I'm sure this has already been mentioned in this thread, but Lowe's sells Disney GCs and Chase Freedom is offering 5% cash back at Lowe's. I haven't gotten up there to get one yet so if someone has, does the 5% work on purchasing GCs?

Super excited! Over the past month I was able to get Target GCs from purchases ($5 GC when I bought 3 bags of coffee etc.), swagbucks, and Shop Kick. I bought $100 in Disney GCs using my Target GCs and I only paid $7.30! I am less than a week away from getting enough to buy another $50 GC! So exciting!

I love earning the target GC's and didn't even think of saving them for the Disney GC . Love it! Will start doing this!

Sometimes I find the $5 Target GC deals by walking around the store too. Some are not advertised so now I am on the major lookout. Ours had a $5 GC with the purchase of 1 $5.50 item! I stocked up on those!

I just left target. They said the 5% red card discount does not apply to the Disney gift cards anymore. They said that they worked until a couple weeks ago. I knew they did away with the 5% pharmacy rewards discount but thought I should still get the red card discount. I guess I will be buying them elsewhere now

I went to target today with my 5% pharmacy card and target credit card. I had no idea that the pharmacy card discount was discontinued. Our cashier was a huge disney fan and actually owns DVC. We purchased $2500 in cards so that discount was huge to us. He spoke with the manager who made a call and then manually over rode the system! After reading this thread tonight, I feel very lucky on that purchase!

Never trust what "they said." Unless you experience it, frankly, they have no clue what's going on. The RED card discount happens automatically without any input from the cashier. More often then not, that cashier doesn't even know what it applies to; they just know it happens.

Of course they "said" that (that's why I don't "ask"), but did you actually "try" to buy the gift cards and the computer didn't take off 5% with your red card?

Online only allows 3 cards at a time, but you can do more than one transaction. Free shipping and 5% off with your Red Card.

I live 30 miles away from the closest Target so I do most of my DGC shopping online. It has worked every time with zero problems.

Has anyone else had an issue getting the 5% Red card discount in the store? I need to pick up GC's for my trip next weekend and don't know if I should just go to BJ's instead. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards
