No, you can pay the difference with your redcardI was going to just make up the difference with my redcard, does that mess up the process? Do I need to buy another Target GC so it is paid 100% by GCs?
My understanding is the 5k limit is based on gcs used AND purchased so if you bought a $500 gc using an eBay gc you would be at 1K. Can anyone confirm this? I think this is why it adds up so quickly for people.I can't imagine rolling that much that you are tapped out against the 6 month limit. I have not tried the eBay twist mostly because I have been pretty happy with my Raise % to Disney (Target 5%) with the ebates or MyPoints thrown in (14%+/-)...but I did get the 3x offer and would like to give it a try. I have 175.00 Target GC's, so do I:
Go to Target through MyPoints and buy a 150.00 Ebay card using my redcard default
When it is emailed to me I use it at eBay to purchase a 150.00 Target GC using the 3x link offer?
Will the Bucks cover the cost of shipping? I know I need to perfect the $ amount to take full advantage but just looking to get the steps/timing down this time.
TIA!
I've been looking at other options too. I bought the hotel.com giftcards on sale with the ebucks. You can use them on the website and it says if you have multiple to call and combine. There rates aren't the best always but not bad at all. DH and I are contemplating a trip to Aruba in the fall so I am thinking of getting Hyatt gc's to cover that.can this gift card churning be used with any other vacation destination?
what about royal carribean cruise line?
Must not meant to be this time around. I tried adding a pair of yoga shorts, got free shipping but not the redcard discount. I tried backing out to make sure the redcard was still the default payment. Still did not get the redcard discount so I am going to close out and try again tomorrow morning. Thank you for your help though, much appreciated.

OMG!! Argh!! I got my Target gifts cards turned into Ebay cards, all set to go and I go in to Ebay just now, put the $50 cards(all that's left, of course), in my cart and try to check out. It says to lower the amount, I do and start to check out and suddenly they say there's nothing in my cart, there are no gift cards available! Argh! I'm sure it's pretty unlikely they'll be back in stock anytime tomorrow so looks like I missed out this time around! Ugh, I was going to try to get my targets cards into my account so I'd be ready to buy anytime, the other day, but I didn't really expect another ebay bucks offer so soon after the last one!
It is eBay gift cards USED.I think it is just gift cards that are used as payment.
I was worried about that too. The struggle I was having with just getting the 5% redcard disc wore me out, I somewhat figured that would be the next issue.OMG!! Argh!! Since I couldn't get the Target GC converted to eBay in time to take advantage of the 3x bucks can I just go into the store and buy them and get the redcard discount so I will be ready for the next deal? I'm still interested in trying the eBay steps but given the issue last night not I'm not sure I want to push it online. TIAMight've been a blessing in disguise. Next time around, there's a good chance the deal will be better - 4x or 5x. And now you have everything ready to go as soon as the deal starts!
I don't know how often the deals will come this time of year. Last time was just under 2 weeks ago. The next deal could be as soon as a week from now.
They 5% discount only applies to purchases paid for with the REDCard when used in the store. The part of your total which is paid for using Target GCs will not get discounted.Since I couldn't get the Target GC converted to eBay in time to take advantage of the 3x bucks can I just go into the store and buy them and get the redcard discount so I will be ready for the next deal? So, I got the 6% eBay offer, but I saw that people were saying this was essentially a 3x offer. I bought $200 Target GCs and I got $12 in eBay bucks. Are y'all saying that it is possible to earn more than that if I get a 5x offer?!?
Last year, there was an issue with GCM and people were getting their orders canceled, but mine never was. I messaged them twice, and waited patiently. Finally, I asked when my cards were coming, and they were like "oh, sorry, your order was canceled, we will refund back to your gift cards within 2 weeks." I was *super* frustrated, but that didn't stop me from churning. For as much as I usually follow this thread, I'm so mad I missed the 3x ebay bucks! I mentioned yesterday that GCM messaged me when I asked to add my apt # to the shipping address - I responded asking if they had been shipped and if I'd have to sign for them. This was 24 hours ago. They never responded. Now with GCM being sold out, I'm nervous that I won't get my order - which would be super annoying considering I purchased them last Tuesday. Ugh. Does anyone have experience with their response time? I usually give 24 hrs before following up with another email..
Wow! That is amazing! I can NOT believe I've been missing out on this subculture of savings!!!Sure... a 5x offer would've gotten you $20 instead of $12 for the same transaction.
