Lori, I have been using m+ to get points, trying to do swagbucks, and now when I shop, I try to buy things I need at Target, and do the deals that get the free gift cards. All of these methods are slower, and may not add up to $1000, but if you combine them with whatever is working in your neighborhood, you might get there. Honestly, that's where I am. I can't do Sears/Kmart, but Walgreens is working near me.
I have been following a site called Living Rich with Coupons, and they post ways to combine savings from coupons, apps and instore loss leaders. For instance, if you get $30 worth of school supplies from Target, they will give you a $5 gift card. Those free gift cards add up, and I am going to use several this weekend to get a $50 gift card. I would have preferred to use them online and get that same card for only $47.50, but since I have been getting these cards for essentially moving my food shopping to a different store, this is essentially free to me.
