quick question on the hotel.com CG , am I correct in assuming once you have the card you are booking thru Hotel.com? may have to see if this is a better deal than booking a military rate right from the hotel.

Yes, that is correct!

Hotels.com is owned by Expedia, so if you guys aren't 100% sure on your date or expect to change anything on your reservation, beware.

$100 Disney gift cards are still out of stock online:mad:. How long has it been since they've been in stock? It seems like it has been quite a while.

I don't plan on buying my Disney cards until September (trip is not until mid-October) so I am not sweating it yet. I am fairly certain that even if I went to the store with my $1000 of Target gift cards that I acquired via churning, I would still come out ahead. Yes, I'd be leaving $50 on the table by not buying them online, but that is a LOT of orders to try and get them all in $50 increments.

What would you all do? If you had $1000 in Target gift cards that you wanted to convert to Disney gift cards, and no $100 were available online, how would you plan your attack? If there is a (4) card limit for the $50, I would have to place (5) separate orders, and I would assume that there should be at least 24 hours between each one. That means I would need to start the ordering about 3 weeks before we leave to make sure they arrive on time.

They been out for over a week now. I just order $1200 in gc in a two week period. The first order they had the $100 gc so that one was for $500.

Then I had to do 4 different orders. 3 of $200 and one $100. I been putting the order every other day with exception to one.

so let me see if I have this correct you booked an offsite hotel thru Small world and then paid it off with Disney gift cards thru your DVA account?

Correct, DVA via gift cards is actually how I've been booking and paying for all my Disney vacations. I booked my recent cruise through Small World and also paid it off using DVA. I'll be using my DVA to pay for an extra ticket for our DLR trip in May as well. Due to my relatively short stays at WDW (on-property), I booked directly through the Disney site and paid for it through DVA.

It's a bit of extra work to call the right number and make sure the payment is charged to the DVA since TAs can't provide your account number, but given the amount of money I fork over to Disney each year, I think it's worth it.

how long did they take to arrive?

how long did they take to arrive?
My last order I placed on the 6th and it is getting deliver today. But that of course varies depending where you are and where they are shipping from. My delivery window was until 4/13.

There was a time when Target didn't carry $100 Disney cards. We all got $50 cards and and we walk uphill both ways in the snow to get them. And we liked it!

Not to mention there was a time when you couldn't combine those cards on disneygiftcard .com and you had to get on the phone with a TA or Disney and read off each number!

I have purchased Disney Gift Cards through Target on multiple occasions, but not in the last year or so. I came to this thread to get current information on deals, but I'm a little overwhelmed. Is there one post that gives an overview? What is GCM? How does Gamestop and Ebay come into play here? Or, do I just need to read this whole 700 page thread?

Any help would be appreciated!

Starts around the 500 range & read forward!

Sorry. There's no shortcut. You really do need to read, Read, READ! And then ask specific questions if you're confused about specific ideas. I suggest going to page 530 and reading forward from there (500 is a bit too far back). Everyone does this a bit differently, so you kind of have to sift through the information and then make it work for yourself. Don't be afraid, we don't bite! But we do expect people to read some of the thread because things change and problems develop that we all work to solve.

To answer one of your questions: GCM = Gift Card Mall. They're an authorized gift card seller and they have an eBay store that sells Target GCs.

I'm doing some housekeeping on my gift cards - particularly eBay since they randomly take amounts off of different gift cards instead of depleting each one. So, I went to the page to check gift card balances and some of my older cards (like February) get a message of "Oops! We can't find a gift card with that number." I'm 99.9% sure these cards are depleted. BUT, when I check some more recent GC balances that were used, it just gives me a $0 balance, not the Oops! message. Any thoughts or previous experiences? Thanks!

Try this link - it should list all of your older eBay gift cards that you've used (fully or partially), but none of your more recent ones (I don't know of the exact date of the change). I just use Control+F to search the GC numbers on the list (as my list is disgustingly long).

I have an $200 eBay gift card that I used twice in March and have a balance of $76ish on. I can add it to an ebay order and the amount shows but when I sign in to pp it then shows the code is not valid. That link posted above shows the right amount and says status active. Any thoughts on what to do?

Could you be over your $5,000 limit? I know they lifted the limit but if you used the card during the period of the limit it won't be good to use until AFTER the 6 months is over. This happened to me.

At first I read this as you saying they had $200 cards, lol, and I had a post ready to send but reading thru one last time I realized you must mean three orders of 4 $50 cards so each order is $200. I was liking the idea of $200 cards, lol.

I need to get about $2000 in Disney gc's by first week of May for our DL trip starting May 7th. Hope those $100 cards come back soon , I'd like to get the 5% to top off the churning!

You could at least do half of it online to not loose the 5% completely.
