Disney Gift Card Deals

I've been following along with this newest Target revelation of no REDcard discount on gift cards. Out of curiosity, I looked up the benefits listed for the card. Has anybody else seen this before? Could be the answer to our question, albeit not the one we were all hoping for.......

5% discount does not apply to the following:

• Prescriptions, clinic services at Target and Target Optical™ eye exams
• Target gift cards and prepaid cards
• Any prepaid card or gift card purchased on Target.com
• Previous purchases
• Target credit account payments, Target Debit Card cash back and cash advances on the Target MasterCard
• Gift wrap and shipping and handling charges on Target.com purchases
• Wireless protection program purchases and deposits required by mobile carrier
• Where otherwise prohibited by law

That is new. I checked that this morning and it was not there. It was just added at some point today

I used the last $18 of my ebay ebucks this morning towards a $25 Ghiradelli gift card. I also bought a $100 best buy e gift card with the 5% ebates cash back.

Based upon the wording change, it seems like the discount was removed from only target.com orders

It appears it is just an online change which confirms my thinking that the online purchasers, many using GC's, were the problem.

I'll be happy if they at least keep GC > GC in the system. Ebucks/Ebates is good enough for me.

Besides, I don't think this is going to last forever as this keeps on growing.

As @eapool & @Marionnette already stated, these terms are new.

My optimism has officially turned to pessimism - I don't expect we'll enjoy 5% off gift cards via GC purchases any more.

IMO, the new wording (which appears to have just been added within the last couple of days) pretty much confirms that the 5% discount at Target .com has been eliminated for all GCs, not just Target GCs. However, it does not appear to apply to purchase in the store. YMMV

I wish I had a screen shot. I went to ebates, checked on the ebay page, it said "up to 5%" and I looked at the individual categories and it definitely said 5% for gift cards and coupons. I clicked through and did my order. That's not cool if they changed it and only give 3%.

I too saw on ebates that gift cards were 5% through the app, then when I went to purchase using the web it stated 3% and the app has been changed to 3% as well ><.

I did the deal through Ebates whenever it said 5%. I have no proof in the form of a screen shot or anything. I sure hope they honor it.

I am really curious to see if GS will get rid of the the gc-gc transactions. I would think it is not a good move for them since more and more games are going digital that means they will potentially loose money. I have never had an issues buying Microsoft gc with a GS gc. I never asked either I just scan the gc and I never has an employee say anything about it.

That wasn't nice! That's what I get for running errands instead of focusing on the important stuff.

I still think that I will make the $750 Target card purchase from eBay. If I get an eBucks promo tomorrow, I doubt it will be the last one I get. I can get 3% eBates ($22.50) and $15 in eBucks without any additional expense. This way, I will have the Target cards next week, or at least within the first week of May, so that I can be ready for the next eBucks offer that comes along. Adding $22.50 to my eBates (CASH!!) without actually spending anything is too good of a deal to pass up...again!

UGH I am so annoyed that Ebates changed that 5% to 3%. I wouldn't have bought my GC's if it didn't. I really hope I bought them before the change but who knows (I placed my order shortly after 10).

Count me in to the crew that thinks the days of 5% off at Target are gone. I hate to be pessimistic, I just have a feeling.
