Disney Gift Card Deals

Sorry, posted that wrong. If eBay is not offering a deal on Target cards do you guys do target-eBay-target-disney for the ebay points only? On a $50 card how much would that be?

You go through ebay when they have the deal like 100 for 95, they had southwest gc's 100 for 90 and when they have a ebuck promo and you get 3x,4x or 5x ebay bucks. I cycled twice through ebay between extra ebucks and the 100 for 95 on Target cards and bought one of the southwest gift cards and have $56.80 in ebucks.

I am going to hold onto my Target card that are coming in the mail again from GCM until there's another ebay deal or extra ebucks.

I have started out with $300 in Target gift cards I bought from Cardpool for $262.00 out of pocket. After using my cc for % back and topcashback.

No more than 3 of any 1 denomination.
Do not place orders that look like duplicate orders: so mix it up $200x3 + $100 x1; next order $200 x3 + $50 x1: and so on. Mine all go through as long as I stick to this pattern.
no duplicate looking orders at target? does this cause issues?

Does anyone have experience with cancelling an order that you'd received Ebates for? I booked a hotel stay and earned $5 ebates, but we decided to cancel and rebook for a different date, also receiving ebates. I'm not looking to get double the ebates or anything, I was just wondering if/when the ebates previously credited come out of your account?

Sometimes they are reversed but most of the time they aren't. But that's for clothes. My hotels always pay out way after I've traveled.

I had one that credited and we canceled and booked a few weeks later, they took the money back within a few days.

FYI to all - I just ordered a GC on GC rescue and then I found one on their site that I preferred. I asked them to refund the first so I could buy the second. They said that they would charge a 20% restocking fee!! Even though I had never even seen the code and certainly had not used it. This is a heads up for anyone considering buying on their site. I wouldn't. I told them I would keep and use the card but that this was not good customer service.

I'd have been more surprised if they had. Do other gc sites do this?

Me too. I know Raise doesn't allow returns due to buyer's remorse and i would expect most other sites do the same. I'd never heard of Gift Card Rescue before so I checked them out and their return policy is very clearly spelled out. My measure of good customer service is how they respond in the event of a problem. I don't have any experience with other sites, but Raise has always been excellent in that regard.

Well I had not had this experience before and it seems harsh considering I canceled the order within 10 minutes. I didn't have the code yet when I canceled.

And I agree about Raise. I have purchased many cards from them for Disney and others and always had excellent service.

Not trying to pile on, but every place that sells GCs says all sales are final. Too much risk of theft...

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this, but I've found a great source for Disney gift cards - Amtrak Guest Rewards. I travel on Amtrak frequently for work between New York, Philly and DC. I realized that 10,000 Amtrak points will get me a $100 Disney gift card! So I then looked into point transfers and realized that 10,000 Hilton Honors points = 1,500 Amtrak points. I have quite a few HHonors points from my travels as well. I also do e-rewards surveys, which tend to add up fairly quickly - $75 in e-rewards = 4,500 HHonors points.

I just called HHonors to request the transfer of points to Amtrak - it takes 10 business days, but then I'll have enough points for 2 more $100 Disney gift cards! :) That will bring my total of Disney gift cards to $670, woohoo! I also use Points.com to get $50 Disney gift cards from my Citi AAdvantage credit card, and I claim the occasional $10 Disney gift card through the Disney Movie Rewards.

Amtrak also offers transfer from other hotel brands, as well as Audience Rewards and Hertz. Happy transferring! :)

So, it takes ~66,666 HH pts to get $100 Disney card. I don't have a HHonors account - is this a good redemption value?

It is a rolling 180 period. So if you spent 1,000 on January 19th, then 180 days later that 1,000 will be available again (roughly July 22nd). Then if you spent 500 on January 25th that amount opens up again 180 days from that date and so on. So if you hit 5,000 in March you are out of the game until at least July or 180 days after your first purchase on your account.
Thank you, you kool_kat, I appreciate you taking time to explain how that works! Is there anywhere that you will be able to see what you have available to use it you just have to keep track and hope you are on track with how they have it? Thank you, again!

Ah, but dang, that's gonna be so hard sitting out waiting to be able to churn again, for months! Will definitely have to try get DD25's eBay account up and running hopefully she'll have the $5000 limit to be able to churn in those months I can't! What do others do while waiting to be able to churn thru eBay again?

I had canceled I think, 3 orders with Target, back in November and December, and then redid them. Got credited and paid for both of them, the cancelled order and the new orders. I figured they'd fall off eventually but they did not.

Probably not if you want to use the HH points for a hotel. One hotel night ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 typically, depending on the hotel rewards category. But I don't have any personal trips coming up where I need to stay in a Hilton hotel, so I'm trying to maximize my Disney gift cards, especially since I'm staying at a Disney resort.

The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Hotel near Disney Springs is less than $200 most nights, so points could be used for that as well. I just prefer to stay at a Disney resort.

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek = 50,000 points per night = $149 cash. Thats just one example. I would say not a great redemption value on Dis gift cards.

I didn't really do this the other day, had two orders the same, and two others the same. Didn't really think it mattered but curious if others really think it does or not.
