Disney got rid of Janet Jacksons Mickey

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Janet Jackson's mouse is history.

Disney has quietly gotten rid of a 6-foot statue of Mickey Mouse that was dressed like Jackson.

The statue was one of 75 unveiled at Disney World last fall to celebrate the 75th birthday of Mickey Mouse.

They were inspired by celebrities such as Andre Agassi, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ellen DeGeneres.

Disney spokesman Gary Foster told the Orlando Sentinel considering all the controversy it drew, they decided to replace Jackson's Mickey with a new one.

It's been replaced by a spare statue designed by an in-house Disney artist. The statues -- minus the Jackson one -- have been shipped to a convention center in Philadelphia, for investors to see at Disney's annual shareholder meeting.

I personally think this is ridiculous. I wish everyone would just get over it! It's not like the Mickey statue was on display with it's boob hanging out. Boy I tell you I pray I never do anything wrong.

I think Disney did the right thing! Disney is "family" oriented, and what Janet Jackson did at the Super Bowl was definitely NOT "family" oriented!!

I am more offened by the viagra, the ribbed for her pleasure condoms and the femine itching products being advertised on TV than I was by seeing one lousy nipple.....I can't believe people made such a big deal out of that!

I'm surprised as well. 1st off it was so far away to tell and little kids don't think "was that a boob" and the ones who do I'm sure have seen boobs before.No big deal. People have small minds and its those people who have sneaky kids and don't talk to there kids about sex and the kids that get in trouble.
