Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

Not a huge strawberry shortcake fan here :rolleyes1 I like strawberries without any sugar :confused3 But it sure looks pretty!! :) Come to think of it, I like all of the components of strawberry shortcake just not all on the same plate together! :lmao:

Dylan is adorable! Ziggy has that same toy. ;) He likes toys that are bigger than him! Is that the same dog I saw maybe on FB with socks on? :rotfl::rotfl:

Tracy

I agree with Jackie. Strawberries are healthy, so strawberry shortcake for breakfast is an excellent option. Plus, isn't the cake made with milk? Milk is a great source of vitamin D and calcium. And sugar does come from a plant :lmao:

Dylan is adorable!

Your dog nephew is cute. I agree with all the others and think there is nothing wrong with having strawberry shortcake for breakfast. YUMMO

Super cute doggie! I'm not a big fan of big doggies either but he looks adorable in those pics.

Not a big tuna fan, myself. Y'all can have it alllllllllllllllllll to yourselves!

Can you believe we're nearly at the two week mark?! INSANE!!!!

Have we figured out if we're gonna be in any of the same parks on the same days?!

LL and Jen are going to have so much fun in a few weeks!!! I am so excited for you! I will tell you the Ice Cream Sandwiches are the best! My favorite snack! They are huge! And January is the time to eat one, so it doesn't melt in five minutes !!! I am trying to catch up!! :goodvibes

Cute dog!

I'm all for hitting Sunshine Seasons for pastry for breakfast. Nothing wrong with that in my book! :goodvibes
I think that is what we will be having for breakfast. I can't wait!

Sunshine Season Strawberry Shortcake: :cloud9::cloud9::love::love::cloud9::cloud9:

I guess I will be missing out on this in January, it would be really to unfair to indulge in it when my sister only can look at it since it has dairy in it... Well, we will have to make up for it with Tequila shots at the new bar in Mexico and champagne from France, both things she hasn't any intolerance against! :thumbsup2
Oh, that is so sad that your sister can't have that! I think Tequila shots will more than make up for it though.

I think we'll definitely be hitting up Sunshine Seasons in February. I've heard really good things about it and that strawberry shortcake looks amazing.

Dylan is such a cutie! I love that he fell asleep with the toy in his mouth. My dog actually has the exact same one and he LOVES it!
My Mom & I had an excellent lunch there in May. She picked the dessert though, I believe carrot cake which was really good but strawberry shortcake is more my thing.

Dylan loved that silly toy! It was so cute.

The In Two Weeks game starts tomorrow so we should be able to see if we are going to be in any of the same places!

Chicken Bastilla from Marrakesh.

chickenbastilla.jpg

The Chicken Bastilla is all the way over to the left side of the plate.

Allears describes it as: baked layers of thin pastry stuffed with minced chicken and almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar
Originally I was just going to order this, then I saw this platter that the picture is of.
This is the description, Sultan Sampler - grilled brochette of either beef or chicken served with a Beef Brewat Roll and Chicken Bastilla served with vegetable couscous.

I'm all for trying out this new restaurant! I think throwing in some exotic is great!!!! I'm not sure about the cinammon and powdered sugar on top but I'm willing to try anything once LOL!!!!

Yum! I'm looking forward to trying this out.
I second this!

Tomorrow starts the "In Two Weeks..." posts!

I bet the chicken with the cinnamon and almonds will be a nice pairing. I make a Greek casserole that has cinnamon in it along with feta cheese and other yummies. It is very good! :goodvibes

That looks fantastic. I think that chicken is one of the only things that really peaked my interest at Marrakesh, so I'll be looking forward to how you like it. :goodvibes

I know how excited you are because I am that excited, too!!! We are so close to the 2 week mark. I am going to do the online check-in Monday!!! Now, let's just hope for some warm weather.

I'm really excited to try it, I hope I like it. The pairing sounds like something I would like but sometimes you never know. :rotfl:

Yes, that was one thing that really stood out on the menu to me. I'm not terrible exotic with my food choices so this ADR is a bold step for me.

So excited! I think I'm going to do online check in too. I want to test it out. :rotfl2:

Marrakesh is definitely a bold step.

BE BOLD, LL, be bold!!!! :goodvibes

Hey - I think this is a great restaurant to try -- there shwarma platters are awesome (had that this week!) and you are right -- try something different, it adds to the fun and adventure. And I agree that the spices will probably be complimentary.

Be bold! I like it. That totally sounds like a tshirt. :rotfl2:

Yes, it does add to the adventure. We both wanted to try someplace that neither of us had been before and this fit the bill. I think it was between Marrakesh, San Angel and Teppan Edo. Right, Jen?

It sounds good even though it's different. I'll be anxious to see what you girls thought of it. What better time to try something new?

I loved the chicken bastilla - I too was curious about the cinnamon combo - but let me tell you it was melting bursts of yummy flavour in your mouth- not spicy, but exotic and sweet. I am drooling thinking about it. I couldn't stop telling everyone at the table how good it was. I ordered the appetizer chicken bastilla and it was large, it could have been my whole lunch! I then tried the chicken kebab as my main entree (we went for lunch). I also recommend the Moroccan Mint Tea, it was a nice change ( I ordered an ice water with lemon as well ;)) For dessert I had the morrocan symphony - baklava yumminess!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, the only thing I didn't like was they sat us right next to the music guys and it was loud! But boy did it feel like I was someplace else. :goodvibes. I am so excited for you both!

I am really looking forward to your dining review! And can't wait for the "in two weeks" posts. Can't believe it is almost - finally- here! :woohoo:

Tuna Salad on Croissant from The Plaza.

tunacroissant.jpg

I am so looking forward to this! I've never been jazzed up about The Plaza menu but I knew it was important for Jen to try it and then I stumbled across this little baby. YUMM! I can't wait. It's going to be good. I just know it! I'm so glad we get to try the Plaza...as it's been on my must do list for awhile now!!! However the tuna is all yours...not the world's biggest tuna fan LOL!!!! I can't believe you don't like Tuna! You really aren't a seafood fan, are you?

I'm hoping to get a "real" update in this week in addition to the food countdown. I've been so busy the last few weeks that I haven't had time to keep on my subscription let alone update!

Whew just caught up!
Have to comment on the tuna sandwich!
We were at MK on Christmas night and Marc asked me why we had never eaten at The Plaza...
I said that I really hadn't heard much about it except that it had decent burgers, but now that I have seen that tuna salad sandwich we are going next trip. Looks delish!
Very cute pictures of Dylan, love his new toy and so did he!
Why was he wearing socks on FB?

One more thing...
You do have a packing list don't you?
Probably time to use it!
