Disney Gift Card Deals

Holy Cow - that's fantastic! We have a Shop Rite in my town!

It seems like a lot of the things posted here are for stores not in my area or for things I don't use. I think this will be the first time I'm able to really get "free" money.

Question: mine says 'one per customer' - does that mean I can only buy one total? Or would it allow me to buy another one on another shopping trip? It's linked to the store reward card, so I don't know if it would flag me as having "used" the promotion once before.
You can only buy one. However last week I used my sons card and my mothers card. The way I figure it is that I got $250 in Disney for $200. Gonna do it again this week.

Acme MyMixx has the same coupons. Initially I was with @gottalovepluto until this morning when I saw them in my coupon offers and the light bulb went off that Discover and Chase both have grocery stores as the 5% category. So while straight out the discount is only a dollar or two at best, if you can buy them with Discover or Chase you'll get a little extra bump.

I'm in my first year of Discover so I think I'll buy them to help me max out the quarter because I'll get 10% back when you factor in the CB match.

Correct me if my math is wrong, but when I looked it up, it said the fee for the $50 Visa gift cards are $2.95 each and for the $100 ones is $3.95 each. So basically you will get $300 in gift cards for $288.80. If you are in first year of Discover, $28.88 back. Plus if your store does gas rewards, another $.50 off a gallon ( about $8) for me. Take the $300 Visa gift cards to BJ's and get 3 $100 for $95.99 each..

So basically $312.03 (extra $12.03 on Visa from BJs) toward Disney vacation for $251.92. Or about 20% off.

That's a unique situation so take advantage while you can. Not many people are in the first year of Discover + can combo fuel rewards + have a physical BJs/Sams Club would work too maybe? (I once ordered a dis gc from bjs online using vgc... I've been banned from online purchasing from them ever since- as has anyone at any address I ever had stuff from BJs shipped to or used as a billing address. Never use a vgc to order from BJs online!)

**Update** fees on the $50 card are $4.95 each and $100 card are $5.95 each... and gas rewards don't earn on gift cards that could potentially be used at Safeway/Von's/Randall's/etc.

I have successfully ordered gift cards online at BJs.com but never with a Visa gift card. Hopefully it works.

I was going to ask where you are that you could get them so cheap :) Oh well. When I bought a AmEx gift card last year I did get gas points for it but I've read they fixed that so I'm not counting on getting gas rewards. I've ordered from Bj's with a Visa gift card, I just make sure I register the card first so all the name and billing address info will match. You can only use 1 form of payment when buying online, so I used a $100 VGC for a $100 Disney and then took the remainder of the VGC to Target to put towards another one. I haven't tried them in-store at Bj's so don't know how many can be used in one transaction there.

I have done it in the past. But it was always a pain. I’m switching to Best Buy for now. Because we almost have our trip covered and Best buy has gas cards. So I’ll start picking those up.

Have $150 in Target. Will just use those towards groceries and buy the gift cards with grocery money.

Can I ask why it was a pain? I was considering switching my Bing Rewards cashouts to Wal-mart gift cards but don't want to if it's going to be a hassle.

Glad to see the Shoprite deal is back. I bought the $50 Disney card last time they ran the promotion but forgot to redeem the $10 off coupon last week. (Grrrrr). At least I was able to use the Chase freedom so it feel under the 5% back.
I won’t make that mistake again!

Yes, that's what I did. I bought a $50 Disney gift card, paid with my BB Visa (which I paid off with funds from Swagbucks cashed out to PayPal) and got the 500 bonus SB and I have 100 SB pending for the shop and earn credit.
How long until the 500sb showed in your account?

The limit is 1 per Price Plus cardholder, though I'm uncertain whether certificates from other Price Plus cards can be used on a different transaction (i.e., if you need to present the same card when you use the certificate). The discount will appear at the bottom of your receipt in the form of a certificate that you have to tear off. When you go to use it the cashier types in a code from the certificate, thus I was uncertain about the Price Plus card presentation issue.

Ok, I'll take one for the team this time. I bought a BB gift card and scanned my Swagbucks QR code so we should see in a few days what happens. I'm predicting a "0sb" email but we will see.

I was planning to buy a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card from BB anyway so I could use Chase Pay to get 5% back on the purchase. I'm just adding a step into it by buying the BB gift card first.

Here's what I did:
1. Scan the SB QR code
2. Enter BB rewards member number (since I'll still earn points on the GC purchase)
3. Loaded $50 BB Gift card
4. Scan the Chase Pay QR code

Now where is the "impatiently waiting" emoji to insert here? :p

Reporting back, Swagbucks was quick to pick up the shop this time. Color me surprised, but I have shop points pending from this visit and I got the bonus today.

However, as several of us have reported on the SB thread, SB is being very goofy with shops this weekend. I have partial and double credits show up on shops that were completed days or weeks ago. Since SB is glitching out on shops right now I'd take this with a grain of salt and not depend on it working all the time, but I'll leave it with you to do as you will with it.

Wanted to report on the SB offer. I have now done this numerous times (honestly I am stopping by daily to grab two $50 GC, using a different QR Code each time). The shops are all showing as pending and I have been getting the 500 SB bonus per GC (but it does take several days). I am doing this in batches in case the offer suddenly stops working and also because the 200 SB for the pending shop daily will help me meet my first daily SB goal.

Make sure you are using your best buy reward number to also earn credit there. It adds up fast.

I thought you couldn't earn rewards on gift card purchases.

You can use a Disney GC for anything that is owned by Disney. Any restaurant, gift shop, snack cart, park tickets, resort stays, anything! Almost all travel agents will take them also since they are paying directly to Disney.

I believe some snack carts are cash or credit card only and some restaurants do accept them.

I don’t print them out because I don’t have ink. Hah. So I always just have places scan the phone. No issue anywhere but Walmart. The ones local to me can’t scan them. So they have to type them in one by one. It works. But just an added annoyance.

I have $30 in Target FWP gift cards. For now, my plan is that the next time I go to Target with a planned purchase of >$25, I will toss a $25 Disney gift card in my cart too. Then, when I check out, I will use $25 of my gift cards and my RedCard. That way, in my brain, it will be a 1:1 conversion even though Target will see it as if I used my gift cards on the groceries:teeth:. I don't plan on redeeming any of my rewards (Swagbucks, Shopkick, Fetch, etc) for Target as long as BB is still a viable option. I'll stick with BB for now since it's a better return anyways.
Same. But I’ll buy the gift cards more often at BB. It’s harder to be able to convert them if they stop letting you buy gift card with gift card.
