Disney Gift Card Deals

I did send a letter to every ebay executive I could find. I also filed a BBB complaint. Today I was told by a supervisor that ebay gift cards, specifically egift cards, have been causing transactions to freeze during ebay checkout but still processing the money as if it went through. This is exactly what happenned in my case. However, she says that there is no resolution at this time and while "they would love to return my money, they aren't sure if that is possible or when it may happen." This ebay manager tells me that there are daily reports on this issue but nothing they can do. "I recommend not using gift cards at this time" is what she told me. I asked her when ebay was going to warn the public about this and she said," it really isn't affecting that many people and we are telling those people the same thing we are telling you." I let her know I would contact the media to warn others and she had nothing to say other than, they are working on the issue.
Have you tried their Facebook page? I've never done that but hear that sometimes gets issues resolved quickly.

But one poster purchased $30,000 or so of Disney and eBay gift cards before being banned. So their purchase history changed dramatically and target did nothing until after.

This is true, but I am thinking she purchased all/most of that in a short period of time -- it's not like Target kept letting her purchase large amounts of gift cards for an extended period. And I also think she said that she buys a lot of other things from Target.com in addition to gift cards.

I don't think so. I got the impression that she had been at this for a while. She didn't do it in three months from what I could tell because she even said her process evolved.

With all the problems from Target lately from everyone, I'm almost tempted to skip the 5% and just go to the store and get the actual card.

Me too.

I think if I had the time and there was a high % Ebay bucks promo, I'd do it.

I am in the same boat. I was curious though because you mention that your RedCard is shared between your Wife and yourself. Does this mean you each have your own Target.com account? But same physical Redcard? Or does she have her own authorized Redcard in the same Redcard account?

I have a silly theory that the limitation is not a Redcard limitation, but a Target.com Account limitation.
She is an authorized user on my RedCard account, but we have separate Target .com accounts. She's had her Target .com account for a long time, it still has her maiden name on it. I opened my own account at some point; I can't remember why, maybe I was buying a gift for her and didn't want her to see the purchase on her account. As a household we don't buy very much from Target online (which may be part of the issue, since my purchasing patterns have changed since I started churning). We do most of our Target shopping in the store.

I wonder if I'd do better using my wife's account, since hers has more (and more varied) of a purchase history on it.

I had several orders cancelled on March 14-15, so I took a break and was able to order a $200 card on April 7th. I tried to order another $250 in cards yesterday (2 $100s and 1 $50) and the order was cancelled. I'm afraid I am getting locked out. I will wait a few more days before trying again, and add another item to my order to see if that helps. I've also thought about trying to order from my wife's account but if I got her banned from Target .com I'd never hear the end of it. (Although we share a Target RedCard and mailing address so if I get banned she'll probably be banned also. Will cross that bridge if I come to it, lol.)

I have been placing orders over the last month, usually around $600 with a small item. I tried to purchase 1 x 100 & 1 x 50 ebay card with a small item 3 times, all were cancelled. Yesterday I ordered 1 x 200 ebay card, no small item. I didn't get ebates but was still happy with the 5% and that the order even went through. I think it's a red card issue. While my orders were cancelled I was able to order with my husband's red card that is totally separate from mine. If you share a red card I doubt it would work to just order in your wife's name. I could be wrong though, I'm not speaking from experience.

I used my Target account twice before I started churning. Once for a Christmas item that was delivered and another for a Christmas item that was canceled. I then started using it for churning in Feb and so far so good. I did recently open another account with my debit attached (so one is attached to the credit and one to the debit) so I can do smaller amounts at a time, but still churn the same total amount. Plus if one starts getting cancelled orders I can use the other account until the first one is safe again. I am considering opening two accounts for DH too, to help with churning for our Oct trip. I'd use your wife's account until yours is back in action and then use both.

For those that shop at giant eagle-just looked at the upcoming giant eagle ad. They don't have double fuel perks but it is 1.5 times (15 cents/$50) starting Thursday on all gift cards.

OK, this may be a new one, at least I haven't read about it happening to anyone on here...I decided to keep up with the Target/eBay churn even without the ebay bucks promos. I had $750 in ebay cards available to buy Target cards. I wanted to buy 5 of the $150 GCs from GCM, but they said only 1 was available. Fine, I'll get 7 $100 GCs then, BUT when I tried to put them in my cart I received an error message "this seller only allows purchases every 10 days." WHAT??!! That throws a big kink into my churning! So, I tried a smaller amount and it went into my cart, but about 10 seconds later I get an error message and my cart is zeroed out. Now, I'm really bummed out, but I keep trying and I finally got it to take my 7 cards and I just went straight to check out. Of course then it played games with me as I entered my 6 eBay GC numbers it kept zeroing out the two previous cards I entered. Again, patience wins and I FINALLY was able to get it all to process. I just hope the order doesn't get cancelled for any reason.
Has anyone else ever received the "seller only allows purchases every 10 days" message? I'm hoping it was just a glitch. I mean, GCM and eBay are making money off us churners, so why limit us?

it looks like they are running out of gift cards, checked and it said only 1 150 card available, i would wait a day and see if they restock.

Just a quick question. I've been using discounted Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards with my Target Redcard for my last two annual trips. I'm thinking of adding one churn by adding Ebay to the mix. I believe that would give me an extra 5% off (less shipping for the Target gift cards from Ebay). I haven't gotten an extra ebay bucks offer since Christmas, so no extra there. I would need about 5K in Disney gift cards. Is it worth the extra hassle and risk? I'm not sure of what the ebay limits are or what the level of risk is, but I'm thinking the savings would be about $200. Thoughts?

Everyone has their own tolerance for risk, so what I might be comfortable with will not be the same for you. My only question would be how quickly do you need to convert your Target GCs into Disney GCs via the method you described? If it's just a month, then I'd say it's pretty risky because you're talking about cycling almost $10K thru Target .com ($5K to buy ebay GCs and then $5K again to buy the Disney GCs) in a very sort period of time. If it's during the course of a year, then it's a lot less risky.

Totally unrelated to the gift cards, as a seller you can limit the quantity and frequency an individual buyer can buy. Like they cant buy more than 5 items at once, or the 10 day thing.

the Target Ad 4/17 - 4/23 is out only seen people post movies and game deals, if someone else wants to search for a full ad that would be nice :)

Ugh - dreaded order canceled just now. I haven't had that since before Christmas. I ordered 3 - 200 ebay cards, 1 hand soap (shipped), and 3 shaving cream 2 packs (store pick up) that came with a $5.00 gift card. For those who have been having orders cancelled - is it happening almost immediately after placing the order? I literally placed the order and it was cancelled before the "we received your Target order" e-mail came through.

My cancelled order happened 9 minutes after I ordered it.

I had 3 cancelled last week and they all took at least 3 hours.
