can disney gift cards be purchased at disney stores at the malls?

it would make a great gift for a friend going to disney. they could then use them to pay for park tickets or help pay for ddp.

Im not sure about the store at the mall ours got taken out almost 10 years ago. I do know that you can buy them at Target or CVS I've bought several from both and have worked great in the past.

We got our at Giant Eagle, grocery store... We purchased 1500.00.... 2= 500.00 and 5=100.00

We get the fuel perks as money off gallons of gas... Used cards to pay for room and food... They had increments of 25.00 and up!

Yes, they always have giftcards at the Disney stores I frequent. These is also a website you can buy ones with all sorts if different pictures on them. Check it out! Disneygiftcard.com

They even sell them at Lowes (YES, the hardware store) $25 & $50. I just stumbled upon them Sunday. I asked the CS desk associate and she told me they ALWAYS have them. Just look for the gift card display. They had AMC and Regal cinemas, and Southwest airlines too. Who Knew?

Many grocery, drug stores and mass merchants sell Disney cards in their gift card "mall" display.

I order mine on line at a discount from this site: http://www.cardcash.com/

They don't always have them and they are usually odd amounts but I get them and use them towards my meals at WDW and they are already discounted!

There are a TON of them on the Disney site. They even have styles from year's past. That's where we've always gotten ours. Love them!

I purchase mine at Target. I work for Target, so I receive 10% off, then another 5% with my REDcard and an additional 5% with my Pharmacy Rewards!! Doing so allows me to go all out with planning :thumbsup2
Because the disney website is not always functioning, I had to call in to pay with my giftcards. They only come from Target in $50 denominations, so imagine how many I had for a week long, CL stay :rotfl2: anyways, the CM told me there's a way to combine them all onto one, but she didn't know how. Does anyone know if this is true? I would like to purchase more gc's for spending money, but not if we need to carry around a wad of $50 cards.
Thanks!!

I get mine at Target as well. We save our coin, roll it, then split it three ways (between our children). Once we had $150 I got them each a gift card there-now they can use it to pick their own souvenirs.

I know our local private school participates in the Scripts Program (a percentage of the sale of a gift card goes to the school). They can order Disney cards in higher denominations. The school keeps 2% of the sale. Do you have something like that in one of your local schools?

I agree that it's a great way to stay in budget, especially for the kids. We went last Christmas, and both my kids have fall birthdays. We asked the grandparents to give them giftcards to use towards their own souvenirs and special purchases. That way I didn't feel like I was shelling out money left and right. They bought what they wanted and I didn't feel like I was saying "no" quite so often! :)

Our Disney store has a whole assortment of cards. A nice thing about them is that they are reloadable. I have a couple from last year (with a zero balance) and started adding on to them for this years' trip. I am not tempted to spend it like a Visa or Amex gift card since I know this is strickly for Disney.

Our CVS, Lowes, Target also carry them.
