Yes I have signed up for eBay Bucks on both accounts. When you say un-checking and saving, do you mean the check box to sign up for promotional emails, or do you mean un-enroll from eBay bucks and re-join? If I do that wont I lost all my bucks that haven't been paid yet?

I know it isn't simply a matter of missing a notification...whenever anyone else here says they have a promo, I log into both accounts, check messages, even go to do a mock purchase just to see the percentage...no changes.
yes the promo emails. I did think of checking and Unchecking the ebucks thing as well but didn't do that so don't know if you'd lose anything but I suppose you might so I wouldn't suggest that if you have some ebucks unless it's just a few.

When they were running a special at Christmas a lot of us found it wasn't very accurate.

That could also be due to Target's employees being too lazy to find more for you. When Target had that deal on Disney GCs in December, I found a store with, supposedly, 30-something $25s in stock, drove a bit out of my way to buy them, but couldn't find them on the rack. I asked an employee if they had more, he pulled out his bulky inventory checker that also showed they had 30-something in stock, so he casually looked around and said, "I don't see them here, they could be anywhere," and told me to check the smaller gift card racks near checkout. No surprise, they weren't there either.

No, i don't think that's the case. There were lots of people who found it to be useless during that time. People would check the inventory, buy a bunch, and the inventory wouldn't change, for example.

Ok so when I go to the BB website and look at the eBay gc in the bottom it tells me save 10% in rewards with BB credit card. Has anyone try this ? I don't have a BB but it might be worth applying for.

First of all -- last month I went back and was determined to understand all this. So I read from page 450-something on through to the end and have continued to follow along. You guys are a wealth of information. I learned the ins and outs of churning (and even Swagbucks... got $125 this month! Thanks for that!). I really appreciate your caution with others -- as demonstrated in the last few days there definitely is risk involved. I had decided at the time I wasn't completely comfortable with churning because if all our vacation money got tied up in GCs, we'd have to stay home. Watching all this unfold, FOR US, this was a good decision (since I would have been so new at this anyway!). So thank you for that! You guys are awesome.

That being said, let me see if I'm understanding recent developments well. No more GC's with GC's at Target. Period. Right? What about if you're purchasing a Disney GC with the RedCard... is the 5% gone there also? I have two Target GC's left from my Swagbucks adventures that I'm going to attempt to convert to Disney today, but I'm not clear on if we will be able to just get the general 5% RedCard discount when purchasing Disney GC's in the future.

TIA!

Gift cards with gift cards: yes. 5% off gift cards online: no. 5% off gift cards in store (currently): yes.

No, so far there hasn't been a stop in GC's for GC's at Target. They took away the ability to get a RedCard discount when buying them online though.

Thank you for going back and reading! And good job on your savings. You will not get the 5% off GC's online no matter how you pay. You will still get the 5% off GC's in the store if you use your Redcard.

I absolutely agree with you and others posting similar opinions. Occasional, Random off topic happens, but that's life, nothing that interfers with finding info here. I can always skip past if needed. I actually appreciate having info regarding various churning methods here. Some in more depth, some less that I can go find more info about such as reward programs like SB. It's so much more useful having these topics in one place instead of having to try to keep track of, for example, ten different threads. Yikes, that'd be much more time consuming trying to keep finding and reading all those threads. Much more likely to miss something important or new that way. Pretty easy to just skip posts that don't work for me, such as Kroger as we dont have that here. Finally gave GS a try after seeing it here several times, very glad I saw that but would have missed it if it was in a separate thread I had to know to go search for. Sometimes the chatter is what makes me realize something works well and is worth checking out, or helps me figure out the little details that definitely do matter but I was confused about. So, I really appreciate and am thankful to those who share and discuss, and the way ideas are bounced around for good benefit for the most part. Anything I don't need or I'm not interested in, I can very easily skip over, it's really not that hard!

And, I agree, rubs me the wrong way too, someone coming to things should change because they don't like the way the thread operates. I've seen a few other threads at times, they always disappear, but this consistently is here and helpful, in my opinion!
I've only been around for a couple of months. Read through several hundred pages, got confused and asked a couple of quetions, which you all answered so quickly and thoroughly.
I look forward to checking this thread daily, with the occasional tangent. Adds to the community feel of this thread.
Now I did make the stupid decision to not check for about 5 days and had over 20 pages to read through!

At least for right now, if not permanently, Target.com has stopped selling most/all "physical" gift cards. Electronic cards can still be purchased online with Target gift cards for the time being. No 5% redcard discount or "glitch" discount is working online anymore.

As far as brick and mortar Target locations, it's YMMV if you can purchase physical gift cards with Target gift cards. The registers have not been hard coded to disallow it yet, but some have reported that employees/store managers are not allowing it to occur, including at my location. The 5% redcard discount can be obtained if purchasing the physical gift card in store with your redcard. I would try a small amount at your local store to see how they are currently handling it, but with the caveat that it could change at any time.

Question. I thought I saw on here that you can use Walmart cards to pay for Disney cards through Sam's club, it was only a week or so ago, I believe. Has anyone had luck doing so?

Possibly. I found this, and several other people commented that managers thought it was always disallowed (which is just plain wrong), but my manager said it was a new policy... it is definitely doable in SOME Target stores. It's just not guaranteed, and local discretion seems to win out.

This will still work. Easy 5%.

On your GC spend, no you won't, but if using your Red Card, in store, it will still get you 5% off at the register.

I have done this many times without any problems but not since October (my last trip) . My next trip is in December so I'm still in the earning stage and won't cash out again for a while. Others have done it more recently, both in stores and online.

I would like to use self checkout at my Target to use Target GC to buy Disney GC. How do the purchased Disney GC get activated when bought through self checkout? Also, if I am using my smartphone to bring up Target GC, how to pay with this? I will get 10% off Target GC by ordering with H&R Block Refund Bonus, so its still worth it to me to buy them without the extra 5% Redcard discount. TIA!

The Disney GC gets activated automatically at the register when you purchase it.

As for using the gift card on your smart phone, during checkout it asks for your method of payment. Select gift card and use the scanner to scan the barcode on your phone.
