Disney Gift Card Deals

Sorry, one more question. Did yours show estimated tax? Mine is.

I bought one and it appears they tacked on $5.64 in taxes, which is odd. I sent a message to them, so we'll see what they say. I'm wondering if the tax portion will fall off before the charge posts since I noticed it said "estimated" tax.

What Amex card did you see this offer on? I usually don't get the AMEX offers described here so am gathering data on which card is likely to get offers that can be applied for a Disney trip. I rarely buy anything but groceries and a little fuel so just about all the offers I get on my AMEX card don't do me any good to save money. Thanks.

I had this on my SPG card (non business), but I find the offers to be very random in general. My favorite Amex offers are the ones that allow me to purchase a gift card for future use - especially the Visa gift cards!

On the chance that Target does that 10% gift card deal again, can someone refresh my memory on how it worked?

I have to work from 5am-5pm on Black Friday so no store shopping for me. I will have to anything I can online and I really would like to get at least $900 worth of gift cards. IIRC, you could get a max of $300 at a time, per person, per store/transaction, right? I have DVC dues that will cost just a bit over $1K so I'd actually like about $1K worth if I could make that work, but it would be almost impossible to do online. Was this a deal that lasted all day? Or was it limited to certain hours or until supplies ran out? Ugh...I mean, it's silly for me to really worry too much about it...I did the math and it's really only going to save me about $50...but that's $50 more towards Disney!

It was all day last time and it was on a Sunday I believe. I was able to buy 4500 by doing 300 per transaction. Just kept getting in line. I know others who got 9000 and 12000 and more.

It was on my personal SPG card too. Not on my BCP or BCE.

It was NOT on Black Friday. It was on December 4th. I bought over $2000 worth of gift cards to pay for my DVC dues and my annual December trip. In addition, I used Target gift cards to buy Target gift cards. I bought Target gift cards from my local HyVee on my AMEX Blue Preferred card, received 6% back and 20-cents per gallon per $100 in fuel rewards. Unfortunately, I didn't get my AMEX card until the day of the Target sale so I could only get 6% on $1,000 (daily credit limit or something) and I had to use my Visa card at 1% for the rest. In all, I bought $2000 worth of Target gift cards at HyVee, bought $2,222 worth of Target gift cards at Target and received $60 on the AMEX card and $10 on my Visa card, and then another $20 in fuel perks. So, for a $2000 outlay I received $312 worth of extra gift cards, cash and fuel for a 15.6% discount.

You can definitely do them all together. Best Buy stores carry variable load cards that can fit up to $500 on them. You can ask for $495 if you want and pay for it with all your eGCs and savings codes. That’s just 6 codes the cashier has to scan. I believe you can use up to 10 gift cards/codes/certificates in one transaction.

And for me, when ordering & linking my BB Rewards #, I usually earn enough for an additional $5 promo reward, bringing the grand total to a nice round $500.

Are you planning on using the Best Buy Deal? It's still valid.

I thought about it...but I have a few more weeks before the funds will be in my savings account to pay the CC bill. I plan to put the charge on my Red Card (to get either the 5% discount or the 10% discount, if they run the special) and pay it off when the bill comes. That means it won't be due until the middle of January at the earliest. If I jumped on the Best Buy deal, the bill would be due before I have the funds available to pay it off. Thanks for pointing it out, though. It's something to think about for next year...

Best Buy has been running this deal a lot lately so I'm sure you'll see it again. :-)

Just to clarify, with the $15 bonus for $150 GC purchase, you buy a $150 BB gift card (not Disney) and then turn around and buy Disney GCs with the $150+$15 BB GCs?
Yes :) I have started to buy the Disney GCs now and will buy more in Dec after the bonus $15 ones arrive. BB definitely sells the blank GCs that you can load up to $500 on. I bought 4 cards, $2000 worth, on one transaction yesterday. Used 14 of the BB gift card print out codes in store and it was not a problem paying that way.

Were you guys able to purchase 3 $150 BB GCs from Cashstar in one purchase? It wants me to check out with each $150 GC separately.

Yeah, had no problem buying 3 X $150 = $450. It wouldn't let you just keep adding another gift card to your cart?

I ended up using my google express amex offer to buy a pair of tp link mini plugs for my mom and dad (paid about $33 for the pair). My sister got a free echo dot and she's determined to have Alexa turn on and off their Christmas decorations. Better her than me!

You can also try 1 GC for $450 if still having trouble. When you checkout you'll see 3 $15 savings codes added.

After I add 1 $150 to the cart, it reloads the page showing the gift cards again and I can add 2 more like that. There's a max of $500 per cart, so after the 3rd it only gives me the option for a $50.
