Does Target sell any other denomination than $50 gift cards? Sorry if this has been asked, I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks! That's what I thought...I have to pay off our trip and was gonna try to save $225 but I think they would be real upset in I called in $4500 in gift cards:upsidedow Has anyone ever called to pay off their trip with a lot of cards?

I paid off $3200 with $50 gift cards, the CM was really sweet about it. He said that people do it all the time!

You should be able to enter the gift cards online. As long as you booked directly, after you pay the deposit, you can enter the gift cards to make a payment on the website.

You can also set up a free disney vacation account (DVA) and add all your gift cards to the DVA online and use that to pay off your balance. When I signed up for DVA there was also a bonus offer where Disney sent you a gift card after you made a certain threshold of purchase on DVA (I think it was $500 or $1000 can't remember the specifics).

Looks right to me! Nice savings. Just remember topcashback won't give cash back on more than $1,000 in purchases. Happy saving! Jodie

I'm almost sure I did know this about the $1000 limit, but if that's the case, how do they keep people using their site? I would think after everyone purchased $1000, they would leave. Is it just $1000 per merchant or $1000 period?

And also, I read the terms and conditions but can't seem to find that stipulation anywhere on their site. Anyone have a link to that statement?

You get $20 for every $1,000 spent on Disney Vacations and if you get discounted gift cards from Target os Sams Club, you can save even more.

I have to thank you guys for this gift card tip!! I don't know how to do all the math and red dot cards and the fuel combination savings that you guys do, but after seeing this thread I went to my BJ's and bought a bunch of gift cards with the money I was about to put on my trip anyway and saved more than $50.00 I wish I would have known about this tip before because I could have been saving so much more money it's only a few dollars at a time but those dollars add up especially when you buy a large amount at a time and I was able to pay on my MDE account with no problem. So thanks guys!!

Thank you so much for that, I had no idea. I don't have enough time to start it this year but I set it up for next year!:thumbsup2

Thank you , didn't realize you could pay online with gc. Trying to figure it out now.

Ok...finally saw on the TCB website where it says this...but it only says it in the merchant notes section when you click on Cardpool:

Once a unique user has reached the threshold of $1,000 in purchases and sales, in total across ANY reward or cashback sites, they are not eligible for any more cashback from Cardpool and your transactions may stop tracking or go on to be declined.

So basically....one could still get cash back from buying thru other merchants in TCB...just not from ordering gift cards from the merchant cardpool by going thru TCB. This is not in the notes section on all merchants in TCB. Am I getting that correct?

I've paid off my $7300 balance with 151 gift cards!
I'm sure Disney hates it, but I love the money I save.

How and where do I open the DVC?

I have a question.... After I bought the last set of gift cards I started thinking what if something happens and I end up needing to cancel my trip or something if we end up needing a refund will the money be returned to the gift cards?? I wouldn't want to be stuck with thousands of dollars in disney gift cards... Anyone with any experience with having to cancel after using the gift cards????

Yes, the $ would be returned to the gift cards. You could use them for your next trip

There is an app for Disney Giftcards where you can track your balance for each. Be sure to keep the Giftcards and receipts. I took pictures of the Giftcards and receipts just in case I lost one (the back with number AND security code). The refund will be to the Giftcards. If you need the cash for the emergency, about all you can do is sell them to one of the resellers online for a discount. You would lose some of the value, so be sure you are comfortable committing this money to a trip to Disney. For me, the savings I got at the grocery store was worth it, plus we had some emergency savings already.

This is part of the reason that I am putting them through a disney vacation account. They can at least put the money back in there to hold for our next vacation.

Personally I would still keep the original paperwork and cards. We should all be well aware that WDW electronics/software are never glitch free and definitely not 100% trustworthy.

Good question. I assumed it was across the board, but if its not in the notes section for other merchants, you're probably correct. Glad you spotted this.

I set up a DVA to pay for WDW tickets. It is a nice way to consolidate those $50 cards + I wanted to be able to purchase tickets 60 days in advance so that I could book FP+. I couldn't figure out any other way to do that with all the gift cards.

A couple things to note . . . others have stated that you cannot use a travel agent and pay with your DVA. So for those that use Costco for cruises, a DVA won't work. Also, I believe you must have the DVA open for 4 months before purchasing tickets, packages, etc. in order to get the bonus gift card.

I like the DVA option for purchasing my tickets, but read the fine print. There have been lots of complaints.
