Disney gift card with two parties.....

We will be sharing a villa with my sister and her family and trying to figure out the best way to pay for meals. We both will be paying by multiple Disney gift cards (we each have several $50 value cards) and we each have a Disney visa rewards gift card. Not sure what is the easiest approach.....

Ask the server at each ts to split the meal and we each hand a card or charge it to the villa and we both go down every morning and square up with the front desk.

Any thoughts on two parties with gift cards?

I would go with having the waiter issue separate checks per family and then each pay separately using their own GCs. It may require carrying the GCs around, but it would save you the extra step of having to constantly check with the front desk to even out the bills. This is what I do when traveling with others, it is a lot less stressful.

thank you! I wasnt sure if they would split the check or not, disney rules are sometimes different then "real world" rules. So thank you,I think this would be better.

When my cousin and her family went with us in Dec 2008, we would let the waiter/waitress know as soon as they came to the table that we would be splitting the bill. We were on the dining plan for some of our meals. When we were ready for the bill, they would just find out who was on which check and bring out 2 receipts.

Just a reminder, if there are 6 or more they will automatically add 18% gratuity.

As long as you are not planning to use a DVC dining discount (unless both parties have the DVC membership card) or a TIW card to discount the food you can have the checks split. If using a discount then the checks are not split.
