Disney Gift Card Deals

My cancelled order happened 9 minutes after I ordered it.
Yeah that's about how mine happened. Have you tried to order again? I'm going to give it a few days (though I did want the shaving cream for my husband cause it came out to 6 for 11.47 after the 5.00 gift card).

Gotta say Thanks for all the great info on this thread - started my churning and love it! Granted, it does take some research and reading to formulate a plan that works for the individual.

Thanks also to the topcashback FYI on the Star Wars movie - got that and the $22 pending my account.

Figure since I just saw it will let anyone know who have interests in Bass Pro or Cabela's gc - Ebay has them on daily deal sale from seller svmgiftcards which looks to be a wholesaler? Anyways - Cabela's is $40 for $50 and Bass Pro is $100 with a $20 gas card.

Thought I would share my most recent experience with a cancelled giftcard order from Target. Last night, I went thru ebates to purchase a $200 giftcard, a $100 giftcard, a $50 giftcard and two bottles of laundry detergent. When I was checking out, I got to the point where you have to enter your info for the giftcards, your name, recipients name, email etc. I did not have to do this for the $200 giftcard, only for the $100 and $50 ones. I thought this was weird and said to myself "I hope this order doesn't get cancelled." Low and behold, the order did get cancelled almost immediately after I finished the transaction! Has anyone else noticed this while ordering the $200 giftcards? Maybe its a glitch in their system and has nothing to do with us? On a side note, I was able to purchase three $100 cards today and a $50 one as well. Did not add anything for ebates.

I order mostly $200 gift cards and never enter an email address. It always comes to me.

Do your Target orders contain only gift cards? Or do they also include an item that qualifies for cash back? Ebates generally excludes cash back for gift cards, but you can trick it to credit you for your entire purchase -- including the value of the gift cards -- if you add a qualifying item in with the order.

Here is the list of exclusions: Cash Back is not available on grocery, household commodities and essentials, baby care items (diapers, wipes, food, and toiletries), pet supplies, video games and consoles, music, books, contract mobile phones, prepaid and gift cards, Target Pharmacy and OTC, Target Photo, Target Optical, Target Café, SweetJOJO, and orders deemed by Target to be for resell.

We typically include a small, inexpensive item with our order, such as office and school supplies or beauty and personal care supplies. Check the category the add-on item is listed under to be sure it's not one of the exclusions, and even then it may still be cross-listed under an excluded category. YMMV.

I just placed an order with a 49cent glue stick! lets see how it goes! http://www.target.com/p/up-up-153-liquid-school-glue-4oz/-/A-17243517

I've had bad luck ordering the $200 ones so I stopped. No problems now I stick to the other denominations. Seems to be no rhyme or reason though.

Ugh - dreaded order canceled just now. I haven't had that since before Christmas. I ordered 3 - 200 ebay cards, 1 hand soap (shipped), and 3 shaving cream 2 packs (store pick up) that came with a $5.00 gift card. For those who have been having orders cancelled - is it happening almost immediately after placing the order? I literally placed the order and it was cancelled before the "we received your Target order" e-mail came through.

Exactly my problem. Had it for a week now. I think there might be a difference between cancelled immediately and cancelled a few hours later. Not sure, but it could be the difference between a banned account and a flagged account? I feel like we are just throwing terms around now at this point.

It's in the Target .com system that $200 ebay cards are automatically sent to the account holder's email address.
$100 and below can be mailed to a different email address & you have the option.

It's been this way since they first introduced $200 ebay cards back in December.

FWIW, $200 cards seem to get cancelled more frequently than $100 and lower, but I've hard plenty of orders go through for both and a bunch cancelled for both, too.

It still feels to me like certain activity triggers a manual review by someone at Target .com, and depending on which "inspector" you get, your order may coast on through or get cancelled. But once an order is cancelled, subsequent orders that day are automatically cancelled, so might as well wait another day or two to try again.

I think if your account is banned, your orders are always cancelled immediately. However, if your order is cancelled immediately, it doesn't necessarily mean your account is banned. ;)

why would target care if you resell their gift cards or not? they get their money either way. win win for them. i can understand cancelling an order of 10k in cards but less than 1k? give me a break. it must have something to do with frequency. if i was target and i saw legit funds being spent i would reach out to that person and try to get them to buy more!

We've had some pretty extensive discussions speculating why. In the end, who knows? Target doesn't tell people why they've been banned from shopping online; only to read the Terms and Conditions. Target decides who they want as a customer and who gets to use certain of their services. And if you're going to shop at Target just for discounted gift cards, find ways to get even deeper discounts, buy so many of them and perhaps not much of anything else they can make a profit off of, then maybe you're not the kind of customer they want. This is all speculation.

Yes, I have been able to buy Disney gift cards in store with a BB gift card. I only did a small amount though, $100. The cashier at the time hesitated a bit but I just played it off like it was no big deal and asked her to try for me because there wasn't anything else in BB that I could use my GC on right then. It went through just fine. I have read that others have had problems so I may have just been lucky. Oh, and I was at BB this past weekend and they did not have eBay cards, but they still carried Disney. Good luck!
It worked tonight. Purchased a $25 Disney gift card with $15 Best Buy Reward Certificates. It went very smooth.

If I purchase a Disney gc from target with an item I need, will they ship it together or do the gcs still ship separate?

Mine have always shipped separate but I feel like someone posted recently that their GC's shipped with items.

Daily Target .com orders? That kind of frequency will likely draw attention. Even two in a row, skip a day and then two more consecutive days is too frequent IMO.Why take the chance of getting banned?

Twice in a week is my personal limit with Target .com. It seems to work well and I haven't had any orders canceled since I set this limit for myself.
Thanks for answering, Marionnette, appreciate it! Well, I guess I have a little more tolerance for risk, but you're right, everyday is too much! But, I might do every other day for a few times then break, or purchase some in store. I sure wish they'd bring back the $100 Disney gc's soon! That would take many less orders! For a couple of the churns thru target back in Feb and early Mar I put in 2, 3 (4?, I forget,), quick orders to do the promo bucks offers they came up quicker than expected. Right now, that seems like a lot in retrospect, and all went fine, but would rather avoid too much now. I do wonder if the kind of cards purchased make any difference in the canceling some are experiencing. So far I've been lucky, and thankful for that. That's why I don't do the $200 cards just in case, as they seem to gave more trouble going thru.

I'd still be interested to hear how others do their purchasing. I bet promo offers spur sudden multiple purchases we might not attempt otherwise, lol. I do like the GS churn as long as that will still work as it saves a round of target purchasing, wish it helped more with the Disney gc's, too, lol.

Just ordered an ebay gift card on Target dot com with 4 cleaning supplies (they were having a buy 3 get 1 free sale). I went thru Ebates, but no pending cashback has shown up.
Does it sometimes take a few hours (or longer) to show up, or did I hit on one of the categories of things they won't accept? Everything will be put to good use, so it isn't that big a deal if I don't get a rebate, but I would like one :genie:

It can take up to a day or two. Don't panic [yet]!
