So I completely missed out on the 5x promotion. My gift cards from the previous week's 4x were still in transit. So I would have had to invest 'new' money which I was planning to do sometime. But I was traveling with the kids on Spring Break and I just couldn't find the time to concentrate and pull the trigger on it. Hearing all your great success stories, I'm feeling left out.

Are you getting swagbucks from eBay purchases when paying with a gift card?

Not the OP, but I have been. They're currently offering 1% on gift card purchases. Around the holidays, they had bumped it temporarily to 2%.

usually wont credit till your order ships, so 3-4 days.

My card shipped last night and I still don't have anything showing in my ebates through ebay. I still think it's because I clicked on the activate offer in my ebay messages and it opened a new window. So that makes me think the ebates link is broken since a new window opened. I did this on a tablet so I don't have the ebates extension added.

One thing to add...

Swagbucks takes 2-3 days to show the purchase in your history, and 75 days total from the date of purchase to credit the Swagbucks earned. As with all 'Shop & Earns', they count towards your daily goals AND count towards referral credits. (Hint: So if you and a family member both have SB accounts, place the order through the one that will help both accounts.)

Mine have not credited, either. But I'm not going to sweat it. I didn't open any new windows when I made my purchases. It can sometimes take all day before I get the Ebates notification once my eBay purchase has shipped.

My eBay has been fine, just Target that has been a failure. I always forget about Chase though, need to check there to see if I can get Target to credit if they're listed.

UGH! Just another problem to look out for with Target! I get a lot of digital Target GCs from rewards programs. At least they can't recycle those! I'll have to be careful about the others. Maybe I should just mark the physical GCs up with a Sharpie so they cannot be recycled to another customer?

I was advised yesterday to either do that or destroy on my own. I *really* wish they'd bring back the ability to combine GCs on the app, that made life SO easy. Too bad it was only there for a short period of time.

I have a mypoints question..... I don't know when they changed their site, but when I tried to redeem for a gc, I was asked to input my birthdate...when I did, it rejected it as wrong, but I never input a birthdate on my acct! So I sent a help email,and haven't heard back yet...... so basically my gc is just sitting there wasted..... any one else get help from them?
Oh, And I see my ebay order on ebates,as a shopping trip,but nothing credited...don't know what that means, but maybe it will happen? I haven't had issues overall with target orders, but I tend to get enough extras that I'm over the gc amount on orders,even if just a few dollars

Just saw that Verizon customers can earn points for gift cards. Since I don't use them, I haven't signed up & don't know which gift cards they have available, but I thought this might be helpful in churning for some members.

AHHH I don't have the best head for numbers..... it took me a while to think this over,and even with it all on my spreadsheet,I had to figure it out..... Ok so I started in december(very slowly,wish I had learned faster lol) and I bought merchandise I wanted/needed also- so not just the gift cards (I can't wrap my mind around separating those out right now) but here's my overall savings.... doing the simple ebucks target ebay thingy.... 24% discount!!! And... I have a small chunk of gc leftover,plus gonna get some more, to start again for future trips! (or merchandise along the way lol)
Tell me if I figured this wrong (please)
----First I added actual value of ALL gc's I now have + actual value of Merch/ship costs
----Then I added the total OOP I spent on actual gc's + total amt. of merch+ship costs I paid
Then I subtracted the from the actual OOP for both categories my rebates,etc.
----*The number that resulted is my overall savings,correct?*----
that would be the 24% off I calculated.....
Everything else like Redcard 5% is included in my inital 'actual cost vs actual value' calculations.... am I missing anything?

Has anyone had problems with target tracking? I placed my first order of Disney gc from target Wednesday. I got an email yesterday morning that the order shipped. When I click on the tracking there is nothing there.

@jaccceee SW is worth a shot, I forget about them too since their rewards are typically lower. It shows not eligible on GCs, but fingers crossed!

Thanks! My husband's account has a pretty substantial number of points that I never knew about. VZ is being a pain right now and I can't access the shop site, but I'm hoping for some good rewards
