My Sams purchase from Friday never did give me the Uber credit. I purchased $325 in a Sams card and the rest in groceries.

Sorry, i didn't explain very well. I purchased a Sams card + groceries. I paid with my Dosh linked Visa (this same Visa is also linked with Uber).

Glad you found it!! I remembered it was confusing and totally counter-intuitive!

I got it to work!! nothing was showing up on my phone app under settings or payments other than the visa card I have linked but still no option for uber credits. I decided to try the website on my laptop. I clinked on everything in the laptop website. Still nothing but it must have triggered something because when I opened the app again on my phone, voila! it was there, thank you

I’ve had Uber credit,then not credit, then credit again at Sam’s. I can’t explain the inconsistency.

Well I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Sam’s CS today and they determined that my order must’ve been cancelled because the shipping address didn’t match the billing address (we’re currently renting). So they verified the info i gave them and said my order should go through now. Well the problem is now my $45 credit isn’t showing up like it did before. I’m so mad. I’m on hold again now trying to see if they can add it back. I hope I didn’t waste $45 on a membership I’ll never use.

ETA finally spoke with someone who seemed more helpful and she told me to go ahead and place the order again and added a note to my account about either adding my credit back or issuing me a gift card. Fingers crossed! Also sorry for being such a Debbie downer but I’ve done so well saving lately I was losing my mind over the idea of wasting money

Have you linked the same Visa card to your Uber app and activated the Uber local offer? Also if you're using a Visa debit card as credit, it might still be processed as debit. Not saying any of these are what's causing you're issue, just listing some things that could cause the credit to not appear.

Edit - Just saw that you had the card linked to Uber. Have you gotten the credit in the past? I seem to remember having to opt in to the local offers.

I am thinking I can get a VV from SB (and save 2%), buy a Sam's/Walmart GC online, then go to Sam's and buy a Disney GC (saving another 6% with discount plus Dosh). Would this work?

Can't answer what @4Hawks did specifically, but I have a Best Buy Visa from an old financing offer years ago and yes, the rewards on that card are issued in My Best Buy rewards, the exact same certificates you can redeem from normal shopping (they're earned at a higher rate on the card).

All in all, if you shop at Best Buy a lot, it's not the worst card - Citi sends out spend offers once or twice per year. Last year I got spend at least $20 five times outside of Best Buy and get a $50 rewards certificate.

My Shopkick also had an offer today for 200 kicks for ANY Sam's Club receipt. I went to Sam's and bought $150 Sam's card (plus garbage bags and soap that we actually needed!) I immediately got notification from Dosh that I had gotten 2% cash back on the full purchase amount. I also got instant notification from Uber credits of $9.16 in credits (5% of the full purchase amount).

I just joined Sam's, so I haven't had much experience with using Sam's gift cards to get Disney gift cards, and I decided to do some experimenting. I bought one set of $75 gift cards after logging in to Sam's through ebates (1.5% cash back). Because ebates is tied to using linked credit cards, I paid by putting $70 on the Sam's gift card and $1.98 on my ebates-linked credit card.

Then I went through Shopkick (for the 20 kicks per $1 deal going on today) and did the same thing - split my purchase between the Sam's gift card ($70) and my regular Visa ($1.98).

Unfortunately ebates and Shopkick don't post their cash back immediately with Sam's, so I'm not sure to what extent my experiments will work. I'll report back once I get notification!

BTW, THANK YOU to whoever up-thread posted about Uber credits. I had no idea that was a thing!! We use Uber at Disney a ton, and also use it at home, so that was an automatic extra 5% back on my gift card purchase!

Update: my 200 Shopkicks for uploading any Sam’s receipt are still processing. No sign of the 20 kicks/$1 processing at all (not a huge surprise since GCs are excluded).

My 1.5% from ebates posted today! So I was able to get that despite buying only GCs and using a Sam’s GC for almost the entire purchase.

So in all, I paid $143.96 (Sam’s price) for $150 in GCs. Got back $1.08 from ebates, $9.16 from Uber cash and $3.66 from Dosh. If/when the 200 Shopkicks post, that’s another $.80. Net cost $129.26, or almost 14% off. Not bad considering how low effort it all was!

Why not just get a Walmart GC from SB at 2200 SB and then use that at Sam's for a Disney GC ?

Two datapoints from yesterday:
1. Got Visa local 5% Uber credit when shopping at Sam's; I'd gotten it in the past even though Sam's never showed in my visa offers. Now it does show, and it worked yesterday. All grocery purchase. I haven't paid with a Visa in quite awhile so I'm not sure if I had an interruption in the offer like some.
2. Stopped at Home Depot self checkout and bought 2x$50 Disney GCs using 2x$50 Happy Guy GCs all in one transaction, no issues.

I assume they are getting another GC after the monthly discounted one. The VVs are "on sale" with a 2% discount on most denominations.

No, these were just general reward points on DH's BoA CC that can be redeemed for GCs. Unfortunately, most of the GCs are for places we don't shop at, except for BB, Starbucks, and iTunes.
