Another example of Disney Customer Service ...
Just last month at Epcot, my DD5 left her water bottle and strap on Spaceship Earth.
It was a strap we had gotten at
Disneyland this summer, so she was pretty upset.
The CM told us it takes about 15 minutes for the ride to go completely around, so come back then and hopefully, they would have found it.
Well, 15 minutes later, no water bottle and strap.
So my DD starts crying and I told her we'd get her another strap, but she was beyond help (poor emotional mess of a child!).
Another CM says, "Come with me - We'll go to Guest Services and see if maybe it was turned in."
So we wait outside the CM entrance as he goes in ... about 5 minutes later, he comes back out, not with a water bottle strap, but with one of those spray bottle fans.
I told him, "Oh, that's not the kind of water bottle we lost."
He said, "I know, but this should keep your little princess happy while we take a walk to find her a new bottle strap."
I was so happy for my DD and thankful to the CM - He walked us over to a cart and gave the CM there a voucher for a bottle strap, then asked for a small water bottle to put on it.
It was an Epcot strap, with all the flags on it, so now my DD feels so special because her strap is different from ours!
I didn't expect a new strap or water bottle, and I certainly didn't expect the spray bottle fan.
The CM went way above and beyond his duties in making my DD's day special and turning her frown upside down!
I just wish I had gotten his name ...
Thank goodness for that Disney magic - We got some pixie dust that day, for sure!
Walt would have been proud!
