Disney Gift Card Deals

California BB. Just converted $400 BB GCs into Disney, didnt try SB or multiple transactions. I did purchase a 5 dollar toy with it, unsure if that made a difference, I’m just super thankful. Sorry to everyone who was denied, hope its resolved soon.

Do you mind giving an area? I'd love to convert mine if possible and no dice in my area.

Yeah, the website seems fixed compared to yesterday. Only the $50 was showing yesterday and when I looked you couldn't even go to the gift card section, it would give an error. I had to do a search first and then back track into it, but it still only showed the one. Now all the Disney are showing like usual. (4 in Extreme Values, 1 in Adventures & Getaways)
However, when you try to checkout now it prompts you to sign in, there's no guest checkout it seems. Unless you found a work around to get past the cart?
You're right, it won't let you check out now without becoming a member! It's $10 a year to shop online, which is reasonable if you plan on buying thousands of dollars worth in Disney gift cards I guess. The best offer I can see is 4% on the $100 card.

The BJs website still isn't working for me to purchase gift cards so I went with Sams Club and that seems to be a bigger win than I thought. I got $600 in gift cards from Sams for $571, but then I got 3% back from ebates equaling another $17 off. So I almost saved $50 off that $600. Not too shabby. Now I just hope they get here in time!
Do you have to be a member to buy them at Sam's club? Did you buy online or in store? I don't have a Sam's club where I live, so I would have to purchase online. Tia!

Yep, 4% is as good as it gets with BJ's right now. The Sam's 3pk of $50 ($150 total) is 4.7% off online ($142.98) with in store price being a couple dollars higher. Which is why if you have a Target RedCard (credit or debit) or a Discover card with 5% cashback categories it's sometimes recommended to go that route. Discover's current quarter is grocery stores and many in my area carry Disney GC. But if you can get 2% or better return on your CC then Bj's will net a little more than the 5%; but that doesn't take into account the new membership fee. (which, as you say, will be diluted if you're buying thousands of dollars but has more of an impact if you only do hundreds)
And so far as I know Sam's doesn't have an online only membership so if you don't already have a membership or know a member, that may not be worth the extra .7% off. Would have to work the math on a Sam's membership but paying the $10 for Bj's is at least easier.

Hmm...that's something to keep in mind when Discover offers their 5% cashback bonus for warehouses in the last quarter of this year.

Now that the BB deal seems to be done, what is the next best option? Redeem SB for PayPal and still (hopefully) get the 600 sb bonus from BB per $50 transaction? Or redeem SB for walmart gc to buy the discounted Disney gc at Sam's? Or another option that I'm not aware of? I have tried to read through the thread but still a newbie here. Thank you all for your tips and knowledge! :flower1:

I think I am going to bite the bullet today and make a special trip out to BB to see if I can convert my $50 BB into a $50 Disney gift card. It's the one that I bought from MGCP (using SB cashed out to PP) and I am still waiting on the $25 BB card I redeemed on May 1. That one will probably show up today after I get back:rolleyes:. If it is still working at my store, I will redeem for another $25 in PP and then combine it to make a final $50 purchase and then I will simply stick to Target for my $25 redemptions. If I can earn another $50 in a month to cash out to PayPal, then maybe I will take advantage of the QR deal. Right now, though, I am done at BB. Too bad...I really liked stopping in the store, even if it was just to browse:sad1:.

Overall, they are the same....a 12% savings. You can either redeem once a month for a $25 Target/Wal-Mart gift card and spend 2200 SB and in two months you will have a $50 Disney gift card which cost you 4400 SB...

...or you can redeem 5000 SB for PayPal and buy a $50 Disney gift card from Best Buy and you will receive a "rebate" of 600 SB, making your net expense 4400 SB.

It's the same deal, it just depends on how fast you are earning your SB and how soon you need your gift cards. With the first option, you can get $25 every month. With the second option, you have to wait until you've earned $50 and you have to wait 30 days until the final 100 SB credits to your account.

Ok...so I can CONFIRM that you can buy gift cards with gift cards in PA!!!!
After reading the posts I flew to my nearest BB. Said they had Disney in stock online but unfortunately they were out! However since I wanted to try it out (and need gas for my trips and don’t want to get stuck with the $600 worth I have..lol) I successfully purchased Exxon and Shell cards. Girl didn’t even flinch when I checked out. I only did 2 transactions with the SB codes because I wasn’t sure what would happen. When I asked about why there were no Disney they said some lady keeps coming in and wiping them out! I’m contemplating driving to the next nearest that shows in stock which would be an hour away...
I still have $450 in BB cards to use up
Also in PA- I used a BB gift card for Starbucks gc with no issue on 5/1

I'll throw in the monkey wrench, if you also do Best Buy Rewards then the option where you buy the GC with Paypal monies will also get you BB rewards points in addition to the SB. If that sways anything.

Harrisburg. However, I bought Starbucks because BB was out of Disney, so definitely check stock before you do a road trip.

Sweet, I'll be passing by there this weekend so if I strike out locally at least I might have a chance there if it's still working by then. My backup for Disney is a gas card. It was going to be a hard sell to detour through Selinsgrove for a GC :)

Which store? My store is out and we are thinking of going to Hollywood on the weekend and I’d drive over to the one on Jonestown road. If the SB deal is still on, I’d buy a few $50 cards. It shows in stock online but so did my store and they were out!

Mechanicsburg- Jonestown Rd. Does show in stock. Could you order online for store pick up? I was only getting one low value card, so it wasn't worth it to cross the river. We leave Saturday and I haven't started packing yet, so I couldn't justify taking the time.

Yeah I think certain stores flagged it. Especially if people were buying so much of a specific brand. My store worked yesterday and has tons of Disney gift cards left. The one I bought on 4/1 ending in 0 and the one I bought yesterday ends in 4. They have the exact same other numbers.
