Disney Gift Card Deals

No problem!

Best Buy and Gamestop always run sales and promotions for trade ins some more often than not, and new titles always come out. Video Game churning is a very very long game, so you'll have to hold on to your funds for a while if you do choose so and wait for that right moment for the planets to align which is why I don't hold too much. Before I stumbled onto this thread, I actually just paid $ out of pocket for used games at GS. Then I traded those games for profit at BB, then bought Disney. The values usually drop the next day, so I'm surprised the values are still holding. It sucks the churning has been cut in a lot of outlets... I've cashed out 90% to Disney and only plan to keep a very small % for video game churning.

I guess I'm going to have to give my GF just the gift card with a picture attached to it or the gift voucher as we do not have the AP cards to purchase here in our Vegas Disney Stores. When I walked into the Disney Store and asked for it, the cast member was like "I wish my boyfriend would buy ME an AP!" haha.

@JKalai thanks so much for your posts! I'm on vacation right now out of the country get back on Sunday 7, hope I can make it on time to take advantage of GS trades. Before I left I was able to get $125 back of the GS gift cards I had, but I have about $375 left which seems easy to flip from what you posted. Like I said I just hope I can make it back on time. My trip is coming up in September, everything is paid for this was part of our spending money.

I got this email on two of my TCB accounts and the third got a $5 back to email. I use one of them almost every day. That one got the $10. I'll probably use them all and net a nice little $25!
do they award the $10 on a gc purchase? that would be sweet, using the freedom 5% plus get another $10 back

I didn't get the TCB offer but did realize I had $20 payable. It's so odd to me when you get a payout that they ask if you want to tip them.

You're welcome :)

Best Buy changes their sales and ads on Sundays, so there's a good chance it's going to be over. There will be other chances eventually and I'll post them up when/if I have the chance.

Had to share...

I started a new spreadsheet specifically dedicated for the gift card purchases that will be used towards our April 2017 trip to HHI. I started with about $300 in eBucks which were earned from the churning I did for our October 2016 trip. I am all cashed out for that trip so it's time to start saving for the next one. That means that the "nest egg" for 2017 is all "free" money:goodvibes.

As of today, I am sitting on gift cards and eBucks with a value of $532.41. That includes Best Buy, Target, eBay and eBucks. It does NOT include eBates earned or other non-redeemed reward values (SwagBucks, Perk, etc). My total out-of-pocket cost is...$74.21:banana::banana::banana:. Most of that is a result of a mix-up with my plasma debit card....the ATM I normally used was suddenly removed from the "free network" and so I got hit with $5.75 in fees! That left me with $44.25 on my card....and because you can only make withdrawals in $20 increments, I had to find a way to use up $24.25...so I put it on a Target card. The rest of the other expense was mostly shipping costs for the Walgreen's gift cards.

Unfortunately since this trip is to HHI, there is a limited amount that I can tie up in Disney cards. I have about $400 in expenses at the resort that I can charge to the room. Since we are driving down, I plan to use gift cards for gas and hotels. I'd love to make it a completely "free" trip, but we are renting a car and I haven't figured out a way to use gift cards towards a rental car:idea:.

For anyone that might know....how is this even legal? To say that we have gift cards that we've invested money in, but can't spend them?? I mean, okay, say we won't get eBucks on anything over the 2k/2 month limit or even say you can't buy more gift cards when you're at the limit. But to say you can't use them at all, seems to be questionable.
I don't believe it is legal. In my state, there is a $300 fine for not redeeming a valid gift card. I registered a complaint with my state's consumer affairs division.

eBay GCs are only sold in-store or require in-store pickup, but BB .com does offer shipping for $25 and $50 Disney GCs (max 5 cards per denomination per order).

You are both right. My order was cancelled. I might try again adding a small item but I couldn't figure out anything I needed that was cheap. Maybe some printer paper. I will probably try in store.

I am one of the ones whose BB store would not allow gc to gc, but I have actually ordered ebay cards on BB .com a few times about two months or so ago and had them shipped both times (received cards in 3 days also). I was never able to get an order to go through without adding something else to my order though. I've added things like printer ink and a mouse, which I needed to buy anyway. It was all very easy.

I just haven't been willing to try it out lately because I don't want to deal with PPDG. I've never experienced any of the issues people have posted here, but I don't like playing with fire and I'm not willing to risk my paypal account.

another weird paypal useage. purchased $200 bb with $150 ebgc & $100 ebgc. it took the $150 ebgc and then 11.xx off the $100 ebgc and bill paypal acct for 38.xx. did not argue with them, just went with it. so i added another $38 to my churn that i did not intend. did this last nite and have not received gc yet.

BJ's is offering $100 Disney giftcards for $94.99. Planning on buying 13 of them. Shipping is about $7. so it winds up being a 4.5% discount. $1,242 for $1,300... better than nothing!

I wanted to use it in conjunction with BJ's link with couponcabin to get $38 back, but it looks like you can't use the purchase for giftcards. Any other suggestions of a way to stretch the deal a little bit?

Should I jump on this 4.5% off deal or hold off for something better?
You can get 5% just walking into Target with a RED card. I don't see any point working a deal for less than that.

I don't understand the crazy way that eBay/PayPal apply the gift cards either...it makes no sense! Is it a PayPal or an eBay thing? Although I haven't had a problem with it, I'd like to know who to contact about the process, if needed.

I thought the same thing but if that poster pays with rewards credit card they would be over 5%.

Plus, they may not have or want a Target Red Card.

But to @supersnoop 's point - yes, always crunch the numbers to make sure you're getting the best deal, especially when you're spending hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Is there anyway you could be bumping up against the 2k limit? I'm wondering if what was taken from the GC's got you up to 2k and the rest was then charged to your card. Since they applied the 60 day period retroactively, it's been very confusing. Just trying to figure out what in the world is goin on.

Just got home from the Kroger gas station and their fuel points system was down. I wasn't able to use my fuel points for gas and I was prepared to buy the full 35 gallons today for a $35 savings. I don't know if this was just at my station or if it was system wide. Anyone have a similar experience? This would really throw a kink into my money savings plan if this became an unreliable way to save on gift cards.

We only buy our gas at Kroger and have never had this happen. I agree, that would really stink.

i think it is paypal but not going to upset the system for $40.

nope. only at about $1000.

So angry right now:furious::furious::furious:...

I just happened to be checking up on my PayPal balance for our trip since that is the account that will be used for our non-gift card expenses. Much to my horror, there is $100 missing:scared1:. I looked back at the transactions and realized that the PPDG purchase that I made TWO days ago actually took the money out of my PP account instead of off of the gift card that I entered:sad:. Then, to make matters worse, I realized that I threw the gift card in the trash once my PPDG arrived! So now, I feel like I am out $200....$100 in the cash that I had no intention of spending, and another $100 in the gift card that never got applied and is now in the trash. I have NO idea how this happened since I definitely, 100% for sure entered that gift card in as my payment method. It's such crap that PayPal used my balance instead of the gift card. The balance showed that I owed "$0.00" but of course, I have no screenshot to prove it. Ugh! This sucks...I guess it's time to start digging through the trash (it gets picked up tomorrow) and see if I can get lucky and find my $100 eBay card:scared:.
