Disney Gift Card Deals

I tried to make a last minute order of $200 in gift cards, it showed I was getting $20 back in bucks, but after my order was completed, it shows I earned only $4 back in bucks. Is there anything I can do to fix that?
I didn't see a reply to you, so here's my experience.

Last night, after checking out, I noticed that my eBucks total was adjusted downward on the check out page. My heart was sinking, especially after the problems that I've had the last couple of days! I went to the "my ebay" page and clicked on the eBucks link. That page showed that I got credit for the 5X promo and my new total was correct. Check that page first and then contact eBay if it's not correct.

Best Buys Policy is to allow you to buy gift cards with a gift card (Except Visa/MC/AMEX). If you read through their support forums this comes up time and time again. They clearly respond to all of those issues with the same response that you an use BB gift cards to buy any non-openLoop gift card.

Ripped straight from the Community Forum.
It is discouraging to hear that you may be having trouble placing your order with us, as it is typically an effortless process. With that said, we are not always able to accept gift card-for-gift card transactions, which may be why you are experiencing the issues you have reported.
I would make the same recommendation as my fellow specialist did in the other post you linked, and encourage you to make your purchase at your local store instead of through our website.
Even though our Terms and Conditions do not list closed-loop gift cards as excluded from purchase with Best Buy Gift Cards, there are a number of other factors that can come into play with these types of orders. With that said, I would encourage you to visit your local store to see what options they may have for you.

Yes, BB policy states that you cannot purchase open loop gift cards but none of us are trying to purchase open loop gift cards. The website does not state what the policy is as far as GC > GC purchases go except for Best Buy gift cards, but I would assume the distribution center would categorize third party closed loop gift cards with Best Buy closed loop gift cards which is why every single order is getting cancelled. I have purchased gift cards online out of pocket before with zero problems.

Since the website isn't 100% clear on this policy, the cashiers in store and CS reps on the community forum are also probably unaware of this which makes it easier for everybody to just go in store.

I saw that but I didn't see gc specifically. It also doesn't list protection if you pay using an ebay gc but does mention paypal. Is this the same thing? Has anyone ever had problems purchasing from an individual on ebay and then have it drained? I know it happens on places like raise.com but I've not seen anything about anyone having problems on ebay.
I have had an issue with an individual seller, but my problem was that the seller never sent the card at all. I paid with eBay GCs and they were wonderful and refunded my paypal account for the full amount. I have read cases where the cards were drained when received and it seemed like eBay always sided with the purchaser.

Just bought a Sears (SVM), Bestbuy (PPDG), and a Gamestop (GCM) for $100 each. Used Ebay GCs and it all seem to go through without a Problem.

I have a Kmart near where I live but it would not accept the digital GC in the past. Going to try with the Physical Gc this time.

I have a Best Buy 5 minutes from my office. But they don't carry Ebay cards. So will have to travel about 20 minutes from home to the next one near me. They have them in stock.

There is a Gamestop 10 minutes from home that accepted a $50 card in the past. I want to try them again before I start buying a large quantity. If they don't, there is at least 6 in a 30 minute radious from me.

If none work, I know I can use them for other items. So risk is very minimal.

Disappointed that the Target churn appears to be dead. I hope it comes back.

There might be a silver lining to this. If the target churn does come back, maybe this past month of issues will scare people away from the process in the future.

For those who do Sears/Kmart, I get emails ever so often for 'Shop Your Way' points. Today I got one for a $5 off $5+ purchase at Kmart. I can't find any exclusions for gift cards. Anyone know if those points can be used on gift cards? Do you accrue SYW points on GC purchases? I don't have a Kmart convenient to me but my dh works somewhat close to one.

The $200 in Carnival cards I ordered through PPDG Tuesday has still not come through in my email, which is making me uneasy. When I ordered a hotels.com on May 11th I received the emailed receipt from paypal at 3:53 pm and the email from PPDG with the card number at 4:06 pm. I guess I'll have to message them to find out where my cards are.

EDITED - I went to contact seller on Ebay and selected the option "I didn't receive my item" and it says Your item may still be on its way and the estimated delivery is May 24th. I guess I must have missed that part when I placed the order. I'm so used to email delivery cards coming through so quickly. A week for an ecard seems pretty long to me, since I was able to get physical GCM cards in a week, but oh well. Guess I'll wait until next week and hopefully I get them.

I got my SW codes! I contacted PPDG late last night and codes just came through.

Mine came through as well. Thank goodness! Now I feel a lot better. I was getting worried because my plan if the Target side of things is dead was to just continue to use swagbucks to get Ebay cards to flip into Carnival. I would love to churn a few times before going directly to Carnival, but none of the other options (BB, Kmart, GS) seem appealing to me right now.

Has anyone tried to buy a gc online at bb with additional items besides gc?
Yes; I bought a $50 eBay GC and a Ninja blender, paid with a $50 BB GC from PPDG and the rest with a CC and it was just fine. I haven't tried a 100% GC purchase though with multiple items in it.

is target.com out of ebay gc? I cannot find them anymore and wondered if it was just me.

Great googly moogly, I went on ebay and was looking at the Target GC's for sale. People are listing them for $20-$45 over the value! Who is paying that!?! Someone has a $10 card listed for $40.

That's a nice profit margin! Anyone considering selling theirs? I was considering it as an option, but you can only have one for sale at a time AND I don't know how much eBay protects sellers...maybe shipped with a tracking number?

I ordered $300 in Disney GCs plus some printer ink that I needed anyway from Target about 2 hours ago and already got a shipping notice for the GCs. I got the 5% off my total order, paid with $300 in GCs and the balance of $10.85 on my RedCard.

I feel like I'm kind of losing the benefit of the 5% off by using my "vacation fund" GCs towards purchasing other items, but I've also had so many cancelled orders that I'm wary of doing a straight GC->GC purchase with the 5% off "loophole." I did go through eBates so we'll see if I get credit for the full order amount or just the printer ink.

I did the same today except I ordered a rain poncho that was on my list of things to purchase before the trip anyway. I did get the ebates for the entire purchase value. However, you have to be sure to read the ebates policy for Target carefully because there are items that it excludes like grocery, household essentials, and many more. So I did miss out on ebates on my first order because of that and have since learned my lesson. I think you should be good on printer ink qualifying.

from Ebates for Target:
Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on grocery, household commodities and essentials, baby care items (diapers, wipes, food, and toiletries), pet supplies, video games and consoles, music, books, contract mobile phones, prepaid and gift cards, Target Pharmacy and OTC, Target Photo, Target Optical, Target Café, SweetJOJO, and orders deemed by Target to be for resell.

eBay and PayPal both side with buyers the vast majority of the time. Personally I wouldn't risk selling GCs on there, and especially not any high dollar amounts. I will never understand why GCs for common stores like Target are listed (and sell!) for more than face value on eBay. It makes absolutely no sense and I always feel like there is some kind of scam going on there.

Ebay just changed their seller protection policy on cash equivalents such as Gift Cards. There is none now. Too risky for my taste.

I think sellers are selling for higher than face value during the big eBay bucks promotions. I read on a blog that you can stack cc rewards, with the 5X promotion, overpay for a gift card, and then sell the GC to a site like raise, and still come out ahead overall.

Sellers know this and will try to make a spread as well.

I am not selling mine but just was surprised at the high prices. For the most part, it seems the Disney cards on ebay sell for just a little over face value and that makes more sense to me. The Target are listed for way over and you rarely see one for close to the value so I am guessing that people are actually able to sell at these high prices. I'm too afraid of the risk as ebay does always side with the buyer.

About 30 minutes ago I placed an order containing one $50 Disney gift card and a $1.99 item I found in their clearance section. I paid with a $50 Best Buy GC and the $1.99 went on my credit card. I just now received an email saying the my order is ready for pick-up. Not sure if it's a coincidence since I successfully purchased a $25 Disney gift card on Friday paying 100% with gift cards. I'm still taking the remaining $200 I have in Best Buy GC into the store and giving that a try. I'd rather have the variable load gift cards than a bunch of $50 ones. Plus, there really isn't a lot I want to buy from Best Buy other than gift cards.
