Disney Gift Card Deals

Target actually falls under the "fashion" category, or clothing as you referred to it, at GE. I actually had to ask at the service desk because they took out the lists attached to the gift card sections that showed each vendors classification. FWIW, Disney is also categorized as "Fashion". My local ad actually showed Target separately qualifying for the double a few days later anyway.

I don't about you, but with the decline in gas prices, I'm really having to stagger my purchases to avoid losing perks each month; so far, so good. Also, don't know if you're already doing it as I have posted it before, but buy the visa/mc $200 gift cards (I wish they had higher amounts) when they are double and then use those to buy your Targets/eBays when they are double. Using a 5%-6% cash back grocery card to do this is optimum. That combined with Target 5%, DVA, and a portal gets you 32%-35% off on Disney with very little effort. Throw an eBay churn in there and get even more.
Never thought about the GE visa/mc to Disney churn. Thanks for the tip. Portal? Not sure what you mean.

Good catch -- Here's the terms...

* You can earn up to $100 in eBay Bucks on any single eBay purchase. This means that if the eBay Bucks earn percentage is 2% and the purchase price (excluding tax, shipping fees) is in excess of $5,000, you would be restricted from earning any more eBay Bucks for that purchase beyond the $100 eBay Bucks purchase earn limit.
* You can earn up to $500 in eBay Bucks for all qualifying purchases during a given calendar quarter. This means that if the eBay Bucks earn percentage is 2% and the total value of qualifying purchases exceeds $25,000 during a given calendar quarter, you would be restricted from accumulating any more eBay Bucks beyond the $500 eBay Bucks quarterly earn limit.
Well this explains one detail to me..... that's what I get for buying without reading the t&c in full..... I bought a bit OVER the 1k in one purchase..... so that's why it was "only" 100 ebucks...... I thought about it briefly as I checked out..... Next time I will know better! :teacher:

Oh BTW I got 1% on ebates purchasing thru ebay, and I got 2% on Target order -also ordered a few items along with gc's that I actually needed,so that's a plus!

Thanks for the reminder about the visa MasterCard thing-isn't there a fee for those cards though? I guess if you negate most of the 5-6% credit card cash back but get double fuel perks you still come out ahead and then can get double fuel perks again when you turn it into target gift cards. Never really paid attention do they offer double fuel perks on those prepaid cards often? Or just when all gift cards are double fuel perks?
As far as target being categorized as fashion I tried asking at the service desk like you did months ago when they had a similar type of promotion and was told it didn't qualify-go figure right?
Are you sure about Disney though? In my ad this week it showed a picture of Southwest and Disney cards (plus a few others) and the bonus category is travel cards. Maybe it is classified both ways since they can be used at Disney parks and the Disney store?
I hear you about staggering purchases-I didn't buy all I needed back in January when they had target advertised with double fuel perks because I was still using up fuel perks from December purchases.

There is a fee for the visa/mc, but that's why I use the 6% cash back Amex, you'll actually make $5/card after the fee plus the gas on initial buy in and then the gas again when you buy what you really want. The fuel perks are offered on these very regularly in my area. Due to the lower gas prices, I've been buying the Visa/MC and holding on to them until the Targets/eBays are double and using them then. My Feb purchases are made, so I've got gas through April (yes, pun intended) and will see what is offered in March.

Cards do have multiple categories. Target is definitely under "fashion" and Disney is definitely "travel" and "fashion" as well; that's why you're seeing it this week for "travel", but it also qualified last week because it was "fashion". If you can happen to locate one of those lists at the store, you will see them on there. I wish the lists at my stores hadn't been removed.

I saw iConsumer was 4% but I've not used them yet so if their payout is accurate, then even greater savings.
I've used iConsumer twice so far, the first time when they were running double % back so eBay was 8%. This was on 1/30; I don't remember how long it took for the transaction to show in my account, maybe about a week, but it shows my balance of $20. (eBay is a max of $20 back per person per month, so even though 8% of my $300 purchase was $24, I am only getting $20. That's still almost 7% back though.) I used them for eBay the second time yesterday at 4% back, which should be another $12. Their terms state that they pay out 90 days after your account reaches $25 so once my transaction from yesterday posts I assume I'll get paid 90 days after that. I'm still kind of unclear on what the payout schedule is, so I may send them an email after my latest transaction posts if it doesn't show a payout scheduled.

I saw the GE ad last night. 20 cents off per gallon when you purchase a $50 GC. I have a hard time deciding on whether or not that's a good deal. If I can get Target GC's discounted at 5% through Raise and do it that way, I think personally, for me it is a better savings. My car holds 12 gallons and we live in an apartment so I don't get to take advantage of the 30 gallons you can purchase. So for me 12 gallon tank that's .2 x 12 = $2.40 savings per $50 gift card (and that's if my tank is totally empty, which lets be honest sometimes I let it get that far but I really try not to!).. which is less than the 5% I'd get with Raise. If I had 30 gallons I could get, that's $6 savings per $50 card, a pretty good deal.

Yea, you'd definitely be leaving a lot of money on the table only getting 12 gallons. A 5%-6% cash back credit card for grocery stores would help you a bit on the initial purchase, but if you're in an apartment and don't have the ability to store a couple 5 gallon gas cans, then you'll have to decide what's best for you. I always get 30 gallons when redeeming; whatever doesn't fit in the car goes in 5 gallon cans.

Target would be the company to call -- they're who you bought from. I think they'll cancel the order, invalidate those redemption codes, and refund you the money, then you can re-buy. But I'd give it time first, will probly sort itself out and not have to call.
I don't know what made me think of it. Probably from all of the information and suggestions. But, I decided to try one more time last night and where it says switch PayPal account at the checkout Page I remember that my DH had a PayPal as Well, so I used his account number and then it let me input the e gift cards! So, the numbers were valid and it is like a few others posted - the reason I couldn't use them was my account wasn't validated. This has been a learning experience for sure. I understand that as much as you read about it, until you try to do it yourself there are a lot of little issues that can come up. Churning is not for the faint of heart.

Ha, right? HEB always has really great deals, but I think this is the best one I've seen yet!

I agree! This is the best deal on Disney that I have seen in a LONG time. I'm actually shocked it is unlimited use. Fine print looks like would need to do multiple transactions though. My aunt lives by one HEB and works by another. She is going to get her and I both some.

Nope. I just purchased two $100 cards in the same transaction and it took $40 off. There goes my budget.

Sorry - I have never used one of these digital coupons at HEB before. Do I need to print it out or does the mobile app generate a bar code to scan? I have the site open on my desktop and the app open on my phone and do not know what I need to bring to the store. Help please!

ETA: Wait - I think I understand now - you just enter your mobile # and PIN at the checkout? That's awesome!

You create an account and add the "coupon" to your account. At the register, you enter your phone number and pin.

I have a question about Cardpool....

I ordered from them for the first time this morning. I got an email confirmation of the order and then another email asking me to follow a link to validate my identity. I clicked on the link and it said that it was not available at that time and that a customer service rep would call me to verify in person. This was early this morning and I still haven't gotten a phone call. I was hoping to turn these cards around for Southwest cards today. Any advice or do I just have to sit and wait on Cardpool? I see no phone number anywhere for them. Wish I would've stuck with Raise :'(
