Disney Gift Card Deals

In anyone's opinion do you have a preferred shopping portal?
Do you use just one or a couple?
Example I need to place an order and while I use ebates primarily I saw that deal on topcashback on here for SW blu Ray (thanks pp!) and signed up. Saw that topcashback had a better % return on the site I want to shop....

I use Ebates and Swagbucks. Personally, I cannot keep track of all of those and I hate to earn money only to forget about it later, haha. I do shop online a bit so Ebates has a great deal of cash back options IMO, and I like Swagbucks for the ability to earn $ via surveys and such.

I looked on target website and they have not been delivered yet. It says preparing to deliver for 3 of them. One was sent an hour after I placed the order. So, I guess I will wait keep waiting for now and hopefully they will be sent within the 24 hour period.

My order from two days ago took almost 24hrs for the email to come through. I ordered $425 in ebay cards.

What gift cards are you buying at BJ's? I checked the website and didn't see eBay, Target or Disney.
I bought Disney Gift cards in the store for my trip last year. I've seen them in-store for a while now.
I booked a spur of the moment trip over the weekend and I will be running to BJ's for GC's in the next few days. I'll post actual savings when I get them.

Awhile back there was a website posted that allows you to enter the store and it points you to the cashback site that is currently giving the highest percentage off. I did a search on this thread, but can't find it. Anyone?

Oh no, sorry to hear that! That really stinks to lose your bucks like that! Did you contact the seller you bought it from? Hopefully they would stand behind what they sold you, even if he was ripped off, too.

Beware in selling or buying gift cards on Ebay. It's looking like the reason that my BB&B merchandise gift card had 0 balance is because seller's picture showed barcode with only numbers covered but not bar code. Someone from California put pix on phone and scanned as payment.
I emailed seller this morning saying that my bucks expire and to please refund soon. Seller said would refund tonight.

Mine were both under the silver. It said:

Card#
Access#

I had tried all the others first!

As Professor said, it's contained in the big barcode as well. You have to skip to about half-way thru -- I usually look for the 041 since they all seem to start with that... and it goes from there to the end. So you really only have to scratch off the lower half of the silver to read the Access #. Also handy that the Card # in the barcode is a larger font, easier on the eyes.

What is the longest anyone has had to wait for eBay gift cards to be emailed from target? I don't want to call, but not sure what to do. Will target end up cancelling my order? Never had this happen before.

Personally I would just wait. Their system will flush out all the orders eventually, they're not just going to leave orders in the status of Created. Seemingly random things happen all the time on Target. No reason why some cards ship, others cancel, etc. I've had the same line item broken into some shipped and some cancelled before. But not out of stock, cuz I could then order again no problem.

I would use whatever is worth your time. For me, I don't like to split among too many portals. I also would not take surveys for points, so I don't see points-sites as worth it for me. MrRebates and EBates are what I use.

Where do I I out EBay GC numbers for storage?

Not sure what you're trying to ask here, but two things come to mind.

ETA: If you're asking where the eBay redemption code is, it's a 13-digit number that's emailed to you by Target ("delivery") with the subject "An eCard from Target. com." In the email, click on the button that takes you to eCard Center, enter your email address, click Print/View, and your code is the number under "Virtual Gift Card ID." If you ordered several cards in one order, you may have to scroll down the email to view each card.

When you use an eBay card in a transaction, it is forever linked to your eBay account and cannot be used by another account. Unfortunately, the eBay website doesn't have an easy feature, like Target's, that remembers your cards and remaining balance that you can select and apply. I believe the eBay native app (at least for iOS) does remember your previously used cards and gives you a box to click and apply the remaining balance. But since I shop through Ebates to get the 1% cash back for gift cards on eBay, I'm always using the full website.

A lot of us here like to keep track of gift card numbers on a spreadsheet so you can quickly refer to it to see which cards have been used, and which cards still have a balance.

Has anyone ever thought about making a Google doc or something (perhaps can be combined with the cash back doc) with step by step instructions for all of this? Then each time someone new comes, we can point to the doc? I'm only involved in the Target -> Disney portion, but I'm intrigued by the eBay side of the equation. The thread is just so huge at this point, that I lost track of how folks do that side.

My last attempt with MyPoints didn't credit, either.
I used MyPoints for my Target order last week and its not showing up. Wish I'd read here about MyPoints not crediting any more before I placed the order!

Are there any other portals that are known to credit for GC-only purchases from Target? If I have something else I need to buy and can do it in the same order as my GC's I will use eBates, but I don't want to purchase items I don't need just to maybe get credit from eBates. And every other portal I've looked at states not eligible on gift card purchases from Target.

Speaking of keeping track of g/c numbers, I noticed some of you asking about storage containers for your $0 balance g/c's just in case of a refund. Is that just for the Disney g/c's or for all of the g/c's? Like if I have a Target g/c and I use the whole amount to get an eBay g/c and receive the eBay g/c, should I still keep the Target g/c for an amount of time? Or would just putting the numbers in the spreadsheet work?

P.S. I have a little plastic first aid kit thing that I received from a Health Lunch and Learn at work and the cards fit in there perfectly. I don't have a lot of them yet though.

If you have the Chase Freedom, Sam's Club counts for the 5x reward this quarter. It specifically included wholesale clubs and listed BJ's and Sam's Clubs as examples.
Yesssss........ 5x points rewards for freedom at grocery stores/sams/bjs/costco (convert those into Ulitmate rewards points with my Chase sapphire=more free travel)

I just started this, but I printed out my daughter's school supply list for this. My son starts K next year and daughter will be in 4th. I am getting small things off the list each time I order through eBates and they have been crediting so far. I've actually been making more money through eBates, than the item is worth. Like a $1.00 pack of pencils, pair of Fiskars scissors, etc.

Ok, cool thanks.

Yeah, I was looking for a storage option similar to Target for the gift cards.

Where do I I out EBay GC numbers for storage? I feel like my grandmother using AOl IM with all this.

HAHA!! I thought the same thing at first - I just keep them in a spreadsheet. :) I always mark the GC number as well as the balance. When you apply the GC and not all of it needs to be used, sometimes you think it will take money from one and it won't, so I always make sure to check the balances when I'm checking out and note that on the spreadsheet.

We have discussed this a few times. And we have all agreed on.. No!

If people want to know how to do this, the best thing to do is READ and ask questions if you have some (one of those questions NOT being 'can you do a step by step guide')

If folks aren't willing to put in the effort to read and understand this, we shouldn't be willing to put in the effort to explain it. This is such a fluid process and things change all the time. People get mad when they try and do something and say "well so and do told me to do this" - it's totally a risky, YMMV type of thing. It is not one size fits all, though we are more than happy to answer questions people have. I have learned so much from the awesome people here.
