3. Repeat the process, now using eBay Bucks towards the purchase of Target GC from eBay for additional discount.

Is this right? Will I end up with enough of a discount to make it worth the effort?

With each cycle, you'll only end up with ~5% more than the standard Raise-->Target method. So if you want $200 of Disney Cards, that'll cost RedCard customers $190 (5% off). For RedCard customers with 6% discounted Target GC from Raise, they could get that for about $178.60 (10.7% off) with minimal effort.

For your step, you'd still have to to spend $178.60, but you'd have $10 of Target GC left over. But you'll have to wait for the 2 $100 Target GC to be mailed to you before you convert them to Disney GC.

eBay has $100 eBay gift cards for $95 -- I am tempted to use my eBay gift cards from Target to purchase a few but I seem to recall someone here saying that they encountered trouble with their eBay account after they did that.

I was the one who has it flagged my account. That occurred in August. I was on hold with PayPal for about 2 hours until my account starting working. However, my eBay app no longer works ever since I accidentally bought an eBay gift card rather than my normal target gift card.

I wouldn't be surprised if they blocked it from working now.

When you read the fine print it definitely says you cannot pay for eBay gift card using eBay gift card. Worth a try but beware....

You can PAY with ebay gift cards - $5,000 every 6 months. Its a rolling 6 month time frame. I found this article very helpful:

If you place an order on raise.com, it says they guarantee the card is valid for 100 days. What if you aren't going to use it in that time? Do you just check the balance when you get it to verify? I've never used that site before but am looking into it.

On another note, does anyone buy gift cards from Kroger to get fuel points and disney visa dollars and then use the gift cards to purchase disney ones? I'm wondering if this isn't just as good a deal. I have the premier visa.

I strongly suggest not buying gift cards via resale if you are not going to use them within the guarantee window. After that, the previous owner could use the ID info from card and deplete it and you would be out of luck.

Yes, I've used Walmart gift cards to purchase Dis GC's at Sams before, but I did mine online.

Hmm. We don't have another trip planned right now so I'm not purchasing any cards, just getting Target GCs from rewards sites. I planned to start converting them to Disney GCs once I have $50-$100 saved up. If I decide to churn through eBay first I'd have to wait until I have at least $250 in eBay GCs in order to make sure I earn the $5.00 minimum in a quarter (since eBay only gives 2% back in eBay Bucks). And then wait until the quarter ends to cash in that $5.00 towards another Target GC to repeat the process.

I don't know, I'm kind of intrigued so I might try it once. Just have to rack up $237.50 in Target GCs first!

This is an even better deal when Target .com offers eBay GCs at discount.
2. Purchase Target GCs from Gift Card Mall on eBay. Again, this is a better deal if they have the Target GCs on sale for less than face value and free shipping. Pay with the eBay GCs that you got from Target.
   
3. Wait for the Target GCs to come in the mail and then repeat the process as many times as you care to do it.
   
4. Finally, buy Disney GCs on Target .com using the 5% REDCard discount and paying with the Target GCs that you obtained using this method.

Increase your savings by participating in as many rewards programs as you can use for these transactions:

• Use a rewards CC that offers bigger bonuses for grocery purchases if you are buying your first Target GC from a grocery store.

paying the gift card game. i tested the buying disney gift cards at walgreens with a walgreens gift card. did not work. then i tested buying disney gift card with walgreens register rewards. IT WORKS. keeping in mind their silly rule of one coupon (register rewards count as coupons) per items purchased. purchased $25 gift card, 7 filler items about 25 cents apiece, using 8-$3 register rewards and about $2 on my credit card.

Thanks for the heads-up about the limit and how to check. I am about half-way to the limit but that's only in the past 3 months, so I am going to hold off for a bit and wait for the bonus deals (bonus bucks, free shipping, eBay cards on sale at Target) rather than just cycling through for the 5% off from Target and the regular eBay bucks.
