For those of you who tried the uncheck/recheck the box method to get the promos... how long did it take after that to start getting promos? I've been signed up with Ebay bucks for years and have never received a promo (that I know of). Of course, I can't even get to the Ebay bucks screen right now; it just cycles back to my summary page.

OK, here's my total from yesterday and today along with why I did it:

We are going to Hawaii this summer and I had the Holiday Inn booked for our 2 night stay on Waikiki Beach before our cruise, but I had my eye on the Hyatt Regency. Well, right now, the $200 Hyatt gift cards come with a $25 bonus gas card, so I knew that with all the kick-backs I could get the Hyatt cheaper than the HI, so I started getting cards! My target from my last churn haven't arrived yet, so I had to start this portion out from scratch, but that's ok because I was going to be putting the cash out for the hotel anyway.

So, over the course of 3 transactions, I spent $1,439.55 at Raise.com to get $1,499.53 in Target gift cards which I then used along with $20.47 on my Target Red card to get $1600 worth of Ebay gift cards. I then used those to get the Hyatt plus bonus gas cards. So overall, I spent:

$1,460.02 and have:

$1,600 Hyatt gift cards
$200 gas cards
$22.40 in MyPoints from buying on Ebay
$160 in Ebay Bucks
$28.79 from SwagBucks for buying through Raise.com
$30.40 in Ebates from buying on Target.com

for a total of $2,041.59 for a profit of $581.57! Pretty exciting considering that I'm also getting an upgrade for our hotel in Honolulu!

Now, to wait for my Target gift cards I ordered last time to start churning for our stay at Aulani after the cruise. I figured I better jump on the Hyatt ones now since they have the gas card bonus. I can work toward the Disney gift cards with the next bonus round.

I know others have posted about this but appears ebates has changed how they are doing the ebay cash back. I only received $1.28 for $1500 in purchases. They only gave me credit for the small amount I paid OOP.

I am going back to TCB unless anyone else has a better suggestion. I used TCB before and never had trouble. But they dropped their payout percentage so that it was the same as ebates so I just went back to ebates for ease.

I usually use MyPoints to purchase through ebay. They give 2 points per $ and I've never had any problems getting credit for my purchases.

I had split it into 2 orders so it would only be $50 in eBay Bucks in one and $55 in the other...I posted something I found saying that some other people had hit a limit here and there too with no real explaination so it looks like sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...

Hmm, well that's a shame, hopefully it should clear up, so let us know how that goes!

Hmm, how recently was this? With my purchases last week from Ebay, of $900, $900, and $150 and got $9, $9, and $1.50. I had another $500 order, on DD25's ebates, and got $5 on that. Those took 2 days to show up. The purchases I made today for the gamestop cards haven't shown up yet, but two target orders showed already.

Well, I was trying to get DD25's account to start getting the promos. I did that a few times, then I found the link to sign up for ebates. The regular ebucks showed right away, like you'll get 1.00 for this purchase, for example. Anyway, I took that as a good sign, and then the next promo, two days later was there! What it you choose to sign out of ebay bucks and save that, then try to resign up for it? Have you already tried that? If not, maybe that will trigger something. Haven't set already isn't helping so maybe signing out will reset it to accept it or something.

I only did $1000 with PPDG... I was attempting to do $500 and $550 with GCM for Target GCs to maximize the 5x eBay Bucks and get closer the the $500/qtr limit

So, we are having a similar issue. We got 2 $750 orders from GCM last night, $1k of Gamestop through PPDG and then we tried to buy through GCM again and have had nothing but problems. After talking to 5-6 CSRs from PP and 1 from Ebay, this is what we know: PP says the transactions from last night were flagged and reversed because "$750 seems like a lot of money to spend on GCs," however eBay says the transactions look ok on their end. They still have a shipping date, Ebay says they still look paid for, etc. PP says there is nothing they can do about the flag and that we just have to wait to make our purchases (I assume this means its a temp hold). I guess we will wait a few days and see if the account is resolved.

Seems like there has been problems for people making large purchases in gift cards through Paypal. It's been really easy for me as I've been buying the gift cards in $200 increments.

I went back to ebates cause it was about the same percentage and showed up quicker, but may have to head back to TCB again, lol.

Isn't it possible to just generate/churn cash through Ebates by purchasing eBay gift cards from target and using the eBay gift card to buy target gift cards on Ebay?!?

You get some, and I add it in but it is only 1% on gc's and another poster is saying ebates might not be paying on the whole thing now, but on the part you pay over the gc amount, so still waiting to see if that is for everyone or what the deal was.

This week I am also getting some odd amount which is about 1% of calculations I can't figure out. I bought $400 in Disney Cards along with a $2 item. They credited me $1.01 for that order ... And normally Target credits right away and this took all day to show up. I also had another order similar and same thing except the amount Ebates credited me was like 80 cents... So no idea what is happening there. BUT I decided to not ask them since technically they don't credit gift cards and it was better than the alternative which was zero....

Ye, it is. In fact, that's how many of us have been doing it. But the GS churn adds another dimension to the process. Churning through GS allows you to quickly turn your eBay GCs around because they are digital, arrive within minutes of purchase and count as an eBay purchase during ebucks promotions. It also allows you to bypass the quirky Target system that often cancels orders or randomly bans customers. I haven't tried it myself, but there's a GS not too far from my house and if they allow it, I may just have to give it a try soon.

Are you ordering two GCs with different denominations? The shipping discount only applies to more than one of the same denomination.

If you are trying to buy two different amounts the shipping is 2.99 for the first each. If you are trying to buy 2 $150 gift cards or 2 $100 gift cards then the shipping is discounted to 2.99 plus .99 for each additional card. The have to be the same value.

Well lesson learned the hard way then. Thanks for the info, they didn't put that tidbit in the CS response to me. Now I know...I should've done 2 $100 GCs instead of a $150 and $50. I almost went back and changed it but I was in a hurry to get it done.
