Disney Goes The Extra Mile - That's Why I Like 'Em

i hope the lady who lost her sunglasses( forget her name) at the water park reads this and calls disney.

Another example of Disney Customer Service ...
Just last month at Epcot, my DD5 left her water bottle and strap on Spaceship Earth.
It was a strap we had gotten at Disneyland this summer, so she was pretty upset.
The CM told us it takes about 15 minutes for the ride to go completely around, so come back then and hopefully, they would have found it.
Well, 15 minutes later, no water bottle and strap.
So my DD starts crying and I told her we'd get her another strap, but she was beyond help (poor emotional mess of a child!).
Another CM says, "Come with me - We'll go to Guest Services and see if maybe it was turned in."
So we wait outside the CM entrance as he goes in ... about 5 minutes later, he comes back out, not with a water bottle strap, but with one of those spray bottle fans.
I told him, "Oh, that's not the kind of water bottle we lost."
He said, "I know, but this should keep your little princess happy while we take a walk to find her a new bottle strap."
I was so happy for my DD and thankful to the CM - He walked us over to a cart and gave the CM there a voucher for a bottle strap, then asked for a small water bottle to put on it.
It was an Epcot strap, with all the flags on it, so now my DD feels so special because her strap is different from ours!
I didn't expect a new strap or water bottle, and I certainly didn't expect the spray bottle fan.
The CM went way above and beyond his duties in making my DD's day special and turning her frown upside down!
I just wish I had gotten his name ...
Thank goodness for that Disney magic - We got some pixie dust that day, for sure!
Walt would have been proud!

Can someone pass on some of that magic? We left a brand new disney soccer ball in our room. Checked out at 9 am and realized it before we got out of the lobby, DH went back to look but maids were rude and said they didn't see it. Been calling to see if it has been found but the said nope. I know it was there. we bought it the day before for $9 and the boys were playing soccer before sleeping. Somebody got a free ball and my DS misses it.

We were at WDW Oct 1-9 of this year. One day on the way back from a park my DH and I stopped at the Belle Vue room at the BWI for a quick drink. The bartender was great and we watched someone filming I think a commercial. It was pretty neat. The next day my DH answers the phone and someone asks him if he's missing his camera case. We didnt even know we left it ( we only had one drink but I guess with everything going on we forgot) there was no id tags or anything. My DH thank goodness put his prescription medication in the bag thats how they found us. We have a very expensive camera we were so happy to get it back they even delivered it right to our villa. We havent developed the pictures yet so we don't know if the finder took any ( my friend had that happen with a disposable camera the finders took a picture of themselves it was pretty neat). Anyway I agree some times Disney really goes out of the way thats why I own DVC

We just came back from staying at AKL. We had changed rooms after the first night for a better savanna room, and a few days later came back to find a voicemail from a CM saying they had DH's cellphone and keys. Turns out he'd left them in the room we'd stayed at for the first night. But, for some reason, AKL had no record of us staying in that room, so they didn't know whose phone it was. To make it worse, the battery was dead. So the very kind CM found a charger, charged the phone, then went through the address book for phone numbers. He then called a couple of our friends, not using the cell phone since we're Canadian and that would have been very expensive, and asked our friends if they had any idea whose phone this was. Then they tracked us down in our new room. We had no idea the phone was even missing, and certainly needed the keys to get back into our apartment! I was amazed that they would go to that much trouble to return our phone.

Two years ago my dd(8) left her baby pillow at the asmusic that she`s had since birth. she was so upset, but I tried not making such a big deal about it.
Low and behold a week after we got home we recieved a postcard that something might of been left behind on our stay and left a # to call, well I did, and they sent it to us. It is sorta magical, huh? I really wonder how some people just dont get it!

For what its worth I found a mobile phone after one of the castle showa last December and handed it in at City Hall - the CMs seemed shocked I had bothered to hand it in at all - I hope the owner got it back (was a really small Panasonic from memory).
