Hi all!

This will be my 5th Disney cruise but my first concierge. I am booking a one bedroom on the Dream. Can you please tell me what I should expect? I will be sleeping on the pullout sofa, can I ask for a topper? Extra pillows? Do I get any wifi for free? It's only a 3 day but I'm a little overwhelmed and a lot excited. I want to make sure I get my money's worth, but I don't want to be a pain. Can you ask for energy drinks? My cruising party consists of an 86 year old, a 50 year old (me!) and a 15 year old, if that helps. We are not planning on any excursions or onboard events.

Thanks for the help!!

Congrats on booking a suite. You will be very spoiled and not ever want to stay in a regular room again. Yes you can ask for a topper and extra pillows. There is a special pillow menu so you have a lot to pick from. Request whatever drinks you want before and they will be in your room when you arrive. In a suite you get free basic wifi for the whole time, in a regular concierge room you only get it one day. Wifi can be very spotty and may not work great though. You may have to upgrade if you are planning on working from the ship or streaming movies. The concierge CM'S and your stateroom host will be able to get anything you want...as long as they have it onboard. Enjoy your cruise.
Edited to add: In a suite you can also have meals from the main dining rooms delivered to your suite.

A 1 Bedroom Concierge on the Dream is most definitely a mistake in choice. DW and I did our 1st in 2015 and anything else just doesn't cut the mustard. Being spoiled is an understatement. Enjoy.

p.s. - we had dinner in suite every evening. Very relaxing and quiet

Can the folks not in the main bed also order from the pillow menu?
Is there a schedule somewhere of when they serve what in the lounge? I know that happy hours are 5 to 10, which is lovely, but tell me all about snacks please.

We sailed concierge on the Wish and they had some form of snacks out pretty much all day. They have light offerings similar to something you'd eat for a meal at the meal times.

The lounge will have some form of food all day. The morning is usually a continental buffet with hot items you can order from servers, lunch will have soup, sandwiches, and salads, happy hour will have hot appetizers, and late night will be desserts. The bar is open around 4 to 10 pm. Since you're in a one bedroom, you also have the option of ordering any meal from the main dining rooms to your suite. This also includes Palo, not sure about Remi.

They can definitely provide a mattress topper and selection of pillows for the room. The rooms come with elevated toiletries by default, but you can always ask for something special too. I'm 90% sure energy drinks are included in the list of things they'll stock your room with. Sodas and other soft drinks definitely are, along with mickey bars in the freezer.

Concierge will handle any excursion and activity bookings for you, just send an email once the booking window is open. They can also help with dining room requests. For theater shows, there will be a time to meet in the concierge lounge about an hour before the show. You can grab snacks and drinks there, and they should give everyone popcorn, before walking you to the theater before the doors open.

You also get a private lunch on embarkation day and escorted to the gangway when you're ready to depart. Your room should be ready as soon as you board in group 1, so if you'd like to use the pools on embarkation day, it's really easy.

Food- continental breakfast in the morning (little pastries, small charcuterie plates, fruit plates, smoothies, yogurt/fruit cups, muesli.) Coffee/tea, drinks. Some ships have hot items you can order-they will provide you with a menu. Mid-day-light lunch items-small sandwiches, sushi etc. Around 3 or 4 they serve high tea- scones, small sandwiches, pastries. Happy hour starts at 5- appetizers, rolls. Once again, if your ship offers hot selections, you will be provided with a menu to order. Late night-small desserts. You will have a list of exact times in your cabin.

The cookies in the jar are amazing- different flavors each day- try them!

Enjoy the embarkation lunch. It is a quiet way to start your cruise. You will meet the hosts and they will help you will anything you need.

If you are seeing the show in the evening- meet the hosts at the designated spot. I swing by the lounge for something to drink and they provide popcorn if you wish. Choice of seats in the theater, which is lovely.

On the Wish, a member of the concierge staff grabbed us when we boarded and took us to the designated sitdown restaurant that was doing the concierge welcome aboard lunch (which is the same as the regular sitdown menu). After we were seated and served, someone came by from the concierge staff to go over any wants/needs and review any requests we had made.
