FYI:
Far North Houston area - I just purchased a $50 Disney card using a target gift card. I then purchased $300 Target GC using Target GCs I had purchased at Kroger. Process was repeated by my DH and DD.

Well I tried making several online purchases with different email addresses between myself and my husband. I used the same credit card and while I haven't received official cancellation from Target the money has been posted back to my credit card already. But hopefully the one I used with my redcard goes through. I may have to try and make extra purchases instore.
ETA My lone redcard online purchase has gone through and I have the egift card. And 2 of my CC purchases went through. The only ones that were cancelled were on my husband's email addresses. Maybe try using his debit instead.

Bought two $300 gift cards in electronics then went to front to try to buy two more to be told they are not selling gift cards, there is a glitch in the system and they all have zero balance. Went to customer service to be told the same, tried to explain they are not active until tomorrow. Didn't listen to a word I said but said they would honor 10% tomorrow. Wonder how many I can buy tomorrow with the 2 I bought today? Not that I would do such

Sorry for not following up sooner, been busy trying to get everything together for Christmas. I ended up going to the store since I planned on going out anyway. Went to the self scan. I grabbed a card for $150 (had $135 in gift cards already). The first 2 I had were physical cards and went thru fine. The second was the print out of the card I purchased with the am ex reward offer would not. Cashier told me the self checkout won't take those, but the physical registers would. First she tried to convert that card to a physical card (put $110 on a card and used that to pay leaving $1 left on the first card), but then realized I couldn't use that card to finish out my transaction since it wouldn't be activated until tomorrow so she canceled the whole thing out and rang up my $150 on the register. 2 associates ended up helping and neither batted an eye an were super nice about it. After that I ran over to Meijer to use the $175 I got from Kroger's am ex deal to get a target card (wanted to make sure my target would let me do gc to gc since it's been awhile and the issue I had this morning online). I put in another $25 and got a $200 target card. I got $20 back in mperks. Then went back across the street to target. Grabbed $250 on this one and paid with the card i had just gotten and the remainder with some of the money I had set aside for over if my son's presents that I was going to get at target anyway. Overall I'm pretty happy with my turnout.

I'm at my target right now. I asked 2 people to verify if I bought a target card today, I could use that to purchase another gift card at a later date. I have been told no by 2 people. I asked to see the policy and it is actually on the back of the target card that they are not redeemable on gift cards. I guess I'm out of luck

Rule#1 - Never ask questions at Target. The answer is almost certainly always going to be "no".

DH and I visited Target this morning, and purchased a lot of gift cards. DH got "caught" by the manager, who informed him that he was only allowed to buy $300. DH played dumb, and said "Oh, I thought it was $300 per transaction, and my wife told me to do it 3 times." The manger said he would let it go this time, but that DH shouldn't buy any more cards.

Now the trick will be whether or not we will be able to convert to Disney. I guess we will find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Hey y'all ! just got back from target. flipped 1k in target GCs! $100 money maker!
Now to wait for a buy 2 GCs get a $5 gc sale or flip them into disney immediately .

On the back of the card it specifies that it can't be used to buy Amex/MC/Visa and prepaid gift cards. Disney cards are not excluded . Myself and many others have bought Disney cards with Target cards. I'm sorry if you missed out on this deal due to wrong info.

Kicking myself for not adding this step first today as I clipped that reward a couple weeks ago and forgot all about it. I see that you can use it a total of 10 times but I'm curious how it works. Do you get a coupon right away or does it become clippable the next day like other rewards?

It shows up on your acct to clip an hour or 2 after you do it. The $5 reward can't be used in a gc only purchase so has to be used for something else. I use our towards groceries.

It's just like the other rewards. Mine were there this afternoon when I checked. We buy groceries a lot at meijer so the savings will go towards that.

Thanks for the replies. I still need more Disney GC so will still take advantage of the deal before it goes away. We buy a lot of groceries and other items too so the rewards will definitely be used. Thanks again!
