Disney Gift Card Deals

Yes, you can pay the remainder with cash/credit/gift cards.

Yes, you can earn eBates through these transactions.

No, you don't earn eBay bucks when you spend eBay bucks.

The eBay bucks do not count against the limit, only the additional funds that you pay via gift cards would count towards the limit.

My experience in January is that you do earn eBay bucks when you spend eBay bucks. I plan to hold off redeeming my eBay bucks in hopes that a bonus eBay bucks offer comes through sometime during the month of April.

There are some discounted Sears gift cards on eBay right now. I remember someone saying that they purchase eBay gift cards from Sears or Kmart, I believe. I can get $500 in Sears for just $425 + $34 in eBay bucks, so an amazing deal. Can I use the Sears cards at my local Kmart to buy eBay cards? These seem to be email delivery. Will that work still?

Keep in mind that some Sears/K-Marts will not allow you to buy any gift cards with a Sears/K-Mart gift card. Over a year ago, I had $300 in Sears gift cards purchased at 20% off from Office Depot. Tried to buy Disney Gift Cards at two Sears and one K-Mart and was shut down each time. As soon as the cashiers saw I was paying with gift cards they called over the store manager. They all admitted that the register would allow it, but it was store policy not to. This was in the Portland, OR area. Fortunately, I knew we needed a new garage door opener so I just used the cards to pay for that. I rarely shop at Sears/K-Mart so I wouldn't have risked buying the cards in the first place if I hadn't had a backup plan in place. Other people have had success doing this, although I don't know if they used e-gift cards.

When does the $5,000 gift card limits reset for Ebay? Is it January and July or is each account different?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm getting close to my limit but I don't know when I should calculate from. Thanks :).

It's a rolling six months! So it would be specific to your account.

It's rolling. So, if your first purchase made with a GC was Jan.1, then that purchase drops off from your total 180 days later on July 1.

Wondering if you had the same experience as the above poster did said:
No, I didn't purchase anything prior to the 4x promo. I did do the check/uncheck thing to opt in to receive promos, but other than that, nothing.

My eBay GC finally showed up from Target - took about 6 hrs. At least it wasn't cancelled.
I wonder how long before it's activated. :faint:

For anyone who cares. I reached my ebay limit so I signed my MIL up, she is paying for most of our trip and was great at letting me do it to save money. I made a small ebay purchase and she got the welcome bonus and I got the referral bonus through ebates last week, fast forward she got the 4x promo! I purchased some Target gift cards and went to check out yesterday, got an error logging into PayPal from eBay. I called and had to answer several questions to prove the purchase was not fraud. Said it needs a few hours to update, here to hoping it happens before midnight and I get that bonus!

I have been told this by PP too and my account has never been fixed...just fyi...hope you do not encounter the same problem.

DisMeri posted about this yesterday. She said you need a manager override for the digital cards but not the physical gift cards.

When I used digital gift cards, the manager had to over ride every single card. Might not be a huge deal for a single card, but I had a bunch of 25s at the time. They were able to swipe all the physical cards. I asked at a couple of stores, and they said no, but when I just went to buy them (even at stores that said no), they worked fine. My Kmarts (one in my town, one by Indy) only have 25s for ebay, 1 had 50s for Disney. I stick to $200 or less per day, just to be safe.

Thanks. Do you have any idea how I'd find out when my 6 months started? Would it be from the first time a used an Ebay gift card?

Like @Marionnette said, it would be from the first time you used a gift card. You can view the activity in your Paypal account. Click on the transaction and the details pop up with the gift cards you used.

I keep a spreadsheet with a row for each transaction. Then I do 4 columns: the date, total gift cards used on that transaction, total gift cards used so far, and the date + 180 days. So far so good, but I know I'll be super worried when I get close to the limit.

..a little :offtopic:

So bummed....I went to Rite Aid to use the Plenti offer that someone posted earlier and I bought (2) $50 eBay cards. DD12 also needed a sling for her recently-separated shoulder and they had one that had a 500 Plenti points bonus on it! My receipt shows that I received 2100 Plenti points, or the equivalent of $21! I was planning to use the eBay cards to buy an Ipad via an auction that ends tomorrow. The starting bid was $99 and there are no bids on it so I was feeling lucky. I went to check it today to verify what time the auction ends tomorrow (since I have to work) and I see that the SELLER changed the price to $125:headache:. Ugh! I was already a little bummed about missing out on the 4x bonus bucks, but now the price has increased by 25% too...and I've already bought the eBay cards! I know the seller didn't do anything wrong, but I have been watching this item for 4 days and to suddenly up the price by 25% less than 24 hours before it ends just seems greedy....especially since there are NO bids and NO watchers (except me).

...rant over...

...and I'm probably still going to buy the iPad tomorrow:rolleyes:...

I just ordered my first batch of target cards from GCM . It says estimates delivery is 3/28. Do they take that long to ship out ?

Usually no, I have found that the shipping estimate is close to 2 weeks but for me it usually takes one.

I'm a bit confused on how to "churn" gift cards through eBay. I have $300 worth of target GC that I'm planning on using to buy eBay GC in order to take advantage of the 8x offer they have. Do I buy target GC through eBay or do I buy more eBay gift cards? Sorry I have been reading through the postings to figure it out, but I haven't been able to.

Holy monkeys. I just put in a Target order for about $600 in Ebay gift cards. Within about an hour I had my ECard delivery and they were already "turned on". I didn't have to wait at all. Churned thru Target and Ebay in a little over an hour! :yay:

ETA: My second batch of Ebay cards isn't breaking any speed records, for what its worth. :bored:

 Hi from Castle Rock (about 45 minutes north of PDX if you aren't familiar). We don't have an K-Marts where I am at. There is one about 30 minutes north heading towards Seattle but I am too big of a chicken to try it. I also have never tried Gamestop either when those deals come up.

So you have Target gift cards right now. You'll need to buy Ebay cards, then on Ebay (make sure you have your bonus 8x activated) you'll buy Target gift cards. Repeat as many times as you would like!!
