Disney Gift Card Deals

1. I'm assuming you're referring to eBay Bucks offers? Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed formula to get them. If you want to get them and aren't currently, go to My eBay > Account > Communication Preferences > Promotions and Surveys. I have the first four boxes checked there to be safe, but I think the only one that matters is "General email promotions." If you already have that checked and you're not getting eBay Bucks offers, uncheck it, save that, and check it + save again. I had to do that a handful of times over the course of several weeks until I finally got them.

You also need to make sure you are enrolled for eBay Bucks, which you do here: eBay Bucks Rewards Enrollment.

You won't know if it "worked" until you actually get an eBay Bucks offer email, so it's really a guessing game.

2. It's difficult to answer that question because we all have our own methods and everyone really uses different elements to piece the puzzle together - there is no right answer (or even 3 or 4). If you could give a little more information about exactly what your process is, that would be helpful in being able to give an answer about what you're missing.

Based on what you've stated, it sounds like you buy Target gift cards from Raise, and then use those Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards (in store or online)?

If that's the formula you're comfortable with, these are the things I would add:
  1. Get cash back on your Raise gift card purchases by going through a cash back website that supports Raise like TopCashBack (TCB).
  2. If you're not buying your Disney gift cards online from Target, you may want to consider doing so via the Red Card method.
  3. Use a cash back website (with a filler item added) to get cash back on your Disney gift card purchase from Target.

I don't think @Marionnette's intention was to offend or insult. I've never seen anyone here balk at answering a specific question. Although I do not think you intended it that way, your question came across more as "explain the method" than "can you help me with this one aspect?" If you have any specific questions about any of these steps, I'm sure one of us here would be happy to help.

Thank you very much. I am using Swagbucks to buy Target GC on Raise.com...then using those to buy my Disney GC with the Red Card discount while going through ebates. Although, I am not sure if I will keep doing that based on people getting banned from Target. But in any event, I have that process down. I just don't know what the process of buying the ebay gift cards and then buying Target and keeping that going. Is that only beneficial with those ebay bucks offers? and btw...I am going to trying unchecking and re-checking. I am signed up for the program, but I haven't been getting the offers that others seem to be getting.

Thank you very much!

I have answered numerous questions for others on here that have been answered over and over. I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't already tried reading through this thread and numerous others and tried searching. I only found lots of talking about it but not the actual process. And if you used ad nauseam to try to make me feel dumb, I have news for you...I have a law degree so yeah, I know what that means. Have a lovely day.

I believe the process is instead of buying Disney gcs from Target you buy e-bay gift cards (at the 5% discount). Then you wait until you get a 3x, 4x or 5x e-buck promotion and use the e-bay gift cards to buy Target gcs through GCM (Gift Card Mall). The money you earn with the e-bucks promotion far surpasses the shipping cost you will incur through CGM (I am a power seller on e-bay and have had an account for over 10 years and have NEVER received the e-buck promotional offer. So it's just not worth it to me to do the churning -- I am bombarded with 4+ e-mails a day from e-bay and on the verge of shutting off the "receive promotional offers" button).

Then you repeat the process over and over again, not buying Disney gcs from Target until you are ready to use them for your trip. Add in the ebates and swagbucks that you get through the churning and I guess it really adds up.

At least that's my understanding of the process.

Just a heads up . . . I had the RiteAid Amex offer on 3 of my Amex cards - spend $15, get $5 statement credit. They sell loadable Target, Disney, and Ebay cards. I bought a $45 Target card and had the cashier split the transaction between all 3 cards, so I ended up paying $30 for a $45 card. I don't think there is a twitter code unfortunately.

Thanks for the reminder. I had that offer on one of my cards. Now, I just need to remember to go there before it expires. It isn't somewhere that I normally shop at.

Oops my apologies, deleting as I already whined about this once before, lol.

Yes thank you for the reminder and for the confirmation that it works on buying gift cards. I also don't normally shop at Rite Aid so I need to remember to go there before the promotion expires.

is there a way to check how much Ebay gift cards you have redeemed in the 180 days? I know I'm close, but I thought id be nice to know how much I have left and when some amounts fall off.

A big reason that we (or at least I) ask people to go back 20-25 pages and read is the process has a lot of quirks and nuances. Yes, the basic formula is buy target from raise, buy ebay from target and then buy target from ebay when ebay bucks is running. But there's so much more to it. Not everyone gets the ebay bucks offers, so there is discussion about whether it is worth it to churn without an offer in the previous posts.

Gift Card Mall is out of gift cards a lot, so then there is discussion on when they will get them back in stock or about buying target gift cards from other sellers.

Then there's the ebates aspect...do I add a ruler? Would swagbucks be better?

I think most people recommend going back and reading because then they get a much more comprehensive understanding of how the process works and the risks involved before they start. It's not at all to make people feel bad or dumb. Those of us who do it spent a lot of time understanding the process. I'll admit when I started, I went back and read almost this entire thread so I knew what I was getting into. I hate to see the people that read one or two posts, jump in and then it doesn't work because they didn't understand a quirk and now they have hundreds of their vacation dollars tied up in a way they can't use on vacation.

Can you use TCB to shop thru Target to buy gift cards without buying something extra? I thought I read someone does that, but reading at TCB, it does say cash back is not valid on gc purchases. But then it works to buy gc's thru Raise? I went to raise thru TCB, and bought a gc and it says it registered that I made a trip there, but no cash back pending on that. That was on Friday, the 29th. How long does it take for something like that to show up?

Is anyone that regularly churns, still using Ebates to get to Target? I didn't realize until the last couple pages that people were now afraid to use Ebates for the gc's while adding a small item. I read everyday so not sure how I missed that. Can you buy something bigger to trigger the ebates if you actually need that bigger item, is that less suspicious?

I got my first 3X Ebay bucks offer today. I am not a power user (as mentioned above). I'm a very rare Ebay user--one order in 2015--so maybe that's why I got the offer. Now the question is, do I take it or wait for a better offer? :scratchin

I think I have a problem with my first order on GCM as well. I ordered a week ago and I have never received a shipping confirmation nor have I received a confirmation that they have cancelled my order. This is frustrating.

Yes, I've been churning regularly since October and I used Ebates to get to Target for two orders of ebay gift cards yesterday, adding in an eligible item both times (a $2 item and a $20 item) without incident. Got the full amount from Ebates on both orders. It was my first GC order since the banning was reported. i was more than a little nervous, but everything went through without incident. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I haven't purchased from Raise in over a year. All my Target gift cards come from either Gift Card Mall, Target.com, or purchased from the grocery store using my Amex Blue Cash Preferred (for 6% cash back plus fuel rewards).

I wait for deals now. In November & December last year, there was eBay bucks deal a week. So far this year, there's been one in all of January.

If I didn't get offered any deals, I'd probably just space it out to about $800 worth a month to keep right inside the $5,000 per rolling 6-month window limit that eBay has.

What is the $5,000 limit on - buying gift cards from GCM?

I'm a little nervous, too. I purchased last Tuesday I think. My estimated arrival date was Thursday 2/4. I sent them a question immediately after I purchased, asking if I could amend my shipping address (I forgot my apt # .. doh!) and they emailed me back yesterday (5 days later) telling me they had not yet been shipped and I could either cancel and repurchase them, or continue on with them. I read that you have to sign for orders $250+ (mine was over that amount) so I continued on, assuming I'd have to sign, and I'll be home that afternoon when the mail comes so I figured it's alright.

Now I'm reading the post from the other day (I can't remember who said it, sorry) saying that they were out of $150 GC's. I ordered 2, so I'm interested to see what happens. I'll be so mad if I end up stuck w/ $400 in Ebay GC's. Ugh.

I just wish they would send me a shipping confirmation so that I could track it and make sure I am home to sign for them. It's weird that it would take so long to ship out gift cards. I have $900 worth of eBay gift cards so I am gonna keep the faith that it all works out.

I also got the 3x ebay offer. I personally will sit this one out, mostly because I hit my $5K limit on using ebay cards for 6 months and can't use those until 2/11 (I used my paypal history to go through and see how much comes available when for my ebay gift card cap, so I know exactly how much I can churn and when).

I'd get, at most 12% using a 2% back CC and 4% from iConsumer (and either have to pay shipping for target or miss out on the 5% redcard with kmart cards), where I'd get 13-20% back on target cards from Kroger (7% when fuel points are 2x, 14% when 4x, plus 6% amex preferred cash). Overall, though, I would prefer not to put any more cash into either target or ebay (just use what I already have) until I need more fuel points :) (I'm using about 35 gallons every 3 weeks, currently have 35 gallons, and 1000 fuel points, so probably won't need more until March unless they do a 4x promo before then)

I am also holding onto my target cards until ebay cards go on sale, or I need more ebay cards to churn (which also won't be until March).

Both DS and I got the 3x offer. We've almost maxed out my $5000 PayPal limit so we're switching to his eBay and PayPal accounts. Our plan is to jump on any 3x or higher offer. By the time we hit his $5k limit, we'll be able to switch back to mine. Good thing I converted my Target GC to eBay yesterday on the chance there would be an eBay offer this week.

really weird my old account thats 10 years old got 3x, but my new account that is 3 months old got 6x. sitting it out since both hit 5k limit and wont be able to do it again till march.
