Not sure where you are, Tinkerbellcrafter, but you might want to try in store first because I am in Phoenix and it worked for me in store. I used the self checkout we just had installed.

I used my gift cards from raise, loaded them onto the app on my cell, and bought 3 $100 Disney gift cards through self check-out. I had no problems, but as everyone else is saying, the red card discount isn't applicable (but it's better than eating a debt for cards you don't really want)

At one point I bought a Disney card from Best Buy's eBay store. Are those gone now? I can't find them.

I want to use four Target gift cards to buy one to be delivered by email and it keeps giving me an error. Can we no longer do that either?

I just tried and I did not get an error message.
It's been 8 minutes, and my order has not been cancelled. Hope it stays that way.

How much were you trying to put on the eBay card in one transaction? People have reported that their WGCs would not apply when they tried $500 on one or multiple cards in one transaction; anything less seems to work.



Agreed that there have been reports of "bad" cards. I redeemed $600 in WGC at several stores on Wednesday and Thursday in N. California with no problems. @Eighty8Keys, we'd all appreciate it if you report back!

trying to put $100 on ebay card using $100 walgreen red. and even if there was something wrong with the card wouldnt the manager be able to input it manually? tried at cornelius location and at one of the hillsboro locations.

Successfully used three $100 Walgreens GC to purchase one $300 eBay card in Oregon.

can i ask where? i did call in and verify that the funds are on the card.

I just used all of mine to buy physical ones on the Target website. I am sure I will send that money eventually.

I looked at the $100 Visa and the $100 MasterCard at Kroger today. Each had a $5.95 fee. Steep!

But 4X fuel points is 14% off when used to their max. So on a $100, save $14, spend $5.95 so you make 8.05 and then you can use that on anything. Not a bad way to start a churn. Am I wrong?

Sure, I was at the store at the corner of Cornell Road and Murray Blvd (13470 NW Cornell Road). Last weekend I was successful at the Hillsboro store at 7010 NE Cornell (Cornell & Cornelius Pass Rd). I've also regularly purchased at the Bethany Blvd store. I hope you get things resolved. After hearing reports of people having trouble with bad cards, I always hold my breath when I swipe each card. (It's nice to have someone from my neck of the woods on the boards.)

really sounds like you are on my side of town. i thought about trying the cornell/cornelius pass (was on my way to bestbuy ). but after getting shot down at 2, i thought they must have done something to the system. so weird that the manager couldn't get it to go manually tho.

I easily spend 300$ at target monthly - is there no way you can shop there instead of reselling it for a loss?

A number of people have had success in store using their target gift cards since the change took place the other day. There's no reason to give up and not try to use them in store first. Even if the first store doesn't work I'd try another. Previous posters were time by corporate that they do allow in store purchase of gift cards with target gift cards. Some stores just take it on themselves to not allow, but I think it seems that most do allow. You won't get the extra five percent but you will still get the discount you bought the gc's at which is better than nothing and mch better than a loss or no discount. You already got a discount, I'd try my best to keep that and make the effort to purchase in store and not just give up. Good luck!

Also my experience - I was stuck with $1000 in gc's from Gamestop with nothing to buy there but eBay gc's to churn, right when they totally stopped allowing that. Ugh! I was gonna sell and take the loss But, with the help of awesome posters here, I didn't give up and with a little effort I ended up not losing anything and actually ended up with an extra $13. I was lucky, but also so glad I didn't just give up and accept I'd take a hit before trying to get it worked out!

We honestly don't shop there that much, anymore since we got a Sam's Club membership. I told my husband that we are going to have to shift our household essential stuff to Target if I can't sell without a huge loss. ;-( I got the cards for 6.6% off face value. It will take awhile to spend all of it.

OMG..I just got screwed..I spoke to Target Guest relations...I am sitting on target gift cards for which I paid $689.19. They won't process Disney gift cards with a target gift card online, anymore. I am not sure what to do other than sell back some of the Target gift cards at a loss and move on..I asked if there was anything that corporate would do for me and there was nothing...they didn't notify anyone, especially their red card holders, etc. I think it is terrible. I don't know what to do...I purchased the cards and the orders went through and then 10 minutes later I rcvd the emails that my orders were cancelled.

Same here, but only for about $80. Placed two orders each for a $50 Disney gc to be mailed to me and both were cancelled within minutes.
