for every $50 in Disney gift card purchase, I get $6.00 free gas

(Every $50 in Disney Gift Cards bought I get 20 cents off a gallon. msx 30 gallon fill up limit each visit to the gas station... = $1136 free gas)

I called. Paying online limits the amount of gift cards you csn use but calling by phone to pay does not limit any number of gift cards used!

We did this with southwest flights too, $144 free gas was earned.

Plus we charge the gift cards on Southwest card and we get 9,000 points, good for a $75 DISNEY gift card courtesy of Southwest. .

To get around the gift card limit on-line you could also create a Disney Vacation Account and load the gift cards there. I just did that for a March trip. Very quick and easy.

What kind of car do you have that takes 30 gallons? My Sonata is only 18 and typically I fillup around 15 or 16. So I usually figure about a $3 discount for each $50 when it's double fuel perks.

Yep, I opened one so I could use my gift cards to buy Memory Maker, and I'll be buying an annual pass with it later this year. It was very easy to open and use, and will be great for consolidating my discount gift cards. I don't plan to put more in the account than I'll use, so it isn't tying up any money. Seems ok so far!

Yeah, I see a lot of people filling gas cans to max our their 30 gallons, but we only have one car and it's a compact with a 12-gallon tank (and when we used to have a second car, it was a subcompact with an 11-gallon tank, haha). I'm glad it works for people with large/multiple vehicles, but it's not as big of a savings for me. It's decent with gift cards that I can't get discounts on otherwise, like Amazon.

My DH has an SUV that will hold 20 gallons, plus he takes 2 - 5 gallon cans along which he transfers into our other car. It's hard to pass up free gas! And I buy enough GC there to have a free tank every month. I try to stagger my gift card buying because the points expire in something like 3 months. Now that they have Target GC, it's a better deal for me than the 5% off with their card.

We have a car and a GMC Denali. We use gas cans to be able to take advantage of the 30 gallons. My husband has a bass boat too! We travel to our lake home In NY, Lake Chautauqa (180 miles each way) very frequently in the summer, so we can use all the free gas we can get!!!
