So in an effort to put off packing even longer..... :rolleyes1

I just read your entire May TR.

:lmao:

No wonder you are taking half a pharmacy of blister prevention with you! Girl you must have been miserable!

and Jen! You rocked it out with the rental car chaffeuring!!

Sounds like despite all the pain and rain, y'all had a great trip.

I sincerely hope that you two have a fantastic REDO trip. No rain and no pain!!!!!!

The chances of showers for next weekend are bugging me a bit. I keep checking different websites, to see whose weather report I like better and then convincing myself that it's the most accurate one!

:rotfl:

3 more days ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yay:

I've never had the fudge from Main Street, either. I'll need to fix that, too.

I cannot believe you're going so soon! I've been getting picture texts and some updates from my friend who is down there now, and it's making me so excited to go. We got to start playing "this time next month" today.
WOO HOO!! Are you going to do a PTR/TR again??

Jen...don't you have a TIW card???? Did u see this??? I wanna go and its while you are there!!!

We saw that earlier today and we entertained the idea for about five minutes and then our heads got out of the clouds, looked in our wallets and cried. :rotfl2: I seriously want to go. It's so neat! I saw the menu on another website and it looks seriously awesome. Too bad it's so pricey.

So in an effort to put off packing even longer..... :rolleyes1

I like that motto...no rain and no pain! :rotfl2: Maybe if our trip works out that would be a good TR title. :lmao:

I haven't looked at the weather today. I did pack though! Mostly done.
:thumbsup2

If I remember right, Celebration Fudge has white chocolate, marshmallows and celebration sprinkles and maybe white chocolate pieces. It was good and very rich. Usually I would go for something with milk chocolate but I was feeling like something different that day. I don't think you can go wrong with fudge.;)

That sounds really good! I'm a huge fan of White Chocolate. Mmmmm.

*I'm taking three bags.

My 2 purple suitcases and my large black duffel bag. The small purple suitcase will be my carryon. I am bringing my backpack as well but that is flattened and packed in the black duffel.

*I'm not bring my large camera.

I can't quite believe it but I'm happy with this decision. My bigger camera is really heavy and while I love taking photos for you all, I know that Jen has a very similar camera to my bigger Canon. She has graciously agreed to let me use it if I get the urge for some artsy shots. I like my point and shoot and it takes decent pictures. I don't want to be weighed down by it or worry about it breaking. Sometimes I think I take less pictures (especially in May) because I got sick of it being around my neck and would just throw into my park bag.

*I don't like the outfits I have planned.

I really planned on the layered look with tees and long sleeve shirts. If it's warmer I'm afraid I'm going to run out of tees. I'm a Northern gal, if it's in the 60's I'm not going to want long sleeves on. :rotfl: I guess that just gives me the excuse of buying some Disney tees while down there.

*I've lost count of how many boxes of bandaids I have bought.

Seriously....I have way too many. I know this but I don't care. I will not run out.

*I have a feeling I will have to do laundry on vacation.

One pair of the jeans I was planning on bringing are way too big. WAY TOO BIG. I can't find a belt that fits me right either so they are staying home. I think I'm going to just have to wash the jeans I do have halfway through.

*I can't decide what to wear on the plane down.

My work pants are nice and comfy so I might just throw on a hoodie and sneaks with them. They won't look funny, they almost look like yoga pants just a little fancier so I can get away with them. I just hate the thought of wearing work pants on vacation. Comfy or not.

*I picked out my two plane books.

Between Sisters by Kristin Hannah and Breaking the Silence by Diane Chamberlain. I may bring one more book just haven't figured out which one it will be yet.

*I need to buy luggage tags.

I want something that is going to stand out, my Disney ones have had two addresses put on them and they look yucky. I figure I can get some neon bright ones at Walmart tomorrow.

*I almost forgot to pack my knee brace.

What an idiot, huh? The only reason I remembered it was that I tripped over it in my bedroom this afternoon. :upsidedow

*I'm almost done packing.

I only have to put a few shirts in my bags that are air drying so they don't shrink and the order with the fleece jacket and thermal underwear I probably won't need.

I'm off to bed and I'll wake up and it will only be TWO more sleeps! :dance3:

WOO HOO!! Are you going to do a PTR/TR again??

I'm definitely doing a TR! My friend is going just a month after me and had the idea of doing a TR together (kind of a 2-in-1) because both our other PTR/TRs got moved to the completed board (due to not being updated for a little while), before they were done and we figured if there's 2 of us working on it, it will be pretty much constantly going. I was really bummed about mine getting closed but I didn't know if re-starting a TR would be considered reopening a closed thread, and I definitely didn't want to get points for that. I want to PM the mods first to make sure a 2-in-1 is okay. I don't see why it wouldn't be but I am kind of a paranoid rule-follower. :rotfl2:

I cannot believe that tomorrow is your last Monday! I'm starting to look at big things coming up (a Bruins game and school starting up again) and being excited over how many days we'll have left on those days. I'm really excited for your FB updates!

WOOT for being done packing and WOOT for bringing more bags than me...well at least more suitcases! I'm going to make it with just 1 suitcase and one duffle!! Since tomorrow night is my packing night I will post some of my notes and pictures then!!!!

I will be bringing my hamper with me and we can totally do laundry when we move from POFQ to SSR..there we can have free access to the laundry WOOT!!!!!

I totally get what you are saying about the camera. A couple years ago our camera died and DH talked me into a nice, but large, camera. I hate lugging that thing around & find myself tucking it away and not taking pictures as often as I would with a small camera. I got a new small Kodak EasyShare for Christmas and can't wait to use it at Disney!! It's so small - I love it! And it probably takes better pictures than the big on...

I'm with you on large cameras. I love the size of mine. It may not do a great job indoors or in low light but it's good enough everywhere else!

Very excited to follow you on FB during the trip!

WOOT for being done packing and WOOT for bringing more bags than me...well at least more suitcases!

:rotfl: So maybe not more stuff....just more suitcases?

:goodvibes

Woohoo for two more sleeps! So glad you almost tripped over your knee brace so you'd remember to pack it! I am allll about comfort when it comes to airplanes! I figure there's no one I need to impress so why get all gussied up? I also try to wear slip-on shoes, makes security soooo much easier! I don't blame you for not wanting to lug around a big camera, I wouldn't want to either..besides..all your band-aids and blister stuff will be using that room..LOL. No worries on laundry, I'm packing one bag for Piper AND I to share, I know I'll be doing laundry, but I'd rather do that than shell out the extra cash for another bag. I am however, going to pack another duffle within that bag in case we need it on the way home! I'm so excited for your trip..I don't twitter though, and I don't think I want to follow on facebook and ruin your trip report for myself! I'll be thinking about you guys down there having fun!

Woo hoo for packing!! :cool1:
I would just wear your work pants on the plane since they are comfy then when you get there put them somewhere where you don't have to look at them until you get home!!:thumbsup2
I was going to mention the free laundry at SSR but I see Jen already did..I always do laundry when I am there :sad2:
It does look like it is getting warmer...and that is a good thing:goodvibes I do wonder though if Jen will still be wearing her cuddle duds? :lmao:
And the weather is good for up here too so that is good for take off! :thumbsup2

Tracy

I chuckled and was worried at your comment about tripping over the knee brace. I thought - jeez, she trips over it and then she's going to really need it!! YIKES!
Glad that you weren't injured! Go for the comfy work pants. I'm so happy for you that your jeans are too big!!

It sounds like you have a good packing plan!:cool1::thumbsup2:cheer2: for pants that are too big! We ended up doing laundry half way through our trip in June and it was great! Especially since I came home with a lot of clean clothes it made unpacking a lot easier. I always tie a brightly colored ribbon on my suitcase handles to make them stand out more. I think your pictures will be great no matter what camera you use!:thumbsup2

I somehow missed your packing update -- we must have been typing on top of each other earlier. :upsidedow

I'm glad you're just about done packing! I made my lists earlier, along with a to-do list. Having it all written (typed) out is making me really excited and also nervous...I just want everything done and packed. :rotfl2:

When you read this, it will be two more sleeps for you! I can't believe it!

I'm not sure about the parade. I think they still have a different 3PM one, that is maybe a little different than last years parade but I'm not 100% sure.

Did you see the post here on the DIS about the addition of the Muppets as a "pre-parade parade"? Looks cute.

Fudge from Main St.

mainstfudge.jpg

I haven't ever tried it either! I believe Joe got a piece once. He enjoyed it....I think this would be a good little treat, and to bring one home would be extra nice. Disney food at home is just the best!

I'm your friend on Facebook, so I'll be happily following along-looking forward to it all....THREE SLEEPS! (You are probably sleeping now, so 2.5! ;))

I did the layered thing for this past trip. Long sleeves with tees on top, and a jacket or hoodie when needed. It worked well. Except on our 60s/70s day, then it was short sleeves. You are probably right in your thinking.

I like the idea of buying more Disney tees.

I'm SO WITH you on the work pants on vacation thing! I don't have a job anymore, but I would be the exact same way!

I like that motto...no rain and no pain! :rotfl2: Maybe if our trip works out that would be a good TR title. :lmao:

Oh, I really hope that you can make this your TR title, that would be awsome!! :thumbsup2

Your packing sounds great! I think your point and shoot will be fine and I agree with others who voted for wearing comfy work pants on plane! :goodvibes

I'm sure you would be just fine with at 2 in 1 TR.

Thank goodness it's my last Monday! I am so ready to go. It's finally hitting me that I leave in TWO DAYS!

WOOT for being done packing and WOOT for bringing more bags than me...well at least more suitcases! I'm going to make it with just 1 suitcase and one duffle!! Since tomorrow night is my packing night I will post some of my notes and pictures then!!!!

I still think it's funny that you are bringing a hamper. :rotfl2:

My big one takes great pictures, I'm just sick of lugging it. I think I might invest in a little bit better point & shoot before my next Disney trip that is still light weight and easy to carry.

I'm with you on large cameras. I love the size of mine. It may not do a great job indoors or in low light but it's good enough everywhere else!

Very excited to follow you on FB during the trip!

:rotfl: So maybe not more stuff....just more suitcases?

:goodvibes
Exactly. I always say I'm going to try to get photos on the rides and stuff and I never do. Without my flash of course. I just want to be able to take quick photos and not lug anything heavy around.

Woohoo for two more sleeps! So glad you almost tripped over your knee brace so you'd remember to pack it! I am allll about comfort when it comes to airplanes! I don't blame you for not wanting to pay extra for luggage. Thank goodness I get two free bags on Southwest. :rotfl2:

Woo hoo for packing!! :cool1:

Tracy
I think I am going to go with the work pants. They are very comfy. They are getting really ratty anyways so maybe I can just retire them completely after this trip. :rotfl2:

My guess is that Jen will be wearing her cuddleduds. :rolleyes1

Packing means you can start counting the hours instead of days until you leave! :thumbsup2

What is it about 72 hours before you leave?

As of right this moment it is.....

2 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, 44 seconds

or

54 hours (rounded down)

until I leave work at 3PM on Wednesday. That is when vacation
begins!

I chuckled and was worried at your comment about tripping over the knee brace. I thought - jeez, she trips over it and then she's going to really need it!! YIKES!
Glad that you weren't injured! Go for the comfy work pants. I'm so happy for you that your jeans are too big!!
Yeah, it's a good thing I didn't trip too much. I thought about that afterwards.

It sounds like you have a good packing plan!:cool1::thumbsup2:cheer2: for pants that are too big! We ended up doing laundry half way through our trip in June and it was great! I think my pictures will be just fine too. Plus we'll have Jen's camera if we want to get all fancy pants on taking pictures. :rotfl:

I somehow missed your packing update -- we must have been typing on top of each other earlier. :upsidedow

Yes, comfort is key on the plane. I think I'll also be trying to get an aisle seat this time around too because the window seats seem so much more crunched for space.
