Disney Gift Card Deals

What are the current Sams club deals since Discover is now at 5% for warehouse clubs. Also, is the deal the same online and in the store? (I don't have a Sams card yet so I am trying to figure out if this is a good option)

Not sure but I believe the discount at BJs is better... $95.99 for $100 card. You can purchase a 1 year online only BJs membership for just $10. That’s what I did. Planning to use my Discover for the 5% cash back bonus.

Aside from my in store price for the BJ's 3pk ($150) going back to 144.99 to match the online price, this post with the pricing is still accurate for me: BJ's vs Sam's DGC pricing, Jul 2018

Unless you’re going to regularly use the Sam’s membership throughout the year, I think the small difference in savings wouldn’t be made up to cover the higher membership cost as opposed to just $10 for a bjs online annual membership.

Groupon often offers a deal where you pay $35 for the membership, get $25 in gift cards and another $15-$20 in food vouchers (pizza, rotisserie chicken, cookies etc.). Match that with a cash back portal like Ebates and they're paying you to buy it. Not sure when the next deal will be but they run it often.

Yep, it's all going to depend on your individual situation. I try to just post out the facts as I know them so everyone can math it out for their goals. There's many factors that can go into the decision like getting a discounted or free membership, getting discounted or free gift cards to Sam's/Walmart, convenience, being able to use other parts of the membership, volume of purchases, etc etc etc. Straight up discount % gives Sam's a very slight edge, but when you factor in other considerations, Bj's may still be a winner. There's no one size fits all for this one, fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it. :)

If you shop at Bjs, get their cc. Every 2000 points you get a $20 gift card. They code inhouse purchases at 5%. (1% elsewhere) So it can add up. I use the $20 off to buy Disney giftcards then use my Disney card to get another 1% back. ( You don't get credit for giftcards on Bjs cc)

Even accounting for the Dosh and RMN deals? I’ve been considering getting another Sam’s membership. I don’t have the 5% cc deal, but with Dosh...seems like you’d make up the difference pretty quick if you had a lot of gc’s to buy.

I went to Sam's club this weekend and used my Cousin's membership. I bought $650 worth of Disney gift cards and paid $629. I immediately received $20 credit in Dosh. I also referred my cousin's husband while I was there so got another $5 :flower1: I'm not sure how that stacks up to the other discount cards.

Are there any forums on here for Universal Gift Cards? I don't see them in stores at all so wasn't sure if there even are deals. We're just going for one day, and the cost is giving me heart burn. Any little bit I can save would help! Thank you!

Also.. I know it's after the fact but... I was able to get the RMN deals at CVS (no gift cards, so just regular shopping), Home Depot just gift card no/filler, Walgreens gift card no filler, Valvoline instant oil, Kohls (purchased 6 pairs of clearance shorts for trip!), and Big Lots (no gift cards, purchased an umbrella and USB charging port for our trip). Used either a Visa or Mastercard for all, received a notification before I left the counter for all of them. Thank you to everyone for posting on these!

This morning the RMN cash back from HD from 9/27 went approved. Hoping the other ones go approved soon as well. But no rush as new offers stink.

I only saw them at Kroger. It was a really big Kroger in a very small town.

The only good Kroger deal is the fuel points. Someone on here can break it down better. I think you get up to $35 in gas savings. Many people buy Visa gift cards then go to BestBuy and buy Disney gift cards doing the Swagbucks offer. Which is only $35 after the Visa fees.

So the max or close to the max for $1000
$35 in gas savings
$35.50 From Swagbucks
$10.60-$53 depending on how good your credit card rewards are for groceries.

I also need to buy 2 one-day USO tickets. I haven’t seen universal gc’s at my Kroger, but seems like I’ve seen them at others. I haven’t heard of them being at Best Buy though. @Teal03 which Kroger have you seen them at? Or at least what general area? If I can find them at Kroger during a 4x fuel points offer, I can get 14% back in fuel plus another 6% back using my Amex BCP.

I’m in Ohio (assuming you are too @MelOhioDis) and the one I *think* I saw them at was in Marysville, just northwest of Columbus. I only get over that way occasionally, but I’ll have a look next time I do.

I didn't because I ended up returning my item, but I would have otherwise. I've contacted them before about an online Kohl's order that was initially rejected because the purchase amount Kohl's reported was wrong. RMN credited me as soon as I sent them the order confirmation showing the right total.
How did you contact them? When I 'chatted' I felt like I got the run around.

Thank you for reposting this and keeping track of it. I want to make the most of my Discover 5%!

Two trips to UO in 2016/2017 and I never found a Universal GC anywhere besides Universal. I searched.

I'm having Paypal issues (*surprise*)

Not exactly a gift card deal but I know lots familiar with PayPal issues here.

I can not add a bank account to my Paypal account. I had an old bank account on there that I deleted. I've been trying to add by usual bank account and I get caught in a verification loop. Any tricks to avoid this?

Also any other way I can payout from Paypal. I saw I could pay at target*com with paypal. So I thought I would buy a Disney GC there. But when go to checkout it only lets me use my credit card that is attached to Paypal and not my credit that is sitting there. Any tricks to get this to work?

I am :) However there are no Kroger's by me. :( I'm about 30 minutes south of Cleveland.

I remember searching for those a couple trips and never came across anything :(

I excitedly checked my RMN app before I even got out of bed this morning - what a disappointment! Probably won’t do any of them, but I’ll kerp checking back to see if something worthwhile pops up.

Trying to think through this myself. We have a trip at the end of October. So I need to figure out how much we still need for spending money. As of right now, I believe the best deal would be a Sam's Chase Freedom or Discoverit (I think is the one with 5% categories) with Dosh purchase. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
