Just an FYI to those with Dosh issues- my $20 credit was pending for 30 days before being denied. I sent them a message and they responded very quickly to tell me they had manually credited the $20 to my account and apologized.

I actually also couldn't ever get the Sam's Club deal to work, so they ended up just emailed me a $45 gift card.

Thanks. Did it show as "pending" right away after you made the transaction?

I have very little experience in this arena and need some help from you GC experts. We are headed down to WDW on 3/16 and I was going to pick up about $2000 GCs at Staples with my CIC for 5x points. Is there anything I can stack easily to save some money on these transactions? I don't know anything about Dosh/ SB or other stuff that is mentioned here but I'm willing to learn if it can be done in short order or something to work on for the future. TIA
Nothing to stack in store at Staples right now. FWIW you might want to purchase sooner rather than later just in case your store limits the amount of gift cards you can purchase in one day (some stores have a limit of like $300, I don't think Staples is one of those but better safe than sorry).

@pix13dust - What kind of credit card did you use? I wonder if some CC take longer than others?

@grumpy28 - Did you get to Samsclub.com through the Dosh app or through the link in the email?
I used my Amex blue cash card, which is linked to my Dosh. And I opened my account thru the email link. Was that wrong?

I used the same card, so maybe it takes longer with Amex for some reason. Let's hope the credit shows up in the next couple of days.

To redeem, you can choose a paypal, or various GC. Paypal is minimum $25. Also, once per month, you can get 3% discount on a GC. E.g., an Amazon GC for $25 that normally goes for 2500 points will go for 2200 points. However, there are no discounts for Paypal payouts. As a bonus, you will also get a minimal best buy rewards GC that you can use for merchandise (not GC).

I think you meant to say once per month you can get a 13% discount on a gc, not 3%.

I got the $45 deal to work but my $20 is still pending, so good to know

Just an FYI for those who are using Sam's and Dosh...

If your Sam's Club sells gas, you *will* get the 2% Dosh credit if you use your registered card at the pump:thumbsup2.
We don't have a Kroger around here (or anywhere else that I can score some sweet fuel rewards:sad1:) so the best I can do is use the credit card that gives me 2% cash back on gas purchases (and the Sam's Club gas pump *does* code as a fuel purchase) and combine it with the 2% rebate from Dosh. That nets me a tidy 4% back every time we fuel up our 35-gallon 2004 Suburban or our equally inefficient 2007 5.3L V-8 Trailblazer:rolleyes:.

Don't get me started about how happy we are to live in Michigan where our wonderful governor has decided that we need to have a $0.45/gal INCREASE in our gas tax over the next 9 months:teacher::headache::scared1::furious:. We were already planning to replace the Suburban by next fall, but this may push that timeline up just a bit. I can't stomach the idea of going back paying $3.50-$4.00/gal for gas again:sad:.

My Sam's fuel pumps automatically uses my card as debit.. I need to figure out how to circumvent this.

The only way I know is to pay the cashier, but I don't know if you can do that at Sam's. I would never use a debit card at a fuel pump, even though Sam's only authorizes a $1 hold, some pumps hold enormous amounts. When gas was >$4 gallon, they were pre-authorizing cards for $100 and then they would limit ALL purchases to $100 at a time. I remember when I would have to do two transactions because the pump would shut off at $100 and that was only about 25 gallons...and my tank wasn't full yet:sad:.

And that's why we moved from MI (Rochester Hills) to NM.

I have the same problem in the store. I don't use credit cards, only debit. I asked the cashier what to do to run my debit as a credit, she said to not use my pin, but every time it runs as a debit. For Dosh to credit, I have to take a picture of my receipt and put in a request. They told me they will ALWAYS credit me my Dosh $ even if my transaction gets run as a debit. I just have to do that added step until I can figure out their system.

I use my debit at our gas station every time I fill up and it never puts a hold amount on my card, just charges me the amount I bought.

Amex $10 off Sam's Club purchase from Mar 4 credited today for me. I'm so used to seeing credits as soon as the charge posts it gets unnerving when it takes another day or two!
