I've just got a minute to check in, with a question and just responding to the posts below for the moment. First, my question is, you can buy Disney gift cards in store with a target redcard and get the 5% off at the counter, correct? I called to ask a question and she said no, but I think she was wrong. I know I've done it before, but she said it doesn't work for gift cards. Just checking with you guys that it is supposed to work, right? I do recall others saying they've had issues and plenty say it works. Just checking again, lol!

It only draws attention to the deal that you are working on. And when you don't get the answer that you wanted, you end up checking with the people from whom you heard about it in the first place.

If you choose to believe what others have said many times on this thread, then there's no need to call. If you don't believe what others have said, you can either choose to try something else or take the chance in the store yourself.

But please, Please, PLEASE don't call Target to find out if a deal is going to work.

To get the $500 limit raised to $5000 you have to link a previously unlinked bank account... Credit card won't cut it, they want your bank info. I had credit cards on mine for years, did not work till I linked up a bank.

Is this a requirement for PayPal or for eBay? I really didn't want to link my bank account, but now if that the only way I am going to ever be able to use these two eBay gift cards - then I will. And from what I read I will have to wait for some small micro deposits to go on there. So, it's not a hurry at this point, since I am assuming that will take some time and I can wait for he next eBay promo to use them.

Thank you very much. I wasn't really worried - more annoyed than anything. After being a member here and reading so much info I thought I knew what I was doing to put my toe into the waters of churning. Turns out I still have a lot to learn. I aprreciate all of helpful info here though.

Yes you can. Most target employees will tell you that you can't if you ask them because you can not get a discount on target gift cards. They assume that means all gift cards, but it doesn't. Don't ask or they might just say no. Just do it.

I think he can open a Paypal account now, not you. You've already got your 2.

You can be as creative as you want... if you've got a vacation home with different address, phone, etc, they probly will never know if you want to keep opening more.

I don't usually see Ebates show up until a day or two after my gift cards shipped. It's not like Target where it sometimes shows up almost immediately.

So a little late posting this but anyone that shops at giant eagle the double fuel perks promotion that is supposed to only be on restaurant and clothing retailers is also working on target cards (seems like a glitch since target wasn't mentioned in the ads or the in store info). Only until midnight tonight but if you have a credit card with a high percent back like the Preferred Blue American Express could be a good deal (6% plus $0.40/gallon of gas up to 30 gallons) combine that with the target 5% and that's a pretty good deal even with no gift card churning.

Pretty sure the new ad said double fuel perks starting tomorrow on travel gift cards including southwest and Disney-so no bonus 5% going through target but still could be a good deal for people with a big gas tank looking to save without a doing a lot of work. And who knows maybe it will still work on target cards lol.

My GCM order of $150 target cards has shipped from the early hours of the 5x ebay. I have to say, it was great of them to pull the cards from sale and then re-add them later this time, rather than the usual debacle of them running out and canceling orders....

Not a bad idea. Paying cash at Ebay, this would not count against your $5k limit, right? That's only when paying with Ebay certificates? Don't forget you can combine Ebates (1%) or MrRebates (2% if paying cash). So your 10% is really 11% or 12%.

I was thinking about this and came up with the following, is that correct?
$100 eBay Target GC purchase using any 2% cashback ($2) @ 5x ebucks ($10), Target GC to Disney using any 2% cashback + redcard 5% ($7)
2+10+7=$19 savings on $100 = 19%

There would be the $2.99 shipping from GCM to factor in so more like $16 savings or 16%. That is about right. I don't always get 2% cashback. I used TCB today which was 1.5%. I saw iConsumer was 4% but I've not used them yet so if their payout is accurate, then even greater savings.

ETA: you would also earn CC rewards off your initial purchase. For me, that would only be 1% but it's another $1.

I do know not to call and ask questions, thanks. But, I would like to clarify my comments above that I typed in a hurry to confirm what I knew. I called to ask a question, not about gc's. I got the customer service person and
had questions on getting target debit card for DD25. I asked if she'd get the same 5% discount on purchases as you would on a target redcard cc, and she said yes, but offered there were no discount on gc's with the debit card. Seemed odd and I asked if she was sure and she said no. She didn't make much sense so that's why I asked here in case I missed something new or different about target debit cards. I realize my comments above left out some of the story but I was in a hurry so was a bit flustered, on a break from work.

I used 9 ebay gc's on my $900 order, $750 cc on my second order today, and $650 gc's on the recent 4x offer. Seems like I could run out of the limit of using ebay gc's pretty quick and I don't even have as much money as it seems some use. Sorry but this is totally confusing me, lol. It's late(or early, I guess), and I'm tired, maybe I'm misunderstanding?

I don't think his Paypal is gonna get sorted out. He isn't as into all this as I am so making several phone calls to Paypal ain't gonna happen. I was lucky to get him to call yesterday and since that person had no clue what they were talking about, it was pointless. Unfortunately, I am sitting on $1800 in ebay. I cannot start running gift cards through ebay again until May, which feels forever away!

I did end up buying some of the $150's this morning and just paying with a CC. It's still a good discount. I may just use those to go straight into Disney. You should be ok on the 5K limit with a couple of churns of $900 more. In my case, I did a bunch of the ebay to ebay GC purchases...where they let you buy $100 for $95...did everyone they offered in Nov and Dec (and sometimes on both mine and dh's ebay which both were going through my Paypal). Those are a trick, I swear!! Never again!

My ebay bucks say they will arrive on Apr 3rd. The free money is awesome and fun and yeah, this whole deal is stressful. I haven't been terribly stressed with it until yesterday. It won't stop me though lol!

Yes, May is months away and it will be hard if you get promos on your accounts and not be able to use any until May! Btw, how do you find how much of your limit you've spent and have left? My DD25 was excited to hear how I was getting free money with this churning, lol, even her fiance was impressed, lol.

Sounds good to me... Yeah if you have extra Ebucks to earn, I would make a point to get all $500 by March 31. Your $900x3 would be $270 if you get more 5X... but if it's the same $900 you're churning over and over, the probability of getting 5X in 3 separate weeks in March is low.

Darn limits on free money.

So I bought another $750 with a cc so another $75 in ebay bucks, for a total of $217 so far. Awesome! I'm just hoping I get some a couple of good deals between now and late March, though there will probably be some low deals, and maybe one or two higher 4x/5x, that'll make me think each time if I should do any lower offers. I held off last week luckily so I was able to do this great deal, so very glad I waited! But I probably won't make the $500 ebay bucks limit, and of course the closer I get to that, the closer to the $5000 limit. I've got a trip in early May, then in Nov and I hate to run out of churning room in the months after May for the next trip.

The $5000 limit for using ebay gift cards is a paypal limit. Although they are "ebay gift cards" it would probably be better to look at them as "paypal gift cards that can only be used at ebay." You must have *and* use a paypal account to redeem them. Paypal imposes a limit of $5000 every 6 months in redeemed ebay gc (there may be a fudge factor of a few dollars, I know I spent $5003.88 or something similar).

Target actually falls under the "fashion" category, or clothing as you referred to it, at GE. I actually had to ask at the service desk because they took out the lists attached to the gift card sections that showed each vendors classification. FWIW, Disney is also categorized as "Fashion". My local ad actually showed Target separately qualifying for the double a few days later anyway.

I don't about you, but with the decline in gas prices, I'm really having to stagger my purchases to avoid losing perks each month; so far, so good. Also, don't know if you're already doing it as I have posted it before, but buy the visa/mc $200 gift cards (I wish they had higher amounts) when they are double and then use those to buy your Targets/eBays when they are double. Using a 5%-6% cash back grocery card to do this is optimum. That combined with Target 5%, DVA, and a portal gets you 32%-35% off on Disney with very little effort. Throw an eBay churn in there and get even more.
