Disney Gift Card Deals

bought $500 in Disney Gift Cards with red card through RMN and cash back is pending. But, i bought $500 worth of merchandise from Macy's through RMN and only $6 is showing up. They sent mulitple shipments with the first being $30 so that is where that $6 is showing up. I emailed them and sent the email receipt from Macy's showing my total purchase. they said wait 45 days. the cash back amount was 20% not to exceed $50. so i should get the $50. $25 cashback pending from Target for the Disney GCs. and ordered some uniforms for my grandchildren from Academy and $12.09 pending from that purchase. pretty good couple of days for RMN.

Unfortunately you can't use Target gift cards to buy other GCs anymore either.
But you can go through RMN and get the 5% back there and buy the Disney gift cards with your RED card discount.

I see, thank you.

For anyone willing to answer.....

I'm just confused on the RMN part. I see a "coupon" for 5% off sitewide on Target. Do I just click that and then shop at Target normally? It says it can't be used on gift cards.

Expires: Ends: 8/1/2019
Details: Combine with other offers for an even better deal! Cash back is earned on the qualifying purchase total after any discounts and before any fees, taxes, or shipping and handling are applied. Purchases of gift cards are excluded. Rewards earnings up to $50.00. This cash back reward will not exceed $50.00.

EDIT TO ADD: Ok, I figured it out now. It was under "Cash Back" on RMN. I clicked that, chose the email version of Disney GC delivery and selected $50 for the amount, and checked out with my Red Card. I had $2.50 RC savings and the other $2.50 will show up in my RMN account.

Can we do larger denominations or does it have to be multiple transasctions of $50 each?

DP- Ordered a $500 Disney e card this morning from Target. It arrived in a few minutes. I have an aol.com. Went through RMN and got the "you've activated at Target" email. Have done this MANY times in the past and so far have received all the CB I was due from RMN.

I don't have anything to add but I had to reply that it's nice to see someone else still using aol :) I couldn't get my email with gmail and I just don't want to deal with changing it after 20 years. Plus it still works :)

Funny! I agree, the hassle of changing all my things to a new email is SO not worth it! But I do feel so old saying I have an aol (and I'm only 40!). Had my email about 20 years too. :thumbsup2

I am in the aol club, too lol. And I’m 42. My DD makes fun of me often for it.

Yay another aoler 😀 I'm 40 too! I sometimes get comments or questions but don't care. Kevin Smith still uses an aol email for his hollywood babble-on podcast that is recorded from a live show. They've commented about it on the show before. I don't think he uses it for anything else though because he'd have said so. But just the one thing makes me feel ok about using it 😀

Aol chat rooms are also where I increased my typing speed to over 60 wpm. Had to be quick to get your point in :rotfl2:

There are a LOT of pages to read through here. And a LOT of creative ways to save. I'm assuming some of these ways have expired or are no longer valid. Could someone point me in the best direction? I need to buy 6 adult and 1 child 5 day park tickets (no hoppers).

I have a debit card.
I have a Target Red Debit Card.
I have a checking account.
I have Swagbucks, Ibotta, eBates, and can get any other rewards account if needed.
I have a Discover IT card but it only has a $200 limit. I will be increasing that but I think it takes a week or so.

My 60 day FP is August 6th so I need to be able to link tickets by then.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The cost of Disney Park tickets at Undercover Tourist is a 6.5% discount over the Disney website. Assuming your credit card gives you 2% cash back, that is 8.4% so if you aren't getting at least a 8.4% savings, you are wasting your time and money.

As many have said, using the Target redcard and going through RetailMeNot nets you 9.75% (Not 10% off as some have said, since when you take 5% off of 5% you can't just add the 2 together.)

As of now, retilmenot has paid the 5% back for buying giftcards but we all know it will end at some point, just like the swagbucks. When will that happen? When enough people are doing it and retailmenot starts enforcing the gift card restrictions. It could be tomorrow, it could be next week, it could be in 3 months.

So basically it boils down to, do you want to take a slight risk that retailmenot may not end up paying you the extra 5% or just buy the park tickets at undercover tourist for a guaranteed 8.4% and also have the convenience of saving time and not having to do any work at all combining gift cards, etc.

That is a question that each person would have to decide for themselves on a personal basis. I'm sure different people would have different opinions.

My personal opinion is that anything less than a guaranteed 3% savings is not worth the effort for me to start dealing with gift cards. Again, that is just my personal calculation of how much I value my time.

HAHAHA, I'm 49 and AOL is the only email I've ever had. Every time someone wants my email I get the comments, my adult boys laugh at me. I guess people have 2 or 3 email accounts now? I'm so old school, I don't even have a smart phone - Qwerty keyboard for me! Using the phone DS27 had in middle school - that thing is a tiny brick! It's been dropped soooo many times, nary a scratch. Oh, and no facebook or twitter, either (and still have a landline, lol). Nice to be in such great company!!

As long as you all aren’t paying for it. I’ve tried to convince my dad (he’s 75) that you don’t have to pay for it since they have broadband but he just continues to pay. At one time my mom also had an account so they were paying for two accounts.

You can do larger purchases. The $50 limit is on the reward. So you could buy $1,000 from target before you hit the $50 cap. That cap is for the day.

I believe RMN limits you to 5 cash back transactions per retailer per month, and maybe 15 total cashback transactions overall per month. I've forgotten who posted the (updated) details a number of pages back, but that's what I remember.

AOL (or any free email for that matter) is great for using for the "extra" email you get. I have a personal e-mail I have from my ISP that I use for personal contacts and anything else I deem important and want to see regularly. I use my AOL account to give to businesses, for any orders I place like Amazon, and things I want to see/get but don't requite immediate attention, etc. That way if I don't check it all the time I am not missing out on anything. You can also use it as you main email of course and get a second email for the "extras."

I have had my AOL email account account since 1994, back when it was dial up and you paid by the minute.

I want to know this too. I have a dummy checking account linked to my Red Debit Card. Will I still get the 5% cash back if I pay with a different debit card that is not linked to the checking account?
I have not bought gift cards since a few years ago when you could use the 20% off coupons at Target, but we are going next summer and I need to start again. I started on the last page of this thread and worked backwards for a while. I don't do any of the apps like Ibotta or stuff, because when I've tried in the past it was so little money for the time spent. I used to use ebates when shopping online, but I let that slide, too. I just want a reasonable plan and am hoping you can help! Here are my questions:

I read that some were getting the 5% off from Target combined with credit card rewards. How are you doing that? Are you ordering online and then using a different cc other than the REDcard? If you have the REDcard on your account, will it automatically give you the discount, even if you aren't using it to pay?

I don't do a ton of online shopping, but should I resume ebates or should I switch to RTM? It seemed like there were mixed results?

Anything else that is fairly easy?
Thanks for any direction!
The only fairly easy thing left is buying with your RedCard at Target for 5% off :( Anything that tracks is YMMV and always requires extra effort and a hope & a prayer it tracks right.

You can only combine RedCard 5% off with cc Rewards this coming week when Target runs a special sale giving you 5% off e-gift cards- pointless for Disney as you can’t use a Target gift card to buy other gift cards. There is no other way to combine your cc Rewards with the RedCard discount.

I cancelled my cruise today and the deposit was put on a Disney Gift Card. The cast member said the refund will appear on the gift card in 7-10 days, does it really take that long? THX

Get a $10 SaveMart gift card if you purchase $50 in Disney, up to $300 in gift cards. I saw it flash up in an ad at the checkout counter, not in print or on the gift card display. My store of course had no idea how to make it all work but the computer did say I was eligible for $10 offer and the cashier was game to keep trying stuff. I know how problematic these deals often are at my particular store when they come around about once a year so I only did one $50 but if you have a SaveMart maybe you’ll have better luck! No idea what dates it’s valid but I know it was valid today.
