We are arriving next Saturday, 2 BR at Boardwalk for a week. I have never used Disney's grocery delivery before. We drive, so I bring all nonperishables with me, then go down to the store at whatever resort we're at, after we check in, and buy milk, cream, chocolate milk, eggs, etc. Pretty much just dairy items. It's worth the convenience of not having to bring a large cooler.

This time we're bringing my mother and nephews, and I was thinking it would be so nice to have it all delivered, as I'll need more stuff than usual. I looked at the order form on line. Questions - do you get the 10% DVC discount if you preorder? And can you use the Disney Rewards Card as the credit card? If I go to the store and get the stuff, I was going to charge to my room, then go to the front desk the day before we leave and pay it all off with my Disney Rewards Card.
Thanks!

Pretty sure that the items will be charged to your room.

Have you considered WeGoShop or Garden Grocer for your delivery?

We did a study and decided that it was cheaper to rent a car for a day and do our own shopping.

I downloaded the order form from the DVC Member site, and it requires a credit card number and signature. So I thought it would go directly onto the card. Just wanted to use my rewards card, since it isn't "real" money - ha!

Also, the reason I want to order from Disney, and not another place, is I want to use Disney Rewards dollars to pay for it. DH ran ALOT of his business expenses through the Disney Visa card this year, and we have a lot more to spend than we usually do. So was going to do some splurges this trip. If I use an outside grocery service, I have to pay with "real" money.

1) The order form I have for Boardwalk explicitly states on the bottom of the second page that your 10% discount will be applied.

2) I think I'd give them the Rewards card information as the credit card info and *tell* them that it's the rewards card -- presumably they'd let you know if they don't accept that. At least it would open up a dialogue for you to explain what you want to do and, if they say 'no', you can then decide what you want to do then.

I stand corrected.

I understand but me being me, I still would check prices and not let Disney lock me into spending more because of their rewards program.

That being said, we have Disney gift cards, rewards credits, Disney Dollars and some E tickets to get rid of. :goodvibes

Boy is Disney smart. :thumbsup2
