

On that program rooms are about 40% of rack rate.So a moderate room that is usually 149.00 a night is 89.00.

They are usually not included in 'Disney" specials (since they are not Disney properties but rather Starwood)

If the bday promotion is going on I would think you could get both---don't you get the birthday prize at a park?
