The 5k limit is a Paypal limit on 5k worth of gift cards being used as PAYMENT. You can buy as much as you want but once you have used 5k worth of gift cards to PAY, you will need to pay with another method. So, not a limit on buying but on how you pay. Does that make sense?

It is a rolling 6 months so yours begins when you first start using gift cards to pay through your paypal account.

The $5,000 is the limit on ebay gift cards you can use in any rolling 180-day window. So start today and count back 180 days. Add up all the ebay gift cards you've used. Subtract from $5,000. That's what you can still use in gift cards at this given moment.

There is a way. Is it easy? eh.

I don't have the technique at my fingertips, but it's been posted in this thread a few times. I found instead of doing the method every time I wanted to know how much I spent, it was easier to do track what spend in a spreadsheet so I know exactly what I've spent and when I spent it.

It varies - there is not set schedule. But over the past 5 months, I'd say at least once, sometimes twice a month.

Thanks for the heads up! I bought $100 best buy ecard for $80, since I know my best buy has eBay cards there I can convert. I went out of pocket too instead of using eBay gift cards. Would rather save them for when there are extra ebucks to earn.

I am not a true churner but still can't pass up a good deal!!

I have a couple hundred $$ in Disney gift cards for our trips this year for food that I have been getting with visa (2%) and then my redcard discount. I got the 150$ card - the 17$ saved here plus the 7.50 from the redcard means another round of Mickey Bars for everyone! (Or maybe just an extra drink or two at Trader Sams for the grown ups!)

Login, click on "Wallet" at the top, and then go to "classic site" (at the bottom of the page). Click on the 2nd item on the left side, "my Money." In the middle of page "gifts and discounts", it will tell you how much you have left on cards loaded to your account click on "get redemption code" and it will list them (with all your zero balance ones as well).

I haven't been able to use an ebay gift card since Feb 16, so it is showing me ones that have been in there since at least Feb 16, but I can't tell you about any time since then. Sorry! I think I can start spending GC again tomorrow or the next day, so my apologies in advanced for any lack of good ebay bucks deals in the future....

I have 2 Paypal accounts - 1 personal, 1 business. Both are linked to baking accounts. It's been a long time since I opened them, so I don't remember exactly the type of account I used to open each, but they've been linked to a combination of savings, individual checking, joint checking, and business checking, in addition to credit cards. If you run into a problem not being able to verify your account with a credit card, realize there are other options available to you.

Thanks, I did go ahead and open a business account (subject to banking confirmation still). I also unlinked my PayPal information from eBay so I have to manually sign in.

Yep, she's always on her game. It frustrates me to be out of sync or a step behind all of the time. I need to get a spreadsheet going and cut and paste the great posts about the fine details so I have a place to refer back to rather than trying to remember who posted what, when. Per below I don't think it will matter if they restock.

I was checking my ebay gcs on Paypal and I also noticed that 1 of my gcs wasn't showing up.
We better be careful. Another change I noticed is when purchasing $15 item today. I first used $2 gc then $5 gc. When I entered gc #3, it took off gc #1 and gc #2 and only used gc #3. I just ended up paying w/ gc 1 & 2 and the rest w/ cc. If I was in a rush I might have not noticed and just thought gc 2 & 3 was used up. Now there is no way of checking.

When I look at my purchase detail on PP, it says I paid with vouchers, not eBay gift cards. And, these "vouchers" are identified with letters instead of eBay gift card #s.

I have never received an ebay bonus bucks offer. I know I am signed up as I receive the 2% on most things I buy. In the past, I have sold quite a bit and did my share of buying as well. Is there a "trick" to start getting offers? Getting very frustrated as I have been waiting since November and have had zero bonus offers. Any help or tips would greatly be appreciated!

Sorry so late to respond. For future reference, you can just search "ebay gift cards" and that brings them up for me. The $100's sold out but other denominations were available and worked for the coupon. The seller will be 'paypal digital gifts'. Here is the link to the one I bought:
