I noticed, today that Target is now selling a variety of non-retail gift cards --among them were Disney Gift Cards.

You'll find them in the music/movies section, near the CDs.

When you purchase the gift cards, are you paying the $10 activation fee?
Thanks.

There's no activation fee on Disney Gift Cards, no matter where you buy them.

Does anyone know if you get 5% off gift cards when using the Target Red Card? I'm assuming the answer is no, but the terms only say not valid on a Target gift card.

This is great - thanks for the heads up! We are headed to Disney next week so I can pick these up for the kids to have their own spending money :)

Can you use a target gift card to buy them? I hear some places don't let you buy a gift card with a gift card (not walgreens though, because I rack up those mypoints for a walgreens gift card, and then turn it around to a Disney gift card!)

I'm also interested in this. I recently received a $50 Target gift card and would love to use it to purchase a Disney gift card instead. Will be at the World in four weeks to celebrate my nephew's 5th birthday and would love to convert his to Disney $$.

can't say 100% for sure on a Disney gift card but you do get the 5% off on itunes & microsoft point card & playstation point cards

I was not able to find the Disney gift cards at my local targets but there was an American Express card. I was able to use the Target gift card I had to purchase it. :yay: I paid $5 for a $50 gift card (a $25 gift card is available for $4). I felt this was a good trade because the Target gift card was a reward for doing online surveys.

I won't be able to get to Target for a couple of days. If anyone finds out if they can get 5% off the Disney gc's could they please post? Thanks!

Just wanted to share what I do for Disney gift cards....

my DH travels a ton and racks up tons of Choice hotel points. This year I decided to cash in the points for gift cards, but Disney cards were not an option, nor were Walgreens card(I wanted to use to purchase a Disney card).

I tought about getting a Target or Walmart card to purchase a prepaid AMEX or VISA card but didn't want to spend the $5 to get one of those. I decided to save myself the $5 fee for each prepaid card and instead I cash in the Choice points for $50 gas gift cards. Whenever I fill my car and spend the $50gas gift card, I go and buy a $50 Disney card with the $50 I didn't have to spend out of my budget for gas.

I have about $800 in gift cards now for Disney and between these gift cards and our Disney Visa rewards card, I will have just about enough to pay for 5 nights at the Beach CLub in May :thumbsup2

That's what I'm doing with my MyPoints. CVS is the only drugstore in town so we shop there regularly. When I have enough points, I cash out for CVS cards and then use the card for my CVS spending and buy a Disney gift card from our school's Scrip program with the cash I saved. No fees and no worrying about whether I can pay for a gift card with a gift card, just a dollar-for-dollar trade into the vacation savings.

Haven't seen Disney gift cards at our Target, either.

Funny some have them and some don't? :confused3 One of our stores has them near where they have trading cards (?) near where the registers are. I'm not sure if different areas of the same store have different cards?
