Disney Gift Card Deals

I'm new! Sorry if this is a silly question. For the SB bonus, does my email address for Best Buy rewards program need to match my swagbacks email? I'm assuming that is how they know to credit my account? I have several email addresses. lol.

Nope. That QR code you have them scan is what ties the purchase to your SB account.

You should see a bonus offer on that page for 500sb on purchases $50 or more, done in-store (or buying from the weekly ad). Buying a $50 GC in-store using your QR code will get you the 500sb plus 100sb for the purchase itself ($6).
And of course you know about the Chase Pay at Best Buy with your Freedom card this quarter :)

Thank you! I’m gonna give it a go.

Question for BestBuy rewards members...

Do you EARN Best Buy rewards when you PAY with a Best Buy gift card??

I am an Elite Plus member and it says that I earn 6% in rewards, but I can't figure out if that is on ALL Best Buy purchases or just the ones that I make with my Best Buy Visa card.

The reason I ask is because I just realized that our school's TRIP program has BB gift cards with a 4% credit towards our tuition. What I have been doing is using my BB Visa and then cashing out my Swagbucks to PayPal and using that to pay the BB bill. If I can use the PayPal money to buy the BB gift card from TRIP and earn the 4% tuition credit without sacrificing the Best Buy rewards, then it would be worth it to me to add the extra step.

Does anyone know how this works?

EDIT: I think I just figured it out...1.25 points per dollar on ANY purchase and 3 points per dollar on purchases made on the credit card. So that means if I charge the $50 to my Visa, I'll earn 150 points...250 points = $5 rewards. I guess I will stick to what I am doing right now.

Did you go to the store to do this? I got the same email and am wondering if it will work. when I print out the QR code associated with it, it does say "in store," so I'm really hoping it works!

I believe it's for online purchases.

@gottalovepluto I just signed into my account and saw this:

After clicking the x on the white circle I see the same offer:

When I click on it a new window opens:
upload_2018-4-6_15-9-6.png

I did an online purchase as shown it says "pending". When I click on the terms another window opens describing "swagups". On my account it looks like I'm only getting 1,000 rather than 1500.

Terms to Swagups:
In order to receive the award connected with this SwagUp, you must perform the activity with which it is connected.

  1. A Rebate SwagUp:
This type of SwagUp issues you an SB rebate when you redeem a gift card. For example, you might receive a SwagUp that rebates you 500 SB on your next gift card redemption. If you have this type of SwagUp, when you redeem your SB for a gift card, you will automatically receive 500 SB provided the gift card for which you redeemed your SB is greater than the amount of the SwagUp. In other words, if you redeemed 300 SB for a $3 Amazon Gift Card, you would not receive the 500 SB rebate for which the SwagUp is valid because the rebate amount is greater than the number of SB you cashed-in.
You can read a more detailed explanation of this here - I removed link .

All SwagUps have an expiration date. If you have multiple SwagUps applied to your account for the same type of award, i.e., multiple SwagUps that issue rebates, they are applied on a “First to Expire Basis”.

I did receive an email about $3 Amazon GC. I didn't realize these points expire. o_O

It looks like your 1500 is between the 2 swagups, the 1000 for the online purchase (which is the pretty standard sign up bonus for a while now, I got it when I signed up last year) and then the one below it for 500 on your first SB Local purchase. Still a nice sign up bonus if you have any SB Local locations around. One thing to note on the swagup expiration dates listed, you have until 11:59pm PT on the day before to use it. Once the date listed rolls around the deal is expired. So for your SB Local bonus, the last day to use it is really 4/20.

SB points expire after 2 years. If you haven't logged in after 6 months your account goes inactive and your points may expire that way too. (At least that's what their Help Center still says) They will send little reminders about redeeming for GC's if you haven't done it in a while or haven't participated on the site for a while. Even with a new account they'll send a little reminder, I think they want you to cash out quick so you get hooked :)

But if you're doing it for Disney GC's I'm sure remembering to cash out is not going to be a problem.

Ok, I'll take one for the team this time. I bought a BB gift card and scanned my Swagbucks QR code so we should see in a few days what happens. I'm predicting a "0sb" email but we will see.

I was planning to buy a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card from BB anyway so I could use Chase Pay to get 5% back on the purchase. I'm just adding a step into it by buying the BB gift card first.

Here's what I did:
1. Scan the SB QR code
2. Enter BB rewards member number (since I'll still earn points on the GC purchase)
3. Loaded $50 BB Gift card
4. Scan the Chase Pay QR code

Now where is the "impatiently waiting" emoji to insert here? :p

No, people are using BB gift cards (typically discounted through swagbucks rewards or other offers) to purchase Disney gift cards. The BB gift cards are excluded from the 500sb offer as stated in the terms. We think either the terms exclude only Best Buy gift cards and not others available at the store or count Disney gift cards as "entertainment cards" like Target does.

So people are able to use the QR code to buy Disney gift cards, even though it says that gift cards are excluded?

Yes, that's what I did. I bought a $50 Disney gift card, paid with my BB Visa (which I paid off with funds from Swagbucks cashed out to PayPal) and got the 500 bonus SB and I have 100 SB pending for the shop and earn credit.

Yes. Because Swagbucks terms like to be vague we aren't sure why it works. It may be that just Best Buy gift cards or excluded or because Disney gift cards count as "entertainment" cards. Or it's an awesome glitch in our favor!

In wake of the recent Target gift card policy change, dose Walmart allow their gift cards to be used to purchase Disney Gift Cards?
I have done it in the past. But it was always a pain. I’m switching to Best Buy for now. Because we almost have our trip covered and Best buy has gas cards. So I’ll start picking those up.

Have $150 in Target. Will just use those towards groceries and buy the gift cards with grocery money.

I have $30 in Target FWP gift cards. For now, my plan is that the next time I go to Target with a planned purchase of >$25, I will toss a $25 Disney gift card in my cart too. Then, when I check out, I will use $25 of my gift cards and my RedCard. That way, in my brain, it will be a 1:1 conversion even though Target will see it as if I used my gift cards on the groceries:teeth:. I don't plan on redeeming any of my rewards (Swagbucks, Shopkick, Fetch, etc) for Target as long as BB is still a viable option. I'll stick with BB for now since it's a better return anyways.

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, April 8, Shoprite is again running the "buy a $50 gift card get a $10 credit off your next grocery bill" promotion (credit to be used April 15-21). My ad specifically had a picture of a Disney gift card.

Holy Cow - that's fantastic! We have a Shop Rite in my town!

It seems like a lot of the things posted here are for stores not in my area or for things I don't use. I think this will be the first time I'm able to really get "free" money.

Question: mine says 'one per customer' - does that mean I can only buy one total? Or would it allow me to buy another one on another shopping trip? It's linked to the store reward card, so I don't know if it would flag me as having "used" the promotion once before.
