There's a 10 digit number that prints at the top of the actual gift card, the part of the card with the account number on it not the top part with the bar code. Does anyone know if this is an activation number? I notice that it prints on the target receipt when I buy one in the store. Anyone know if this number prints on the receipt when you buy them on the target website?

No, it definately does not. That's the problem with ordering them online. You are literally at their mercy when you receive unactivated gift cards, because you have absolutely no identifying gift card numbers on your receipt. Believe me, the trouble this can cause you is no where near being worth a 5% discount(or any amount of discount).

I just wanted to tell ya'll that my cards from Sam's came yesterday. My son and I immediately checked every pack and they had all been activated. I feel so much better now! I won't be ordering them online anymore after this scare.

Every GC (not just Disney's) has a phone number on the back that you can call to get a balance. Some even have websites or (as is the case for Disney GCs) an app.

Disney GC used to be "entertainment cards" at Target (not gift cards) so you could use your 5% off day coupon towards them (I scored $1000 worth of cards last time for only $900!). Because you can stack that one day discount (you get it when you fill 5 prescriptions at the Target pharmacy) with the 5% everyday REDCard discount I would get 10% off for that one day and the Disney cards counted (since they weren't classified as gift cards...)
NOW they're classified as gift cards I guess? My 5% bonus day coupon wasn't applying! (but my everyday 5% red card discount did.....)

She's scared that the Disney gift cards she ordered online will not be activated when she receives them. It happens sometimes. When it happens to you, it is a huge deal.

I am about to order 10 packs of DGC from Sams Online. They do not have any in the stores. Has anyone else had any problems with them not being activated?

I have. And I'd suggest just buying one 3 pack per order. They are always free shipping. So in order to minimize the risk of them not being activated , I would buy one 3 pack per day for the next 10 days. It's easy for them to overlook activating a 3-pack when you buy that many at once.

Well I ordered 15 packs of 3. I need them to pay off my resort reservation by Sept 17th. I thought I had enough cards but only had about $2800 worth. I'll let you know what happens.

Does anyone know if there is a limit on #of GC's applied per transaction at Sam's Club in store? I know online there is a limit of 4, but is that true in the actual warehouse store as well?

Along with that, is there a way to combine Walmart GC's, do you know? Swagbucks has the $5 ones for 440 sb right now, but I don't want to be stuck with tons of teeny ones I can't use for Disney GC

Walmart will combine all of your Walmart gift cards to one I believe I read WAY back on this thread.

Woo! I was super nervous, but I checked all of mine, and they are activated. I really wanted to leave them in the packaging until it was trip time, though. Now I am nervous about losing one of these darn cards!

I ordered 15 packs from Sams club on Wednesday evening and received them Saturday morning. Paid $2144.70 for $2250. worth of cards. Purchased them with Disney visa. Saved $115.30 on Gc and received $21.44 in Disney dollars for a total savings $136.73. I checked all to make sure the cards have been activated and they are. Woo Hoo.
