@davper Thanks for that info (your wife getting the 4x promotion without having earned eBucks before).

Here's a new theory- maybe it has to do with the age of the account, and whether or not you earned eBucks before? I've had my eBay account for well over a decade, just signed up for eBucks about 3 weeks ago, and have yet to receive a #X promotion. Maybe on an old account you have to earn and spend eBucks before getting the promotions? And on a new account signed up for eBucks, you start getting the promotions more quickly? Just another theory, it may just be random. I am considering opening another eBay account if I don't start getting the promotions in the next few weeks (ie after I can spend my eBucks)

I go with random, lol. I have had an eBay account for several years but only recently signed up to earn ebucks and get promotions (this was a few weeks ago). Since then I have not earned any ebucks but I did get the email for the 4x promo yesterday (but did NOT receive the 5x one last week).

I placed an order for 2 x $200 eBay GCs from Target at 11:00am (3.5 hours ago here) and am still waiting for it to either show up or be cancelled. I feel like the cancellations usually happen more quickly so hopefully it will show up some time today. I might miss this 4X promo but at least if these show up I will have all my eBay cards already to jump on the next one!

I'll try again with a "small" $100 card in about a week.

I had a string of orders get cancelled back around Christmas. All contained ebay gift cards. I quit for about a two week period. Since then, all my orders go through, including $200 ebay cards. I didn't try those again until recently (probably took about 2 mos off from ordering those). I would suggest not ordering anymore for at least a week. The system is flagging something in your orders. Better to let it rest for now. And just fyi, I did keep all the ebates earned from those cancelled orders.

I figure I will "earn" some eBucks with the money instead of letting it sit in the bank.

Ugh, order cancelled! I am going to try one more time to order one $200 card. If that gets cancelled, I'm quitting for a week. The order I placed yesterday for one $200 card went through, so I'm going to give that a try again.

This is a great idea. We are new DVC owners so we haven't gone through the dues paying process yet. I may have to start a separate churn for those maintenance fees. Even if I start small and keep at it for the next 9 months!

So when I wasn't getting the offers I opened another eBay account. That account which I've never used has the 4x offer. Will eBay get suspicious if I use the second account? And are there any drawbacks besides having eBay bucks on two different accounts?

Just use one for ebay bucks. Turn ebay bucks off on the other account. You can have multiple accounts but not to bypass their limits.

There are some discounted Sears gift cards on eBay right now. I remember someone saying that they purchase eBay gift cards from Sears or Kmart, I believe. I can get $500 in Sears for just $425 + $34 in eBay bucks, so an amazing deal. Can I use the Sears cards at my local Kmart to buy eBay cards? These seem to be email delivery. Will that work still?

I'm somewhat ambivalent on 4x offers nowadays, since the PayPal limit really comes down quickly and I've been debating doing just 5x promos to make the most out of that limit anyway. But the eBay Bucks quarter is coming to an end, and here I was looking to squeeze in a few extra free bucks to spend next month....

I did quite a few 3x and 4x at the beginning of my churning not realizing how that whole 5k limit worked. I have been locked out of ebay bucks (other than paying OOP) for over a month now. So, I will only jump on 5x offers once my PP opens back up.

So I'm preparing myself for when we can redeem our Ebay bucks next month. I am just overly organized with my spreadsheets and all that and I want to make sure I understand it correctly.

A few questions..

We can use Ebay bucks towards a purchase & then if we need to, we can pay the remainder out of pocket/with gift cards, right?
Can we earn Ebates while doing this?
We earn Ebay bucks while doing this, right?! Even bonus Ebay bucks if they're offered!? (Does this happen?)

Does the redemption of Ebay bucks count against the Paypal limit, or would it only be any additional funds you use to pay for the transaction?

I just did a search back and found that post. So these will not be physical cards, so I wonder if they won't allow me to use them to purchase gift cards. Is there a way to buy a physical Kmart gift card with the digital Sears gift card? Not sure if this is possible on the Kmart website, like buying Target gcs with Target gcs. Anyone know?

For anyone who cares. I reached my ebay limit so I signed my MIL up, she is paying for most of our trip and was great at letting me do it to save money. I made a small ebay purchase and she got the welcome bonus and I got the referral bonus through ebates last week, fast forward she got the 4x promo! I purchased some Target gift cards and went to check out yesterday, got an error logging into PayPal from eBay. I called and had to answer several questions to prove the purchase was not fraud. Said it needs a few hours to update, here to hoping it happens before midnight and I get that bonus!
