Disney Gift Card Deals

Can you explain the $1000 limit on PPDG? Is it per calendar month or rolling 30 day period?

I don't believe that limit is enforced anymore, I just checked, I have done $3600 in May so far. Is anyone having limit issues with PPDG?

After seeing what others have gone through, I don't think my problem is actually a limit, it must have just been a coincidence that I had spent exactly $1000 in May and could not get even a $100 order to process.

I am just going to wait a bit and see what other gift cards come up that I can buy, and try to avoid PPDG if at all possible. I recently bought a $500 Home Depot gift card in order to take advantage of the 5x offer, so I have about $400 left in eBay funds and a while before our trip so I have time to wait and see what other avenues I can try out.

I just cashed out some of my bestbuy cards for disney online. I added a movie for my husbands birthday. I just got the text that the order is ready and I got ebates on the full amount.

That's good to know that it worked the same for you.

I thought Eighty8Keys had done so, and I reread her post, and she said she plans to. Hoping she chimes in to say whether she has done it before.

I never seen Disney gc at a GS.

so the store manager rang me up today at gamestop. she had me wait while she called the district manager. she came back and said "you have been buying an unusual amount of gift cards lately. my district manager told me to do it this time but that we will be changing store policy to avoid this kind of abuse in the future." great now im gonna have to abuse one of the other three stores in my area.

If it is the distric manager it is probably over all the stores in your area.

Just saw loadable BB gift cards at Whole Foods...

They have Whole Foods gift cards on Amazon.com...

And have Amazon.com gift cards at GameStop...

I wonder if it's possible to do GS>Amazon>Best Buy>Disney, possibly?

Anybody ever do GC>GC transactions at Whole Foods before?

I guess I could try it again and then just return the extra item.
My last order of only Disney gift cards was cancelled.

Did the manager just recognize you? How much was considered "unusual"? And we're you using ecards?

Watching to see if anyone responds. I did see that Amazon carries Sears, Kmart and the Landrys restaurant cards.

I had my extra item shipped to me because it wasn't available for store pick up at the Best Buy near my house. If I wanted to I could have selected a different store for each item on my order. If I did that then possibly I could just not pick up the add on item by the due date, in which case Best Buy would cancel the item and refund to my payment method. I don't know that I would do this on a regular basis but if I can't find something else I need and just want to cash out my Best Buy cards I may try it once.

According to the WF gift card terms, "card is not redeemable online or for other gift cards."
I read that policy as you cannot buy items online with gift cards, only in store. I might head back and try this later on today if I get the chance with a small denomination gift card.

GS > Amazon > WF > BB -> Disney GC?

The process relies on 4 separate transactions with no net gain. It might be a possible end game strategy IF the process is possible but I can think of plenty of other ways to get out of churning without taking so many steps and driving to 3 separate stores to accomplish.

At this point, I'm willing to make the extra stops to avoid talking to a Paypal CS rep. You'll only have to do it when you decide to cash out, so it won't be that often.

This as an endgame if it works, would be sufficient for me.

Huh. I read it as 1) not redeemable online and 2) not redeemable for other gift cards.

You might have been on a different page than I was on. I'm going to try and go in store today to test my luck. I need to get some other stuff anyways.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure I found the different page that you were on and it does state that you cannot purchase GC with GC

With all of the drama, I figured that with my most recent purchase of $500 in BB cards from PPDG, I would go to BB today and buy $500 worth of Disney cards and be done with it all...

...but no....I''m weak:(...I bought a $400 Disney gift card and put $100 on an eBay gift card so I can keep churning. I figure that the $400 capped off my goal of $1500 for our trip so anything else will go towards 2017 at HHI. I left myself $100 in case of any bonus offers that come up between now and the end of June. At that point, I think I will cash in the $100 for Disney (since it is still technically included in the purchases I have made for this year's trip) and then take whatever eBucks I may have earned by then (currently sitting at $200) and just churn with those. They are "free" so if everything goes kaput, I won't feel like I've lost anything.

I'm wondering...for the PP who had her PayPal account closed, did you have any cash in it? I use the PayPal debit card and my account has over $200 in it. If they decided to "close" my account, I would certainly hope that I would at least have access to my cash. I use my PayPal account exclusively for our vacation funds. All of my eBates and other rewards payouts are all deposited into that account. I would be up a creek if they decided to close it because they didn't like what I was buying via eBay.

After dipping my toe in for a measly $125 BB through PPDG (gun shy with all the issues), I can happily report that I received my digital from PPDG with no verification.

Just left my local BB with a $50 Disney and $75 eBay GC. No questions, and the nice lady at the register instructed me how to lay them on the counter, in which order (after I asked her how she preferred to scan them). She requested to scan the largest denomination first. No problem. Feeling great that I got another endgame confirmed for me, for now. As of now, I can exit to Disney GC at Sam's Club and my local BB. Target is on the list, if I ever put them into my rotation. I should be getting $300 Sears from the SVM promotion today. That's the one I'm worried about, as it seems to be very much YMMV. If that works, I'm happy that I can churn a quick 15-20% off before our end of the summer trip. Then, I will look to build it a bit more.

No thankfully no cash in it. I always transfer rewards money, etc out to my real savings. They stated you will get your money is 180 days! I read nightmares of people trying to get back 2-3K from them. I would personally keep your balance at zero if you are planning to keep buying gc's with gc's.
