You're welcome
Best Buy changes their sales and ads on Sundays, so there's a good chance it's going to be over. There will be other chances eventually and I'll post them up when/if I have the chance.
Yeah...I try to keep the balance low, but when I use the debit card, I get a 1% rebate. So, when I need to make a trip-related purchase, I use the PayPal debit card so I can get a little more back. I haven't been adding to it lately because I wanted to keep the balance "low". It takes a LONG time (like at least a week!) for the money to get from my regular bank account into the PayPal account so I don't want it to be completely empty in case I need to jump on a deal that is vacation-related. Fortunately, I still have 2 months to make up that extra $100 in "cash" that I lost. I can make up to $70/week donating plasma so it shouldn't take me too long. It's just a bit of an unexpected hit...I was so relieved to have all of the funds lined up and ready and now this...That's why I don't leave any $ in my PayPal acct.
Do you know about how much you earn with mplus places? I do shopkick, but it's such a slow earner these days.
So angry right now...
I just happened to be checking up on my PayPal balance for our trip since that is the account that will be used for our non-gift card expenses. Much to my horror, there is $100 missing. I looked back at the transactions and realized that the PPDG purchase that I made TWO days ago actually took the money out of my PP account instead of off of the gift card that I entered
. Then, to make matters worse, I realized that I threw the gift card in the trash once my PPDG arrived! So now, I feel like I am out $200....$100 in the cash that I had no intention of spending, and another $100 in the gift card that never got applied and is now in the trash. I have NO idea how this happened since I definitely, 100% for sure entered that gift card in as my payment method. It's such crap that PayPal used my balance instead of the gift card. The balance showed that I owed "$0.00" but of course, I have no screenshot to prove it. Ugh! This sucks...I guess it's time to start digging through the trash (it gets picked up tomorrow) and see if I can get lucky and find my $100 eBay card
.
They have no screen that tells you they're about to draw from your acct instead of gift cards.
have had the acct for years.Have you had that ebay account for longer than 90 days?
As you enter each gift card in eBay, directly above the box where you enter them, it lists each gift card and how much is being taken from which card. Are you saying that the screen showed that the gift card would be debited; however, your papal account was debited instead?
Yesterday I bought $200 of BB from PPDG, knowing that I only had $196 left before hitting my $2K limit. It was clear on the screen that not all of my gift card would be used and that I would have to pay $4 from another source.
I've never kept a cash balance in my paypal account, thank goodness!
Confused.
No but their system is so wonky it wouldn't surprise me. I ended up with an extra $50 due to a glitch on their part. I tried to call and explain what happened but they didn't seem to care. So, we leave for our cruise on Saturday. I requested my DVA bonus well in advance (I actually kept changing my days so I could get them sooner and use at Disneyland when we go weekly) and I received all bonuses owed last week.
Fast forward to today and I received an email stating that my bonus of $220 was in the mailI mean, that would be a very welcomed mistake but has this happened to anyone? Has anyone received an email and wasn't supposed to? Did you get an extra gift card?
GREAT news!I found the gift card...it was actually near the top of the dumpster in a bag so I didn't even have to dig very far. Phew! That's a little bit of a load off. Plus, when I input the $100 cash outlay into my 2017 spreadsheet, I'm still working with 75% savings so I'm still in really good shape. This is just a small glitch in the grand scheme of things
.
When I made my order, the screen showed numbers completely different than what they ended up. My big mistake was, I tried to order from both SVM and PPDG in the same cart. I paid for my SVM with a gift card. I planned to pay for ppdg with my PayPal account. The SVM order went through fine, the ppdg did not. I backed out of that transaction when I hit the verification nonsense. And in the end it turns out I did not get $200 in digital BB cards like I ordered, but PayPal still charged me $88.63. They depleted my $50 balance and charged my credit card for the rest. I emailed them and got the standard reply about no gift cards with gift cards. Well, I wasn't trying to pay them with gift cards, but since it was in the same transaction with the SVM order...I'm not sure what I can do about that without incurring the PayPal wrath and getting kicked off my PayPal account.
So long story short, no, what was shown on the screen when I ordered didn't match what actually happened.

Enjoy your cruise!!!! I'm planning for 2018 already![]()
So they took your money and gave you no product? They can't do that. GC to GC has no bearing on the case. They don't get to drain your GC, charge your CC, and give you nothing in return. If they want to tell you no, fine, but refund what they took from you. PayPal is a bunch of crooks (and many more things I can't say on here!)When I made my order, the screen showed numbers completely different than what they ended up. Thank you! Yes and no(if it helps, lol). So which date is my start date to count back from? So they went back 60 days from 7/28 or from 7/15? Okay, if you don't mind, though it's a bit awkward, here's my dates and spent. When can I spend any again with this info: Jun 8 $800, 22 $900, 28 $900, 29 $1000, Jul 15 $1000, (got lucky, easy flips all BB, so flipped quick between Jun 28/29), and 20 $1000(GS). They still let me spend $1000 on July 20th, and there's more than $2000 in the previous days. Seems like I won't be spending at all in Aug or even Sep, but not sure I'm figuring right. Again, your help is much appreciated, Thank you!So Here's how I understand the 60 day rule. On 7/15 eBay updated the terms to include the 2k/60 day rule. However, it apparently wasn't really being enforced. It appears that around 7/28, they began enforcing this rule, retroactively going back 60 days. So this is how you could be well over the 2k limit if you go back 60 days.
To figure out when you can spend again, you will just have to go back in your 60 day spending to where when that date drops off you would be under 1k.
So if you spent 3k on 6/15, 1k on 7/1 and 500 on 8/2, you could spend another 500 on approximately 8/14 and then another 1k on 8/29 (if I'm calculating my 60 days right). Does that make sense?
Hope that helps.
Your GF will love it even with a voucher, it's a great present for a Disney lover! She has a great and thoughtful boyfriend! No problem!
Best Buy and Gamestop always run sales and promotions for trade ins some more often than not, and new titles always come out. Video Game churning is a very very long game, so you'll have to hold on to your funds for a while if you do choose so and wait for that right moment for the planets to align which is why I don't hold too much. Before I stumbled onto this thread, I actually just paid $ out of pocket for used games at GS. Then I traded those games for profit at BB, then bought Disney. The values usually drop the next day, so I'm surprised the values are still holding. It sucks the churning has been cut in a lot of outlets... I've cashed out 90% to Disney and only plan to keep a very small % for video game churning.
I guess I'm going to have to give my GF just the gift card with a picture attached to it or the gift voucher as we do not have the AP cards to purchase here in our Vegas Disney Stores. When I walked into the Disney Store and asked for it, the cast member was like "I wish my boyfriend would buy ME an AP!" haha.
Thanks! I'll give it a try.I've earned $75 from mPlus Places in a year. My husband has earned about $25 in six months. I'd say I'm moderately diligent in using this but could have earned more if I tried harder.
I like mPlaces because you can check in several places while sitting in a parking lot, or even at a stop light.
You get extra points per check in if you tweet it and you get extra points 24 hours after you check in when you open prize boxes.
Finally, when you are bored you can play games that earn Mplaces points (Office Jerk, word search, etc...)
