Disney Gift Card Deals

I went through a really rough patch of cancelations recently and that made me nervous and frustrated every time. I agree with @PerfessorZ, if an order gets canceled I can pretty much expect all my orders that day will be canceled and I need to take a break (really hard on those bonus days!). Fortunately, with the lull in bonuses, I've been able to take it slow and haven't had any problems or cancelations when ordering my most recent $1000 of eBay cards. Even the fickle $200 cards didn't give me any problems.

Most merchants will not allow multiple transactions if one is canceled for any reason. For instance my husband just tried to buy something from a store. He paid part with a gift card and another part debit. Our bank thought it was unusual so the fraud protection kicked in and they prevented the charge. He cleared it with the bank and they removed the hold. He tried to call and process it over the phone and was told there was a hold on his payment forms including the gift card for 24 hours in the stores card processing system and that it wouldn't try to authorize those cards during that time.

My advice, wait 24 hours if you have an order cancel.

A little OT, but I had the weirdest experience with a cancelled order from Target...

I placed an order for store pickup for laundry detergent and fabric softener when they had the "Buy 2, Get a $5 Target Gift Card" promo. I selected store pickup from a store that is nearby, but not the one I regularly shop at because for some reason, my Target doesn't carry Era. Anyways, I went to the store the day after I ordered and picked up the items. I am 100% sure I did this because I made a special trip. I waited for the $5 eCard to arrive in my e-mail but it didn't show up. I waited another day...then another...THEN, I got an email that said my order would be cancelled if I didn't pick it up within 2 days. Huh? Sure enough, I waited two more days, never received the gift card...but I also was never charged for the laundry supplies. So even though I lost out on thet $5 gift card, I ended up with $20 worth of laundry detergent for nothing.

I described my experience to the associate at my regular Target and asked her what I should do. She told me that there is really nothing I can do...it was clearly their error and she has no idea how it happened. I wanted to make it right, but there was literally nothing they could do for me at that point.

So far, that is the only order from Target that I have ever had cancelled...but I still received it!

Has anyone experienced a delay in shipping from ebay for Target cards lately? I ordered 3 $150 cards very early Friday morning and got the confirmation and receipt for payment by 6 AM. They are not showing as shipped yet. Is this normal? All my other orders , even during the extra bucks promos shipped within a day.

I never got shipping confirmation but got the cards 6 days later.

My order from Friday is still not showing as shipped either. I normally don't order on Fridays but I'm thinking they must not ship over the weekends. I will be concerned if I don't hear from them in the next day or two.

Thanks, I already have that set up, but this order is for $600 and those amounts seem to be coming via USPS. My other orders of $900 come via UPS.

@kristenrice - My guess is when you picked up the items, the Target associate either forgot to do whatever they need to do to let the system know you picked up your order or it just didn't register. Did you get an e-receipt after you picked the items up?

I had something similar happen to me. There was no bonus $5 gift card involved, but an item I ordered online & picked up in store never got entered as completed on their end. I received the same notification to come pick up the item (after I already had). The transaction ended getting credited back to my gift card. I did a follow up survey as to my experience and tried to explain what happened, but never heard anything.

No, no e-receipt because, from their perspective, I never picked up the item. My card was never charged and I received a notification that my order had been cancelled.

Right, I will not submit a ticket either since I know their policy but I will probably change to a different cash back site for eBay purchases. I am only getting the lesser amount on eBay purchases...at this point...
For some reason I can't get ebates to pick up my target purchases only my eBay purchases. Target visa is really speeding up the process because im saving 5 percent each time! Is anyone else not getting ebates credit on target gc purchases!?

I had a similar thing happen. I placed an order on 4/2/16 and it never showed as being shipped. I contacted them over the weekend and on Sunday, they responded with the tracking number for the old order. The reason was that when I contacted the seller, it automatically showed the old order and not the new one. Once I responded with the correct date that the order was placed, they responded with a tracking number. Turns out it shipped on 4/4/16 and was supposed to arrive on Saturday, but actually arrived today (4/11/16). It also still shows as not being shipped.

Do your Target orders contain only gift cards? Or do they also include an item that qualifies for cash back? Ebates generally excludes cash back for gift cards, but you can trick it to credit you for your entire purchase -- including the value of the gift cards -- if you add a qualifying item in with the order.

Here is the list of exclusions: Cash Back is not available on grocery, household commodities and essentials, baby care items (diapers, wipes, food, and toiletries), pet supplies, video games and consoles, music, books, contract mobile phones, prepaid and gift cards, Target Pharmacy and OTC, Target Photo, Target Optical, Target Café, SweetJOJO, and orders deemed by Target to be for resell.

We typically include a small, inexpensive item with our order, such as office and school supplies or beauty and personal care supplies. Check the category the add-on item is listed under to be sure it's not one of the exclusions, and even then it may still be cross-listed under an excluded category. YMMV.

Thank you very much I'll give this a shot! Does anyone have a link to the cheapest eligible item on target?

Hi! I am a very long time lurker on the Dis. I never post because I generally am a shy, keep to my self person. However, this time, I wanted to post to let everyone know of a situation that I am going through and hope it doesn't happen to someone else. I have been churning for a while, very small amounts like $100 a week. I have never received ebay bucks even though I have been with ebay since 1999. To churn through ebay I simply wait for coupons or use the normal 2x.

Almost two weeks ago, ebay had a flash coupon of $15 off $75 for just a few hours. I had purchased an ebay GC from Target earlier in the week so I was using that as my payment along with the coupon, for a $100 Target GC through GCM. When I entered the ebay GC number, I verified it was for $100 and hit the button to process the transaction. I got an error message instead saying they couldn't process the transaction. I tried again but this time i saw my ebay GC only had $12.01 remaining. I thought the first transaction must have gone through. An hour later, I never received any confirmation that the transaction was processed so I checked my ebay and there was nothing there. I also checked Paypal and there was no transaction there either. I looked up my gift card balance on ebay and found it was only $12.01. So ebay took the money but never processed the order. I immediately called ebay who transferred me around and they told me I had to call Paypal. I called Paypal and spoke with a product specialist who saw that I didn't have any transaction that day nor was the gift card in the system as being tied to my account. Paypal even asked why I was calling them, that it was an ebay issue. The man was very nice and called ebay to find out what the problem was. He told me that ebay said they put a hold on funds and when it doesn't process it goes back to the gift card. I should have my money within the hour. By this time, I missed out on using the $15 off coupon because I was on the phone for hours. The next day, the gift card balance was unchanged. I called Paypal again who told me it was an ebay issue since it didn't appear tied to my account. They were nice enough to file a service request to look into the issue for me though. I then called ebay who told me I had to wait 36-72 hours. Each phone call lasted over an hour with multiple transfers to different departments and service members and I had to go through the whole thing each time. I waited 4 days and still did not have the money returned so I again called ebay. After 2 hours on the phone and multiple transfers, I was told it was reported on my account and would be another 36-72 hours to fix! I asked for a supervisor and waited on hold for 75 minutes. Then the original person came back on the line and told me the supervisor was on a call and would call me back within the hour. That call never came. I called ebay again the next day and asked for a supervisor. I was disconnected three different times! At this point I was very aggravated so I waited until today to call again. I have been on the phone for 2 1/2 hours so far and still waiting. I have been transferred to multiple supervisors and now I am speaking with "upper management". I am being told that there is an ongoing issue with ebay gift cards. Most notably egift cards. They tell me this same situation has been happening for 2-3 weeks and ebay doesn't know how to fix it. She tells me they want to "try to refund everyone's money but they don't know if they can!!" Needless to say I find this unacceptable and told her so but she says there is nothing they can do, it's a known problem. She has looked thoroughly into my account and called Paypal and had them look into my account and they can see the card was never used and I didn't have any transactions that day or any day around it. But, they cannot refund the money. I told her I verified the amount on the egift card I purchased and saw it on the screen when I tried to use it. Yet ebay stands by the claim that there is nothing they can do and she recommends not using egift cards! I have no idea what to do at this point. She is telling me that there will be no refund issued. She refused to transfer me to anyone else because "there is noone else to speak with". Frustrated can't even describe how I feel. Thankfully it was only a small amount.

I just wanted to warn anyone using egift cards. Mine was a small dollar amount but I know there are people who are using much larger amounts and I hope this does not happen to anyone else!

Janet, I would put all of this into a letter to the COO or CEO of ebay. After your explanation, tell them exactly what you want them to do ( for example: refund your money, grant you a coupon, etc.) . This is obviously an IT problem AND a customer service problem. If you don't get a satisfactory answer, I'd forward your letter to a consumer affairs reporter at a major TV network.

And thank you for letting us know about this!

I try to print out invoices of all my online purchases so I have something to prove my purchase prior to receiving an email. I think I might do printouts before confirming orders now!

Office and school supplies are usually eligible. Like @asgaga recommended, buying something you need is the best way to go in case the order doesn't credit.

Yes, I have been able to buy Disney gift cards in store with a BB gift card. I only did a small amount though, $100. The cashier at the time hesitated a bit but I just played it off like it was no big deal and asked her to try for me because there wasn't anything else in BB that I could use my GC on right then. It went through just fine. I have read that others have had problems so I may have just been lucky. Oh, and I was at BB this past weekend and they did not have eBay cards, but they still carried Disney. Good luck!
Thanks. I'm going to give it a try.

Some of the least expensive items that count for ebates credit are in the school & office supply category (pencils, index cards, folders, notebooks, markers, glue, rubber bands, etc). Also, hand soap, clearance socks, undies, mittens, party supplies, placemats...
