For those of you that are getting denied over the phone with Gamestop, it does not apply to every location and YMMV. Try and give another one near you a call, or just walk in and attempt it and they might do it. If they seem unsure and attempt it, it'll work because you don't need an override.

For the maximum flip with the rewards certificates, you should save it and wait till a good used game sale comes up and use it to flip back to Gamestop for more credit. Earlier this month they were doing a 4 for 20 in which Call of Duty Black Ops was a part of the sale ($5 each) and trading back in at $13.75 back store credit. They're always really slow at updating the used trade in credit, so there are advantages to doing it this way.

EDIT: You can also do a Best Buy flip as they sell gift cards on Paypal Digital Gifts, the problem is finding the gift cards in stores as they are scarce and have only $25 cards if I recall correctly.

I'm pretty sure that my $80 Ebay bucks on 1 of my 2 accounts are gone! Luckily it's not my $400+ account. It looks like I'm not even registered for bucks anymore. I was thinking this might happen.
Some data points. Acct 1 has my full 1st & last name. Acct 2 has nickname+same last name that I use on all my credit cards. Both accounts have been open for more than 10 years. But acct 2 ebay bucks program has only been opened since early this year.

Here is what I have noticed in regards to the cancelled Target orders, especially when trying to purchase the $200 gift cards. If it does not prompt you for the From Name, To Name, and Email address for each card before placing the order then the order gets cancelled. But as long as it asks you for that info and you put it in, it seems to go through just fine. I tried just a few minutes ago to purchase a variety of cards. $50, $100, and $200 denominations. It asked for the name and email info for the $50 and $100 cards but not the $200 cards so I removed those so that the order would go through okay.

I never get prompted to input an email address when purchasing $200 eBay cards - they're automatically sent to my registered email. I've never had one cancelled (just cursed myself, I'm sure).

Nope - 200 NEVER asks for the to/from information. I ordered several today and none asked and all came through. I did one order today with 4 - 200 and they came through no problem (which shocked me cause I thought it was a limit of 3). Yesterday, I ordered a single one and it came through no problem.

They only time I have had cancelled orders was a day that I started by buying target gift cards online to combine my smaller amounts. I then attempted to turn those into ebay and it got cancelled and everything else I ordered that day was cancelled. That night I went to target and bought a new target gift card and then I placed an order no problem.

Okay, good to know. I guess Targets system is just dang quirky.

where are you guys buying gamestop cards from gcm on eBay? just curious why gamestop churn over target churn..... thanks for any tips!

Dumb question here... how do you access GCM on Ebay? When I put in a search for gift cards, I get a bazillion gift cards for sale. How do I know which are the right ones (safe ones) to purchase?

This is if I ever managed to get an ebucks offer.

I've had multiple canceled orders at Target today. It's driving me absolutely insane. No amount seems to be going through for me :(

Others may have other opinions or other ways but typically I head to the main ebay page, click on giftcards as my category or simply type in game stop gift cards.
I typically stear away from personal sellers..nothing wrong with most of them but the slight chance of a bogus card is a small risk I try to avoid.
GSM or Gift card mall is one of the major sellers on ebay that has good reputation as well as sometimes running promo's ie: the $50 for $60 Game stop gift cards they ran a few weeks back.
Major advantage for GS is you can churn them quickly as they email you the gift card # apposed to shipping them like target.

Oh shoot. My old ebay account never gets the offers, but I have $15 ebucks from standard 2% stuff I've bought. My new account just got this offer and I accumulated $120 ebucks between yesterday and today. My plan was to use the $15 on the older account when it shows up in April, then unregister for ebucks on the old account. Both accounts are connected with the same paypal account. Think I should just unregister from ebucks on the old account now and let that $15 go? I'd be more concerned about them taking away the $120 on the newer account.

I think that it's time to give it a rest. Multiple orders for the same item can look suspicious and their fraud software might be kicking you out. I know that you probably want to get in on the 5X ebay bucks, but going through Target .com might not be in the cards for you today.

Have you tried looking in your account to verify? Click on My eBay > Summary > Buy > eBay Bucks

It should take you to your eBay bucks summary page so that you can verify your current eBay Bucks balance.

So you just click on each card until you find one from GCM?

From the main eBay page, I type "target gift card" in the search box. GCM comes up as the first listing under "featured event" and "authorized gift card seller".
