Disney Gift Card Deals

really weird my old account thats 10 years old got 3x, but my new account that is 3 months old got 6x. sitting it out since both hit 5k limit and wont be able to do it again till march.

Was it for 6x or 6%? My email said 6% which is really 3X. It got my heart racing when I saw the 6 until I re-read it.

Yeah this email was tricky. At first I was like 6x wow - then I read it more carefully and was like that's only 3x... First time I've seen them use the percentage over the x times.

Thought it might be worth mentioning that if you file your taxes with H+R block and elect to get some of your money on a target gift card you will get 5-10% more $ as a bonus, depending on which product you're using. So at 5% a refund of $1000 could turn into $1050 which you could turn into $1100 in disney gift cards with the redcard discount, netting you a free $100 (plus a $5 remainder on your target gc).

I got the 6% too. So glad i double checked here first!

My jaw dropped when I saw the 6% since they usually send the offer as 3x, 4x or 5x...I "saw" 6x in my head...What a letdown!!

I was gonna hold but I caved and ordered anyways. I will probably regret it but turn around for me with GCM has been really fast (they are in Denver burbs and I live in Denver burbs) so hopefully, I can get the Target money back in eBay and be ready to go for next time. I do need to see where I am though in the $5k limit thing.

I'm just getting into this churning idea and have read back about 35 pages or so. I don't have lots of time to churn as some of you are doing, but the only thing I haven't gotten firmly in my mind is the exact process when you go to buy your final disney gift cards through Target. For example, if I have a bunch of $150 Target gift cards that I've bought through Ebay's GCM and I want to convert them to Disney cards - it's my understanding that you only get the 5% redcard discount if your have at least a little bit charged on your target redcard. So, is that where you throw in a little something extra in addition to the gift cards so that you have to pay at least a little bit? Or does your total really not have to charge anything to your target redcard?

I'm just thinking that if I have say $600 in gift cards (4 x $150 target from ebay's GCM) and I put $600 of Disney gift cards in my cart to buy. It will take my total down to $570, so I'd have to buy a little more than $30 more to cover the discount and then something being charged to my card. Or do you just buy $650 in disney cards which would be discounted to $617.50 and pay the extra $17.50 on your target card?

Thanks so much for all the ideas floating around here! You guys are the greatest!

I have a problem I haven't encountered before. I was trying to use up a bunch of 'smaller' eBay GCs and ran into a new limit on the number of gift cards ebay is allowing. My last order let me put in as many as I wanted. This order is limiting me to 5.

I'm going to go back & make sure I haven't bumped up against any spending limits, but as far as I know, I shouldn't be near any.

It depends. Some people don't need to have any balance actually hit their Red card. Some do. You won't know until you try it for yourself.

Again, dealer's choice. Personally, I'd be more inclined to go for the $650 and just pay the extra if I had to, but if there's something you want/need for $31+ at Target, the other is a perfectly acceptable route, too.

I ordered $1500 worth and used 11 gift cards to fully pay for the order.

Thank you so much for your help! I just wanted to make sure I was thinking of this correctly!

I would buy the $650 and pay the additional with my Redcard (still get 5% on that). It really is your call though and either works fine.

Weird. I ordered $900 this morning and used 6 ebay GC.

Thanks for the feedback that nobody else is hitting any GC limits. Just something weird for me then.
